What a deluded bunch of Villa fans. I have seen that happen countless of times before, usually when a club legend plays his final match before retiring or moving on. Just because Villa fans only came up with this in the year 2012 when their captain got sick doesn't mean it wasn't invented decades ago. There's hardly anything unique left in football anyway and every chant as well as other ways of supporting the team have probably been done before so no reason to get butthurt over it.

No excuses, this is a game we must win. In recent years Fulham have been a tough opponent for us but with the situation we're in now we can't afford to lose any points here.
-
Post-match press conference, I suppose. Got those quotes from Chelsea's official twitter account.
-
Of course but for now we're stuck with him at least until January and Benitez must know he can't expect Torres to suddenly be the player he was before. Sooner or later it will hurt the team spirit if he keeps saying things like that and puts the blame on anyone but the ladyboy himself.
-
Benitez: "Torres was trying very hard, he had a good chance, but the team has to create chances for him to score goals. The team has to help Fernando. All of us have to help Fernando." FFS is he for real? Haven't we been down this 'lack of service' road before? Torres is a shadow of the player he was when he last played under Benitez and that's a fact. His legs are gone and even with the confidence level he had at Liverpool he wouldn't be anywhere near the player he was before. Today he was in a good position numerous times but he was so slow that City's defense caught him with ease every time. A few years ago Torres would have flown past them and scored but he's not the same man anymore and the sooner Benitez realizes that the better.

A clean sheet, I had already forgotten those exist at Chelsea! Solid at the back but we had fuck all going forward and overall the performance wasn't anywhere near good enough. To get only one shot on target, that being a desperate free kick from 40 yards, is unacceptable. Benitez needs to find the right balance between defense and attack. With Di Matteo the three maestros had no defensive responsibilities and that resulted in a lot goals conceded but now Rafa had instructed Mata and Hazard to offer cover to the full-backs which made our attacking nearly nonexistent. Azpilicueta easily man of the match. Moses was horrible after coming on, what does it take for the manager to give Marin a chance?
-
Tevez not in the starting lineup for City, thank God.
-
Congrats!

Should have known, why did I even bother watching this shit? United always start badly and we all get our hopes up but then they come from behind to win the game.
-
Don't jinx it!
-
As things stand, West Brom are third on the league table.
-
@milan.cech, didn't hear any words of protest from you so I decided to give it a go. Looks decent.
-
That's interesting. Don't the rules prohibit clubs from offering a contract to Cole before January? PSG could be in some trouble if they've tapped him up and sealed the transfer before they're even allowed to talk to him about a move.
-
That would make an epic signature picture! I might just try that if you don't mind?

Hardly a surprise to anyone but if even half of that is true, then Liverpool have reached a new low. Endangering the career of their 26-year-old star player who at the time was still the best striker in Europe just for the sake of a few games, without even telling the player what's really going on is disgusting. Also them delaying his record transfer to Chelsea until the very last minute so that we couldn't do a thorough medical analysis on him is something I wouldn't have expected even Liverpool being capable of doing. Liverpool truly are the most despicable club on earth.

Benitez already sacked? No sign of him at the press conference, should have started 25 minutes ago.

I hate my life, that is exactly what happened today. I woke up with a terrible headache and literally had to go throw up as soon as I saw Benitez smirking on the official website. I admit it might have had more to do with all the drinking I did yesterday rather than Benitez but seeing Rafa certainly didn't help. Believe me when I tell you that crashing out of Europe, Di Matteo getting sacked and then appointing Benitez as his replacement all within 24 hours added together with the worst hangover I've had in my life didn't feel good.

He hasn't managed any team in nearly two years now and we all remember how horrible he was at Inter and during his last season at Liverpool. I honestly don't understand how he could do any better than Di Matteo for the rest of the season because the players will have to get used to his complicated training methods and tactics and that could take a while, so we shouldn't expect anything from him anytime soon. While I understand the reasoning of Di Matteo's sacking and believe it might have been the right call long term wise, I don't get why he had to go now when there really are no better alternatives available. Why sack managers just for the sake of sacking them? If there's someone I would be happy to take in this situation it would be Redknapp. Tactically that guy is clueless but he's a decent man manager and that's what we need right now to sort this mess out. Offer him a short term contract and we're set to go till next summer when we can make a more permanent appointment.
-
Fuck this shit, I feel like drinking. Hopefully when I wake up tomorrow with the worst hangover in history, the first thing I'm going to see won't be that ugly cunt Benitez's face on the front page of chelseafc.com
-
He's a cancer to this club. Him playing below expectations has played a big part in the sackings of three of our previous managers. I can only hope that Abramovich isn't stupid enough to appoint the one manager that has got the best out of Torres in recent years, the clown that is Rafa Benitez.
-
A sad but expected outcome. Di Matteo deserves better than to be sacked after a few bad results but he has himself to blame too, we have been truly abysmal this month and his tactics have been questionable to say the least. I wasn't expecting him to be sacked so soon after yesterday's game but surely this means we already have a replacement lined up and can expect an announcement to be made soon, probably within a couple of days. No chance of getting Guardiola yet so we can forget about him till next summer but please God, don't let it be Benitez or Grant. Laurent Blanc would be my choice but I could live with Redknapp as the manger till the end of the season. For the record, I fucking hate West Bromwich. A defeat at the Hawthorns ended up being both AVB's as well as Di Matteo's last league game as the Chelsea manager.
-
Laurent Blanc?

Okay, maybe my post was a bit unnecessary but you do know that the support goes both ways? Torres has failed us once again and doesn't deserve our support any more, that ship has sailed a long time ago and I'm not alone thinking it's best for everyone he moves on as soon as possible. Sturridge on the other hand hasn't even got a proper chance so you have to understand that it can easily get on peoples' nerves when those few Torres lovers who we have left here are always bashing Danny and Torres being shit is never his own fault and he should somehow have a divine right to start every game no matter how bad his form is. I've got nothing wrong with people sticking with our players through rough patches but I only wish everyone were treated equally. So far Torres has done nothing in his 20 month Chelsea career to deserve any special treatment.
