Is it Time to Start Drogba and Torres Together?
Ashblues replied to Justin_3d's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
I am not a supporter of starting Drogba and Torres together. But I can't see any other better option now. -
Then who should play at the right flank according to you?
-
Lol! I understood the opposite of what you are saying now. Anyway, may be Mata for sturridge at the right flank? I would prefer Sturridge though.
-
Agree. Both Robben and Ribery tends to cut inside and have a go. So Sturridge can help bosingwa. Similarly, at the left flank, Kalou should help cole. If we can neutralize their wing plays, we have better chances. And of course, Long Balls to Drogba so that he can bully those second string Bayern defenders. In General, our play should be a bit more defensive. A tall Chelsea defender is also needed to stop Gomez. Hope we can do it!

Champions League Final 2012 - Chelsea 1 (4)-(3) 1 Bayern Munich
Ashblues replied to BlueLion.'s topic in Champions Archive
Most of the Bayern Fans think that they have already won the CL. But, I am very confident that we can scare them if Robbie decides to give special attention in stopping the Bayern Wingers ( Robben, Ribery) probably by doing double that is helping Cole and Bosingwa . And long balls to Drogba will also be great as he can bully those second string Bayern defenders. It will be a very tough match. Looking forward to this....eagerly.... -
Priorities according to me 1. Creative midfielder (Modric-esque) 2. Genuine Winger 3. A very good right back. We have many strikers already. Sturridge is good at that position. Lukaku also showed glimpses of his talent. Then there is Torres. So, no more striker(s) needed IMO.

If Bellamy does not play, It will be easier. Also Suarez.

Champions League Final 2012 - Chelsea 1 (4)-(3) 1 Bayern Munich

I really fear Robben and Ribery. If both of them play we need to play in defensive mode. And there must be some regular training at Cobham for penalty shootout. -
Congrats to my fellow Chelsea fans! But one thing that really shook me to the core was the amount of abuse directed at Terry by my fellow Chelsea fans. I know he made a mistake, but we can not make mistake by slating him. He has been immense this whole season. And remember, he is playing with broken ribs. How many of us can do this? He is a true leader, a legend, and always will remain as that to true Chelsea fans. My request to admins and/or moderators of Talkchelsea is that please take action if someone here abuses John Terry, the captain of CFC.

If the reported £8.5 million deal is completed, it is anticipated De Bruyne will be loaned back to Belgian champions Genk for the rest of the Pro League season. "Dirk Degraen is in London and the expectation is that it (the transfer of De Bruyne) will be finished this week,'' a Genk spokesman said. "The assumption is that Kevin de Bruyne will be transferred to Chelsea and then will finish the season (on loan) at Genk.'' Clubs eye Shaqiri as Turkey deal stall "Shaqiri's club Basel wanted a transfer fee that we would not accept and as a result negotiations have come to an end," Galatasaray vice-president Ali Durust said. In a statement, Galatasaray added: "Negotiations with the professional football player Xherdan Shaqiri which began on the 23rd January 2012 have come to an end, we have not agreed terms with [shaqiri] and his club F.C Basel." Shaqiri, 20, has been linked with Tottenham and AC Milan, as well as United, and there was some surprise that such a highly-rated player had not been snapped up by one of Europe's established powers, rather than Galatasaray. Basel are reportedly holding out for around £20 million. Source: http://soccernet.esp...llapses?cc=4716

Torres of Chelsea is a great playmaker.
-
Most of the reports say it is going to be another loan deal. Sigh
-
Agree 100%. He should be given chance in our squad to play alongside quality players. He is still better than Malouda, Kalou, so, will be really good to give him playtime NOW!!!!!!!!

SFor all the latest reports and transfer rumours, visit our dedicated section here. Nice have reportedly emerged as the frontrunners to land Chelsea winger Gael Kakuta, according to L'Equipe. Don't Miss De Bruyne claims Chelsea want to sign him Dijon coach: Marseille want Chelsea's Kakuta Ligue 1 players who could leave in January Kakuta not set to play for DR Congo The 20-year-old Frenchman, who made a controversial move to Stamford Bridge from Lens in 2007, is expected to join a Ligue 1 club during the January transfer window. Even though Saint-Etienne and Marseille were both apparently interested, it had been thought that Dijon were leading the chase for Kakuta’s signature. However, L’Equipe have suggested that Dijon are not in a position to meet the youngster’s wage demands and Nice are now allegedly ready to pounce. Nice are currently 17th in Ligue 1 but Kakuta, who has been capped at every under-age grade level by France, is reportedly willing to move to a smaller club in order to secure more regular first-team football after the failure of his loan spell with Bolton during the first half of this season.

''My dad was a massive Chelsea fan and I used to go with him to Stamford Bridge quite regularly but my mates were all QPR fans and so I used to also go to some games at Loftus Road with them. I never really classed myself as a fan of either but since playing for QPR I'd say my allegiance is more towards them. They are the team whose results I look out for. I don't care for Chelsea anymore; there is no allegiance there whatsoever. In fact, seeing as they are our rivals now, I hope they lose every game!'' -------------------------------------------------------------------PETER CROUCH Source: http://qprreport.blo...-supported.html
