  1. Cech Azpi - Ivanovic - Cahill - Bertrand Mikel - Ramires Marin - Mata - Hazard Sturridge Probably not going to happen but I'm desperate to see Marin start this one.
  2. He was talking about the summer of 2010 when Neymar was only 18 years old and the media hype surrounding him wasn't anywhere near like it is today. Back then he came very close to joining Chelsea and the deal was all set but Neymar backed out in the last minute and decided to stay at Santos. I suppose we were after him again in 2011 but he had already made up his mind to stay in Brazil until after the World Cup in 2014 and then he's probably going to Barcelona. Last year we got Mata instead of him so I'm not too disappointed.
  3. Marin slowly regaining match fitness by playing today for Chelsea U21's against Crystal Palace. A shame about the injuries, he was very impressive during pre-season and at the start of the season I had such high hopes for him. I seriously hope he stays fit from now on and will be able to make his PL debut soon.
  4. How much more could he possibly do when he's only given a chance with less than 10 minutes to go? If there's one thing I think Di Matteo should be looking to improve it's his substitutions. Most of the time they're too late to have an impact on the game.
  5. Yeah, no need to mix things up as our defence has been wonderful lately... People have been crying for Di Matteo to do something about the shaky defending and when he does he is doubted immediately. Have some faith people.
  6. And that is a bad thing, because...? The fact still remains that Walcott would improve our team at the moment. He'd offer us something entirely different than some of our current attacking options and that is being a very direct player with explosive pace. Also in the last couple of years his all around play has improved a lot in my opinion and he's no longer this brainless sprinter like you consider him to be. If he's willing to come and a squad role is enough for him, we would be stupid to not take him.
  7. Taking one for the team, massive respect!
  8. Fuck, you just knew that cunt was going to score when he came on...
  9. He can be a frustrating player at times but I can't see why this would be a bad move. 24-year-old players of Walcott's quality aren't available for free too often so I wouldn't mind if we got him.
  10. Lukaku in the starting lineup against Wigan, kick-off in 15 minutes. So far he has started two games and scored in both of them so let's hope he scores today as well!
  11. The English media have estimated it to be around £170k a week but reports in Belgium and France have said all along that he earns 130k euros per week. Either way, it's definitely more than £100k and he should be included in @Las7's list. Still, that doesn't change the fact our wage bill is finally starting to look healthy and in a few years Terry, Lampard, Cole, Cech and hopefully Torres too will all be gone and that's a huge amount of money saved in wages when their replacements don't earn anywhere near the same as they are now. Obviously the likes of Mata, Oscar etc. are going to get improved wages when they continue playing well and are becoming senior players at the club but gone are the days when even the bench warmers made ridiculous amounts of money at Chelsea.
  12. C'mon Anzhi, score a couple more goals for me! I placed a bet on Liverpool to lose by at least two goals when I saw the lineups. Some extra money would be more than welcome at the moment...
  13. He said that before making his Chelsea debut, not yesterday. Unacceptable comment and at the time I was furious with him but with the kind of performances he's had recently he's winning me back already. Let's just hope he doesn't mention a transfer to Barcelona ever again. A quick question: Should Di Matteo try starting Moses start up front instead of Torres? That way he wouldn't have to bench any of the three magicians and could also start with the in-form attacker we have in Moses. Granted he doesn't have much experience of playing as the lone striker but I believe it could still be worth a try.
  14. As it stands, Shakhtar are ahead of us on away goals even if we scored another and it stayed 3-2. Not good enough, I'm afraid. At least two goals needed without conceding.
  15. Hazard been shit so far. Lost the ball way too many times.
  16. Anyone have a decent stream for this? Mine is laggy as fuck, missed both goals already...
  17. I didn't mean him scoring a screamer from outside the box or anything like that but if the team is having trouble, the least he could do is score from those rare chances when he's either one on one with the goalkeeper or gets a great chance at a header. At Liverpool he was exactly like I just described but now he's afraid to even shoot when he's in a great position. And I wasn't saying Sturridge is the answer but for now we'd be better off starting with him because he might have a future at Chelsea but in the last two years it has slowly become crystal clear that Torres does not and we're just playing him because he cost a shitload of money.
  18. Torres has now played like shit for four games straight and even got himself sent off in one of them. Sure, the second yellow card against United was ridiculous but he was lucky not to get a straight red in the first half and that's quite something for a player who was so invisible we probably wouldn't even have known was on the pitch if not for those few major fuck ups. And you saying it's not okay to blame a single player if the whole team underperforms is part of the problem for me. A player we all expect Torres to be should be able to bail us out by scoring a goal out of nowhere when the team is playing badly because that is exactly what the leading strikers of our rival teams do week in week out. Torres is definitely not that kind of a player and instead he hides in his shell if the team is having a difficult game. Don't know about others but to me that is unacceptable. Anyway, that's enough off topic because discussing Torres in this thread is pointless. We all know he's not leaving, even though he should.
  19. That's actually pretty accurate. At least that fits myself and most of the people I know.
