  1. Enough with the fucking teasing, should just admit he's coming or deny it.
  2. Sure thing, only read about 200 pages of the first one but so far so good. In the meantime, judging by this thread I would say @, @Rmpr and @Dion are already experts on this book series so maybe they could tell you more.
  3. I rate him as high as I do Cahill. Could do the job as a squad player but no more than that and seeing as we already have Gary, we should be aiming higher if we're looking to add another CB to our ranks. Don't think a new centre-back should be bought this summer though, our current ones are good enough for another year and there are other priorities first.
  4. Benteke with a hat trick against Sunderland, only 70 minutes gone.
  5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=FFaStk7_1rQ Discuss.
  6. Easy to save face by saying you were just joking when someone gets the better of you.
  7. What the fuck? After being one of the best midfielders in the Bundesliga this year, I honestly think he should have a say in his future. I'm pretty sure he would be happy either returning to Chelsea or joining Dortmund on a permanent deal, but being used as a bargaining chip for the transfer of Andre Schürrle by being loaned out to Leverkusen would just be pointless from De Bruyne's point of view and I don't blame him if he doesn't wish to waste a year of his career by going there. Sure, Leverkusen are a quality team who are likely to participate in the Champions League next season but a year's loan there would just be a pointless stop gap and it would mean nothing for his career because he's already proven at that level. Imagine yourself in De Bruyne's place. If you were already good enough to play regularly for the current Champions of Europe or alternatively be sold to the reigning Champion of Germany and this year's Champions League finalist to replace their best playmaker, would you want to join a team like Bayer Leverkusen just because you were told? If your answer is no, then it's no point criticizing De Bruyne and if it's yes, then with all due respect sir you are an idiot.
  8. A few weeks ago I embraced my inner teenager and read the Hunger Games trilogy, it was nice. As of yesterday: I believe this series is going to take a while, the five books combine to around 6000 pages or something on the ipad e-book format. Would have started earlier but the last few weeks at the university were too hectic and I hardly had time to do anything other than study. Now with the four month break I have nothing but time on my hands so I started reading the first one yesterday. @Rmpr, what on earth is that? Never knew such a novel even existed, as a fan of the LotR trilogy I'm inclined to read that one too if it's any good. Once you're done with it, report back!
  9. Luiz has definitely been one of our best players in recent months. When Benitez arrived, people were saying he would do something Ancelotti, AVB nor Di Matteo could and that is making David Luiz a better and more consistent player. If there's one thing I give Benitez a lot of credit for, it has got to be this.
  10. The city is okay but the country not so much. The climate over here in the Northern Europe is horrible, wages are shit if one can even find a job, taxes are high as fuck and despite all that everything is still way more expensive here than for example in the Central European countries. Also, the Finnish people in general are rude and unfriendly to each other. Most of the time I just feel like I don't belong here and that I would be much happier if I could start fresh somewhere else. Not many people here I would be missing if I lived elsewhere so at the moment there's nothing holding me back except my studies, which I plan to complete before moving away from here. Some would probably say it's immoral to take advantage of the free education over here and then move away to enjoy the good life as soon as possible but I really couldn't care less about what other people think. I'm living this life only for myself and for the people closest to me, not for the good of the whole fucking nation.
  11. Well, the town I live in is pretty big by our standards, seventh largest in Finland or something and the town I grew up in was similar so I don't really know anything else. For many reasons I'm not happy living here so as soon as I graduate, in 3 years if everything goes according to plans, I'll be instantly looking to move somewhere else to work. In fact, I don't really feel like waiting even that long so therefore either an exchange period or an internship abroad within the next two years has been on the cards for a while now and I'll do everything I can to get it done. Better not find a girlfriend or anything in the next couple of years that would mess up my plans of getting the hell out of here.
  12. @Rmpr, some nice buildings there! Here's the area where I study, the building is the one next to the rather big chimney on the left. The way too expensive apartment of mine can also be seen in this picture so it's pretty close to the campus, less than 200 meters. It's one of the finest residential areas in town so there's hardly any other students living here, most live somewhere on the other side of the lake, but I chose to pay a little extra to get closer to the campus and also to the city center which is there on the left but just cropped out of the picture. A small town, only around 150 000 people but a quarter of them students so the atmosphere is nice.
  13. Not necessarily the ones I would choose but I'm guessing Mourinho would be looking to bring Khedira and Coentrao with him.
  14. They are just slowly accepting the fact this beast isn't going to be there anymore come next season.
  15. Have you even read the posts at this thread? There aren't many who are saying he would be a realistic signing, most are just admiring a great player and telling how well a player like him would suit our team. And would the idea of Gündogan wanting to leave sometime soon really be that absurd? We all know how well things are at Dortmund now with the team, the fans and pretty much everything but still their best players seem to be leaving all the time. Sahin, Kagawa, Götze all gone already and now Lewandowski looking likely to leave as well. Seeing all their team mates and best friends leave on a regular basis can make a player think whether it would be good for them to look elsewhere as well and should Gündogan ever doubt his future at Dortmund, we should be the first club to show interest in him. With a certain spot in the starting lineup and his compatriot Andre Schürrle looking likely to arrive at the club shortly, Chelsea could well be a more appealing option to him than say one of the Manchester clubs. I don't believe for a second that Dortmund are having a huge fire sale and letting go of all their best players within one transfer window, but what's wrong with a little speculation?
  16. Bale won both awards. I have always known that most footballers aren't exactly the most sharpest pencils in the drawer but who on earth would vote for the same player in both categories? Having now won the adult version of the POTY twice, I'm sure Bale is most ecatatic to have won the 'young' player of the year award as well. What a fucking joke, in my opinion players shouldn't even be able to get nominated as a young player when they're already mentioned up there with the big boys. Also, 23 isn't exactly that young anymore either. How many seasons has Bale been playing in the PL, is it six or seven already? Should make the YPOTY strictly for under 21's only, I'm sure someone like Lukaku or Benteke would have appreciated the award much more than a seasoned veteran like Bale.
  17. PFA awards today, pretty sure the choice will be between the rapist, the diver and the cannibal. Hoping Lukaku wins the young player award though.
  18. I hope United still win this, though I wouldn't mind a draw either because it would mean United couldn't break our record of 95 points even if they won the rest of their games. Would probably make our job next week easier because United would have even less reason to show up for the occasion.
  19. Valencia's always been a one trick pony, all he can do is run down the flank and cross with his right foot or pass backwards if crossing isn't an option. I guess the other teams have simply found him out.
  20. Former midfielder scores with a nice penalty!
  21. Lampard's first assist of the season?
  22. Helps Chelsea win the Champions League, then moves on to get QPR relegated and laughs when walking down the tunnel after the final whistle that sealed their fate. Massive respect, a true Chelsea Blue.
