  1. Once we get Lukaku back and have him banging in goals left and right, people won't even remember we once had this guy what was his name again, Danny something?
  2. Fair enough, I respect your opinions even though I don't agree with them. Feels nice to have a proper argument with someone on this forum for once without it simply turning into personal insults being thrown at each other. Should probably stop though, because this has little to do with Marco Reus and the mods don't like thread derailing.
  3. Why are people still talking about Sturridge? He's gone, get over it. Here's another fun fact for you: Romelu Lukaku has only one league goal less than Torres and Sturridge combined. Why dwell on the past and moan about the sale of Sturridge when you can focus on what the future will be like with Lukaku as our front man?
  4. And where would a commentator get such info before anyone else? Probably just telling about the rumours that have been circling around for the past few days.
  5. Would love it if someone could change this semi-random nonsense of a name to my real life nickname, Jype.
  6. Aren't you a bit too young to be thinking about this stuff, @?
  7. 1. To be known as a good team you have to win matches and titles? That's ironic because Dortmund have won more trophies in the last three seasons than Chelsea. Just because Bayern of this season are an even better side and no doubt the best team in the world right now, that doesn't take anything away from Dortmund. Despite Bayern being a top3 team in the world for the past few years, Dortmund still managed to win the two league titles in a row as well as the DFB cup last season and this season they are likely to reach the Champions League final after first winning a group consisting of Real Madrid, Manchester City (need I remind you that's a team against who we stood no chance in the four meetings this season) and finally Ajax who are a decent team too. If that's not a sign of a quality team then I honestly don't know what is. Compare that to our team in the last two or three years and there is not a single objective football person on the planet who will suggest that Chelsea have been the better of the two. And I sure as hell don't rate Dortmund just because they won Real Madrid earlier this week, I have been watching quite a lot of their games in the past couple of years and I know what I'm talking about. They are winning more games than us and their play style is maybe the most entertaining in the world, not that the aesthetics of the game really matter but still. What's even more remarkable is when you look at how their team has been built. Players from their own academy and cheap players from other teams turned into superstars. That's what every team should be aiming at and with a capable board and a classy manager we could do that too. Players like De Bruyne, Chalobah etc. are very much capable of being world class but does the Chelsea management give a fuck? No, they are more busy thinking which manager they want to sack next and which player is the latest flavour of the month so they can go bidding £30m for him and ignore the great players we already have. 2. Why does that matter? My point was that the best German players generally stay in the Bundesliga, doesn't matter for which team they play. How many players in the Spanish national team first XI play outside Barca / Real? Of course most players prefer to stay in their home country if the money is still as good as elsewhere and the team they play for is good enough to challenge for European glory. If the choice is between an English top4 club or Bayern Munich, I'm pretty sure 90% of the German players will choose Bayern. Reus will probably go there too within a couple of years, his best mate Götze is already going. 3. Ironically, the player whose name you came up with is a player suffering from chronic homesickness and much like the Germans is a guy who surely prefers staying in his homeland. Even if he has gotten the better of his condition, I'm fairly sure he still won't leave Sevilla, let alone sign for a club outside Spain. And even if he did and the choice was between Schürrle and Navas, I would choose the former 100% of the time. Navas was supposed to be the next big thing a few years back but hasn't really improved. In 2010 he was one of the best wingers in the world imo, but whenever I have watched Sevilla this year or the last, he has been mostly shit. £20m for Schürrle is much but he's a great young player who's versatile enough to play most positions in the final third of the pitch, making him much more important to the squad than a player like Navas, a pure out-and-out winger who only plays on his own flank and whose tricks are pretty easily found out if playing against a proper defense.
  8. 1. We certainly are and it's not even up for debate. Their centre backs are better than ours, their CM's are better than ours, their wingers and playmakers are probably on the same level as ours and their striker is much better than Torres and Ba combined. Cech is better than Weidenfeller and I rate our full-backs higher than theirs but overall they are much better. Also, their managers is one of the best in the business right now. 3. Oh, you can name three players good enough for the national team who have left the Bundesliga in recent years. Looking at how many quality players they got over there, it's fair to say 90% of them stay in Germany. 4. Why shouldn't he be? A regular in their national team and there aren't many better players for his position at the moment in the Bundesliga. Sure, there are a few who are better but they wouldn't be realistic signings while Schürrle is a player we have scouted for years and it's his dream to play for Chelsea.
  9. Just seen the chances he got, should have scored at least one. Great movement to get those chances though, also heavily involved in the build-up for the first goal.
  10. Why the hell would Reus leave Dortmund for a team that's worse than Dortmund? Also, the best German players rarely leave the Bundesliga so buying Schürrle is as close as we can get to having one of the star players of this generation of German football.
  11. Who would've though Roman seems to fancy the latest flavour of the month after this week's game. All along I've been saying that the idea of losing De Bruyne wouldn't suck so much if we got something good out of the deal too. 15m€ cash sure as hell isn't good enough, but maybe getting Lewandowski in a KdB + cash exchange would somewhat make up for it.
  12. An amazing player, would love to have him. Unfortunately I can't see Dortmund sellng him for any price.
  13. I agree. And why do I get the feeling that if Kevin played for Werder Bremen on a permanent basis, we would be competing with Dortmund for his signature and the price would be 25m, not the 15m like we're now supposedly about to sell him for.
  14. Sure. I was implying that Emenalo and any other clown at the board should be sacked on the spot if they even consider selling a gem like De Bruyne, which they clearly have thought about because otherwise we wouldn't have these rumours.
  15. Hasn't lived up to expectations at Barca because their football is completely different to Udinese's who play a quicker, more direct game. Also, at Barca it's impossible for any other attacking player than Messi to really shine because their play is so much focused on him and the midfielders. For a reasonable price Sanchez could be worth a shot. If he was available for something around 15-20m and started playing as well as he did at Udinese, it would be an absolute steal. On FM11 I always used to buy Hazard, Neymar and Sanchez for the 4-2-3-1. Hazard - Mata - Sanchez would be pretty much the same.
  16. Too many reports about Dortmund's interest for it to be bullshit, not saying it will happen but wouldn't surprise me if it did. Buy one of the most potential midfielders of this generation and after his breakthrough season sell him with nearly break-even price to this year's Champions League finalist to replace a man who they just sold for 37m and mind you that price would have been even higher if it weren't for the release clause. That logic works only for Michael Emenalo. Sack the cunt already.
  17. Generally the unemployment rates aren't that much worse than what we usually have here in Finland but I was mostly talking about my own line of work, construction, and at least here in my hometown Jyväskylä this particular business isn't doing too well at the moment so a summer job is pretty hard to come by and I haven't even bothered looking for a job elsewhere because I simply can't afford to pay for two apartments at the same time and having a car is expensive as fuck here. Studying Civil Engineering so it would be nice to get some working experience from the construction business before next year's internship period but I don't mind having a proper summer holiday for once either.
  18. First year of university done, now a holiday of over four months. Would be nice to get a job for at least a couple of months for the summer but unemployment percentages are ridiculously high here right now and students are probably the first ones to be left without a job so I'm not holding my breath. I guess I'll just be posting at TC, playing FM and drinking for the whole summer then.
  19. He was bought as a squad player, I agree, but due to lack of depth and quality he has been more than just a squad player, right? Despite the AFCON Moses has still played around 40 games and he has started most of them so in my opinion his performances should be judged same as any other first team regulars and for that role he ain't good enough. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying we should sell him or anything but more quality is needed so Moses can be the squad player he was always supposed to be. Getting Schürrle would very much be a step in the right direction. As for your second point, you are mistaken. If a player is good enough, then he is good enough, no matter the price. That simple. De Bruyne only cost £7m but he's definitely good enough and most people are hoping he gets the place in the squad instead of investing big on another midfielder.
  20. Sure, he's had a bunch of decent games but looking at the big picture, like you just stated, Moses has definitely had way more bad games than good ones. Like I said, he's a young player and there's still a lot of room for improvement but at the moment I don't see him being good enough to be a regular starter at Chelsea. Decent squad player and has done well to fill Kalou's place in the team but not more.
  21. I'm one of those who don't rate him at the moment, one great game isn't enough for me to change my mind. If anything, it just goes to sho how inconsistent he is. One day it's like he's as good as they come but then he just goes missing in most games. Or even worse, he's not missing but always fucking up the attacks. Consistency improves with experience so there's yet hope as Moses is still very young.
  22. Hazard in a central role should be interesting.
  23. Ilkay Gündogan £17,5m De Bruyne recalled £0m Lukaku recalled £0m Done, only needed £17,5m.
  24. His contract only runs till next summer so it could well end up being a case of taking 30-40 million euros now or watching him go for free next year so if Lewandowski was cuntish enough to only accept a move to Bayern, I'm afraid it would leave Dortmund without options. If / when he doesn't join Chelsea, I seriously hope he will stay at Dortmund. They've got a great team to watch and with Götze already gone it would be bad if Lewandowski left too, especially if he were to join one of our PL rivals. Found something brilliant:
