  1. Isn't that kind of what I was implying, "no chance of winning the ball" as in the ball was not there to be won because the whistle had already gone or the ball had gone out of Aguero's reach?
  2. Sure, it makes every bit of sense for Dortmund to want him as he has been one of the most impressing midfielders in the Bundesliga this season but it makes no fucking sense for Chelsea to sell him on the cheap. We paid £8m for Kevin little over a year ago and just look how much he has improved since then, why should he be sold for only little over £5m more than what we originally paid for him when a team that's better than us wants to buy him? I could understand selling him if it would mean making a good profit on a player who has never even put on a blue shirt or if we were to get a great player in exchange (say Lewandowski) but good profit sure as hell ain't £5m as we must have spent that much on De Bruyne's wages, agent fees and signing bonuses alone. I can fully understand if De Bruyne himself wants to move to Dortmund, they are a great club with great fans and surely he would have a more stable position over there than at Chelsea but what I can't understand is why Chelsea are reluctant to even give him a chance. Why shouldn't we get that same £15m for a little over 20-year-old Belgium national team regular even if he were to be deemed not good enough for us? Surely his performances this season would still attract interest from the Bundesliga in a year or two.
  3. Why on earth is the club considering selling De Bruyne, or even loaning him out? When a team like Dortmund, a much better team than us at the moment if I might add, really wants this player then he most definitely is good enough to play for us as well. Of course we all knew this already but Dortmund contacting Chelsea about De Bruyne's availability should be the final confirmation if someone at the board is too thick not to have seen it before. Only way I'm going to be even relatively happy to see a gem like De Bruyne leave to Dortmund is if we get Lewandowski in exchange. I would still not accept it because in my opinion we shouldn't let go of De Bruyne when he is the type of player our squad could really use right now and Lewandowski should be available at around £25m anyway so it would still be beyond moronic to give De Bruyne to them just to lower the price a little but at least in that case we would get something good out of the deal as well. If we simply sell him for £15m and not even get Lewy in exchange, I have no words.
  4. Nice rant, best post ever. I didn't even join the damn thing until last year when I started at the university. Getting in touch with some of the friends back in my hometown is easier there and staying up to speed on what happens at the uni is much less problematic when all the information is shared on the private group created for our class. I rarely (as in never) post any status updates myself and usually just ignore what everyone else are saying because honestly I don't give a flying fuck what someone had for breakfast or if they've been out drinking. Do the ones posting that shit really think people care? Fucking narcissists, the lot of them.
  5. On one hand I am glad Aguero won't be banned as we need all the help we can get from other teams against Spurs and it's better if City face them with their best striker available, but on the other hand I am sad. Every day I lose a little bit more faith in the FA's clueless actions. Just look at the decisions they've made only in the last couple of months: Hazard, banned for kicking a ball from under a cunt who does something he's not supposed to. McManaman, not banned for one of the worst tackles I've seen in years. Aguero, not banned for a clearly intentional attempt to hurt the opponent with absolutely no chance of winning the ball. And that's only a fraction of the baffling decisions they make almost every week. They don't give a fuck what the situation is like, they only look at who the player in question is and if his face doesn't please them, they'll get the ban. If a player, say Joey Barton or Mario Balotelli, did what Aguero did yesterday, we wouldn't hear the end of it and they would probably have been banned for at least 6 games. Like good old Ashley Cole so elegantly put it, the FA are a fucking bunch of twats.
  6. I agree with you on the price, 20 million seems a bit much at first. However, Schürrle is a really good player who's very different to what we already have and he would provide depth both on the wings and up front. I consider those positions along with the midfield to be the areas where our team is clearly lacking both in depth and quality at the moment so getting a player like Schürrle would be killing two birds with one stone. Two proper strikers (out of Ba / Lukaku / Torres / someone new) as well as Schürrle would be considered great depth and for the positions behind the front man there would be Hazard, Mata, Oscar, De Bruyne, Schürrle and Moses, once again more than enough depth and quality to compete on multiple fronts. With that bunch of players, things would work out even if the new manager decided to mix things up little and deploy a 4-3-3 or something, as KdB and Oscar could easily play CM in a three man midfield. That list may seem like too much players when you first think about it but effectively it's only two more to what we currently have and we have been in desperate need of more players this season, it's ridiculous how players like Benayoun get played week-in, week-out whenever Mata or Hazard need rest. With a couple more quality options up there, everyone would be better off. This season the lack of options on the bench turned out to be one of the main reasons for our downfall, simply put it there is no one capable of turning things around if Mata and the boys are having and off day. All in all, considering his quality and versatility, Schürrle wouldn't really be that expensive, now would he? Hell, we paid £18m combined for Moses and Marin and what did we get in return? Absolutely fuck all.
  7. Nah, with the way Foy was refereeing the game Torres would have been yellow carded.
  8. Being reported that Schürrle's representatives were at Wembley today and will begin contract negotiations in the coming days. Looks like this deal is really happening, just hope De Bruyne won't be involved in any way.
  9. The fuck? Why would he retire now when Basel are close to being crowned champions of Switzerland and for the first time in who knows how long really have a chance of winning big in Europe too? Good news for us though, so I'm not complaining.
  10. This season we could just as well end up being fifth, which really is no different from last seasons sixth place, and win no trophies at all despite having half a dozen good chances to win some so I fail to see your point. Last year the club won the biggest trophy out there as well as the FA Cup with the weakest squad we've had in years so I can't see how it can be viewed as a failure as we also gained the CL qualification through Munich. Thanks to last season's triumph, Chelsea ended up posting profit for the first time in the past ten years so by all accounts it should be considered as the best season in the club's history. On the pitch there have definitely been better but in a decade no one's going to remember how lucky we were to win the trophies. One could however argue that Carlo's final season was the worst in the Abramovich era. Back then we were knocked out of cups quite early and although we got the second place in the end, the future wasn't looking anywhere near as bright as it is now with all the young talent at the club. Also, Torres arrived that season and we're still living the nightmare to this day... As for @'s question, I blame everyone collectively. The board for not addressing our problems in midfield this season and even going as far as sell a bunch of those we already had, the players for not giving the fuck and not performing as well as we know they can, Di Matteo for getting much of the things wrong time and again, Benitez for being a cunt and finally, I blame Roman for letting all of these things happen. Us fans are partly at fault too and we have to acknowledge this as well, blaming everyone else for the problems is something Liverpool fans do, let's leave it to them. The future is bright at Chelsea FC, the pieces just have to fit together and with some minor changes this team could be as good as anyone. In the summer get the right manager, recall some of the players out on loan and sell the deadwood and finally get a couple of new additions to complete the team. Then just back the manager and the players for longer than a couple of months and I'm sure it will end well.
  11. Who gives a fuck whether he provoked him or not? That happens in every single fucking football match but that's absolutely no excuse to go intentionally hurting people. Aguero's two footed tackle was a disgrace, should be banned for at least as many games as City have left this season so he'd miss the cup final. If you have a verbal argument with your co-worker or something, is it then acceptable for them to kick the living shit out of you?
  12. Man of the match has got to be Chris Foy, he just single-handedly won Manchester City the FA Cup. Proud of our players today, they showed balls in the second half but Foy robbed us. First half was shocking though, Benitez got his tactics completely wrong and mixed things up a bit too late.
  13. Yeboii, on 14 Apr 2013 - 6:12 undefined, said: While he does not do a Nazi salute or something on the field (like Van Persie did) I cant see why his political views matter at all... Being a democrat does not make you a better manager or something I'll just leave that here...
  14. He's a fascist, not exactly the most popular political view out there and it's more than understandable if some people can't stand him. All that aside, I still think he's an exciting personality and brings that much needed spark to the league.
  15. Ramires to score, you heard it here first.
  16. No matter his political views, got to love Di Canio for his passion. Hope Sunderland stay up now.
  17. No Azpi at RB? Haven't seen Montoya do anything special in his career so far... Is Rodrigo really that good in real life? I only know he's a future Ballon d'Or winner on my FM save when re-trained as a winger but haven't seen much of him at Benfica.
  18. He didn't try kicking you in the head, kung fu style?
  19. I just did some math. Since May 2012 (around 50 weeks) Oscar has played 91 games for club and country without having the slightest of breaks from football, having moved to Chelsea after spending the whole summer playing for Internacional and Brazil. That's almost two games a week for a year, how many players can play that much without it affecting the quality of their game? He's fucking exhausted, not a shit player.
  20. I take it you haven't watched many of our games lately? Or you know absolutely fuck all about football, take your pick.
  21. Bitch please, we're going start making fun of you both.
  22. I just stalked WHS's profile, he looks young enough to be Liquidator's younger brother. Could have fooled me, if not for the missus and the kid.
  23. Don't really mind who we draw, all three should be relatively easy to beat over two legs if our players take the game seriously. Maybe Basel in the semis and then Benfica / Fenerbahce in the final if we qualify. Bad memories of the bitter Benfica fans who invaded the forum last year when we played them in the CL and also of the Fenerbahce fans who flooded this place when we sold Meireles to them.
