Two sexy strikers right there that would be ideal for us but I think we need three striker's for next season at least. As much as I would love to slap myself in the face for saying this, if we have Cavani and Lukaku as our main goalscorers then keep Torres for 3rd choice ST. Ship BA out to a small team like Arsenal I really wouldn't care to lose BA at all.

It's been such an emotional rollercoaster over the past 2 season's. This ending to the current campaign feel's so right even though we lost out on numerous trophies. From the sacking of RDM to the appointment of Rafa to the fan's disgust, it seem's to have all somehow aided the growth and transition of our new look Chelsea team. It feel's as if the timing of our transition couldn't have come at a better period in Premier League history with all the change at the top clubs. This summer is going to be the most exciting transfer window of them all for everyone. XPetrCechx is going to have a field day with his news update's. I have the biggest hardon for how promising next season is looking for us and man I hope it's Mourinho who's going to be the man to guide us to glory. Oh good win today lad's and thank you Paulo for everything, you have been a remarkable role model professional and have represented our club in the the highest and most dignified manner. Wish you all the best in whatever you do next in life. KTBFFH!

There's just something about these Belgian kid's. They love scoring against United and that's fine by me. Go on Lukaku my son.
-
Wow are we really having this Torres 'he's back because he scored a goal' bebate during a game again???? There's no helping some of our fan's lol!

I wouldn't say it's overrating KDB but unfairly comparing Oscar's performances in the Prem to KDB's in the Budesliga. They play in very differen't ways and if they had both been playing in the same squad this season then I think it is only then you can compare who was the more effective player in specific roles. Considering they have played out their season's in two different leagues, in two completley different teams in terms of overall skill and performance then it does come across as persumptuous and vague to say KDB's performances have outshone Oscar's.
-
The only people who were dissapointed with Oscar's contribution this season were the clueless brats who didn't take into consideration the fact that Oscar at the age of 21 has been playing constant football over the past two seasons without a break. 79 appearances for club and country I think. Now if you do consider that fact and look at the season he has had for us, then how can anyone criticise the impact he has made in his first season. I and many fans haven't doubted Oscar for a second. Even when he has played badly because he has dealt with not only the pressure of settling into a new country and club but also an Olympic summer and manic fixture list for us in the process, all done extremely well.

I was just about to say the same. Though I wouldn't sell Cech, If he is soon to retire from injury then I would keep him at the club in either the coaching staff or somewhere he could involve his world class knowledge of football and keep his general personality around the club. Cech is a big part of the gel in our squad and would be very much missed if he were to leave. I think there are a lot of managerial qualities in Cech.

Wow a year already.......feels like yesterday. Best night of my life. I love you Chelsea. Drooooooooogbbaaaaaaa hahahahahahah Oh yes!

Dude the Belgian's are passionate about their Club and National players. I can't see anything wrong about them expressing their desire for one of their National players to stay at their favourite Club when there are plenty of rumours surrounding his possible departure. I'd rather see the passion existing in our fan's than the alternative.

How would he play a game if he can't leave his home? Unless he lives in the RamΓ³n SΓ‘nchez PizjuΓ‘n Stadium at Sevilla FC!!! But even then he would be up shit creek for away games!
-
Are you seriously comparing Kevin De Bruyne's contribution in the Bundesliga to Lampard's contribution in the Premiership !?? Are you even a Chelsea fan?
-
Does Rmpr, Henrique or any other Brasillian on this forum have connections with or close to the manager of Brasil? If you do, do us all a favour and tell him to leave Oscar out of his plans or just use him as a bit part player. He need's a break... Thanks

I have an idea... Let's sign the next big thing. Loan him out to a club in a league where the two top club's having reached the final of the Champions League this year are busting a nut to sign him. Watch him tear the league up and sell him to one of those clubs interested thus strengthening one of them for a knock off price. Genius!

Yes maybe but I seriously think he has love for a Manchester United under the rule of Sir Alex Ferguson. Now Moyes is the gaffer, unproven as a manager at the level of United's expectation's, it could really sway Ronaldo's opinion of only wanting to play for them in England. The more I think about the possibility of this transfer the more I think it would be an amazing buy for us. Muzchap made me think twice about my opinion on CR7 stunting the growth of Hazard and in fact has a point that all the best players in the world want to play with best. Having taken the current situation of change at United into consideration. Where could Ronaldo go from a club like Real Madrid? Barcelona? No chance on earth. Byern Munich? Just can't see where he would fit into their squad now they have Gotze, Ribbery and Robben. Maybe played as a striker but with the rumours of Lewadowski arriving then I think that pretty much rules them out of the equation. The only two clubs I feel that are realistically able to afford Ronaldo's price tag and wages are us and PSG. So there could be a possible deal on the horizon though as sexy as it sounds, it is still nothing more than media speculation and I will be itching to see if there really is any substance behind these reported stories. Just imagine.. Hazard. Mata. Ronaldo as our attacking mids. Holy Shit!

Yea and If I remember rightly, it was the 'old gaurd' that were responsible for upsetting AVB's stay as I addressed in my previous post. JT, Ashley Cole and I think Lampard were the one's who disagreed with AVB's tactical decision's. The rest of our team is nothing like Madrid's and to say it is full of ego's like Madrid's is over the top.
-
I think he was just fed up in general though. The pressure obviously shattered his confidence and it reflected in his game, the media never let up on him. Maybe Rafa gives him a special sit on his knee time. I don't know.
-
Pulled of some very high quality saves last night. The scramble across goal and spread save from the Di Maria cross was just immense. Finally we have someone who is worthy of taking Cech's place when his time is up.
-
Wake up sleepy head. That was soo 2011/12.Who's left from the 'old gaurd' era that has a big ego...? JT, Mikel and maybe Ashley Cole but that's about it. Cech, Cahill, Azpi, Rami, Lampard, Romeu, Mata, Hazard, Oscar, Moses, Marin, Turnball and Hilarious all seem like very humble and down to earth people who just want to win at all costs minus the public dramas. Luiz can often be mistaken for having a big ego but actually infact he just has a big personality that most people seem to warm to. Torres is often portrayed as a sulker and a moaner by the tabloids whereas we call see he is a nice guy who just get's frustrated like any human being. To compare our squad with Real Madrid's bunch of overhyped pre-madonna's who act like they are living in a footballing soap opera is ridiculous and unfair on the bunch of players here at Chelsea.

Haha spot on Leif. I'm sure if this forum had it's way SeB would be odd's on favourite to become next Chelsea manager at Ladbrookes.

So many mixed reviews on Rafa but hate or like him you cannot take away the fact that he has handled himself in a very dignified and honorable manner. He arrived with the club burning effigies of his rotund self and the constant booing echoing around Stamford Bridge, chants calling for his head. The guy has stood strong and guided a disjointed Chelsea through a manic fixture list. This is not to say I'm a big fan of Rafa but after the job he has done for us I am definitely not fulfilled with hate as I once was. He isn't the first manager to mug us off publicly and he won't be the last and I seriously think our fans need to get over it, nod your cap at Rafa for booking us in the CL and bringing us..... ANOTHER TROPHY.. Time to move on.

I second that. I wasn't referring to your post's specifically to be honest. There has been mention of this debacle in previous discussions, I was just airing my opinion on the matter. I do agree with you.. I want to hang onto Courtois as he is the perfect replacement for Cech but somehow we need to do this without dropping Cech prematurely and without Courtois thinking he isn't wanted and for him to enjoy his time at whatever club we loan him to.

Only La Liga and Bundesliga are covered over here in detail Muzchapiio. Back in the day there use to be Football Italia on Channel 4 which I personally loved. That was when the Italian League was bursting at the seems with global superstars. That was when I first saw Del Piero donning white boots and my jaw dropped There is a Eurosport coverage of the Asian Leagues and some other leagues I think but nothing where you could see the progress of Tomas Kalas and other loaned out youth. Nothing I know about anyways. So when the foreign dudes like yourself and others on here report back the development of such players I am truly greatfull.
-
Soo true Tomo. This ''players need time to adapt to the Prem'' is another way of saying ok, you have a good player and we know that but if he has a bad debut season he still a good player just don't think he isn't because of the bad debut season lol. Hazard didn't need time to adapt. Oscar has adapted pretty damn well. As you mentioned above Aguero settled into the City straight away as did Silva. There are endless names that could be said for the same thing. Pundits, Critics, Commentators, all footballing people say that most foreign imports need time to adapt to the physicality of the Premiership and to some extent that is kind of true seeing as it is a fast, strong, physical league but a whole season? Naaa. It's the English culture that is more of a factor to why most players take time to discover their top form. The English weather is shit and so is most of the city landscape. It can come as abit of a shock to players who arrive from Spanish, South American and Italian origins. Courtois is a proven monster in La Liga and again as you have stated he has been one, if not the best goalkeeper there for the past few seasons. So this needing to loan him out to a Premiership club to prove his worth business is a load of bollocks.
-
Yea, I agree with the Meireles part for sure. He did a very good job when needed and I felt selling him was kind of premature. Caybaye's debut season was top notch. He had a blinder but despite injuries, even if Cabaye was to rediscover the same kind of form that made him one of the best CM's in the Prem last season I just can't see him becoming that consistent, playmaking genius we need in our deep lying midfield. You make a very good point about the price of Cabaye and if money really does become an issue after signing a top winger/CF then maybe we will have to look at the players in Cabaye's price range. Though I would rather push for developing Romeu and Chalobah troughout the season and bring in somebody like De Rossi who could defend the gates and allow Luiz to express his flair in mid.
