  1. Exactly. Ivanovic should play this one and then rest get some rest while the others are playing Atletico and he's suspended. Letting Cole have some time on the pitch before the massive game next Tuesday wouldn't be a bad idea however, so maybe Cesar could sit this one out. Then again, Azpilicueta too could benefit from playing a game at RB after such a long period at LB... Maybe rest one of the CB's and play Ivanovic there with Cole and Azpi as the full-backs? Cahill and Terry have been playing some insane minutes since new year so either of them could use some rest.
  2. Seriously? The shirt sale argument has been proven wrong hundreds of times in the three and a half years Torres has been at the club (holy fuck, has this nightmare really been going on for that long?). Torres costs the club around 18 million pounds per year, half of that in wages and half in amortisation of his transfer fee. From every shirt sold with his name the club will get a couple of pounds extra at most, because most of the people buying his shirts would buy one with someone else's name anyway if the ladyboy wasn't around. He'd have to sell a lot of shirts to recover even half of what he costs to the club and when we consider that his value on the pitch is fuck all, it'd would be horrible business to keep him beyond this season. Hell, it's better to ship him out for free and even pay some of his wages for the last two years of his contract, at least that way we wouldn't have to endure watching him anymore and someone better would be able to get his place in the squad, which almost certainly would equal more goals and therefore more points in the Premier League.
  3. Romeu? He'll be facing Real Madrid with Valencia in a few weeks.
  4. Had €20 on Everton, Chelsea and Atletico to win their league games this weekend. Got a return of €88 and bet half of that again on the likes of Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal to win their games next week. They're all expected to win their matches so if they do, I'll at least get some money but if they don't I will be more than delighted because it's all for the good of Chelsea. A perfect example of a win-win scenario.
  5. Feel bad for the guy, if it's broken he will miss not only the deciding match in the La Liga and the Champions League but also his first ever World Cup, not to mention also probably being denied the chance to get a big transfer this summer.
  6. Meeting Atletico without Courtois and Costa would give us a huge advantage. Everything's already been said about the Courtois situation and I think that the contract clause should be respected but hope Costa will be fit, never nice to see players missing such big games with an injury.
  7. Doesn't have to be pretty, three points is all that matters when talking about a match against a team parking the bus after having a man sent off. Massive contribution from Demba Ba this week, nothing but respect for the guy. Now, let's win the next seven games as well and end the season on the biggest high in the history of the club. Have faith, boys and girls.
  8. Henderson suspended from the game against us, good news.
  9. OH FUCK OFF LIVERPOOL, YOU CUNTS.
  10. There's only five games left and the win against PSG this week has given the team a massive morale boost so I really don't see why not. Beating Liverpool at Anfield will be tough but the others we should win comfortably, and as for the Liverpool match I think everyone should have realized by now that under Jose we are very good against the big boys.
  11. What happened, last time I remember you calling him a terrible player who has no place in the Chelsea squad?
  12. You are aware that Seamus Coleman is a right-back?
  13. Mate, Cole's been shit for three years now and there were a lot of us who objected him being given that contract extension with ridiculous wages last year. Still good on his day but nowhere near consistent enough to be a regular for a top club anymore. Some people have just been either too blind or too ignorant to see his decline but since Mourinho dropped him everyone's been hopping onto the bandwagon.
  14. Why? If it’s clearly written in the fucking contract agreed by all parties last summer, no one should have any complaints. If the possibility of meeting Chelsea without Courtois being eligible to play wasn’t okay to them, then maybe they shouldn’t have loaned him at all and instead taken their chances with some second rate keeper for the other 50 matches of the season as well? If the alternative was between having him for all games except ones against Chelsea or not having him at all, I know which one is more beneficial to Atletico so they should just be grateful for the fact they have enjoyed three good years with an amazing goalkeeper for peanuts. And those saying Courtois could somehow be affected by potentially being denied the opportunity to play in either a Champions League semifinal or even the final need to remember that the lad himself has also previously agreed to the terms of the loan contract. If the game he would end up missing happened to be a CL final or the semis that's tough shit, but maybe he should have thought about that sooner? Anyway I’m pretty sure the guy understands the situation perfectly well. This isn't personal, just business. But, let’s wait for the draw first before even continuing this discussion further because the chances of us meeting Atletico are not even that high.
  15. If we assume the favorites qualify today, I'd love to be drawn against Bayern. Not the easiest opponent but not that much harder than the others either and Mourinho knows Guardiola inside-out. Would also give me a chance to attend the Munich leg of the tie so I'm being just a little selfish here. That being said, in a minute I'm off to the Allianz for today's game between Bayern and United. Don't really care who qualifies, just hoping for a good match and some nice Bavarian weissbier.
  16. Cavani and Lavezzi must be pissed, second time they come to the Bridge with a 3-1 lead and leave with fuck all. A tip for Cavani: if you can't beat them, join them.
  17. Picked up a yellow card in the first leg and is now suspended. In the PL he has now served his three match ban, I think.
  18. Two more hours to go till the biggest match of the season, can’t fucking wait. FT 4-1, the deciding goal will be scored from the spot by Hazard at 90+4 minutes.
  19. Maybe Jose, like any of the four managers before him, wanted to give Torres a chance to prove he's still got what it takes? Torres, like usual, has then done fuck all to convince anyone and it's been clear for a long time now that Mourinho is frustrated with him and would probably try someone else if only we had another option. Had Lukaku stayed he would eventually have gotten his chance and by now would most likely be permanently ahead of Torres in the pecking order but he showed his immaturity by doing something no one has ever succeeded in doing before, going head to head against Jose and wanting reassurances about the amount of playing time he would be getting under him. Thing is, Mourinho doesn't do reassurances. He wants all players to be fully committed to him and prove their worth in training and the ones that deserve it will get their chance but clearly Lukaku wasn't willing to fight for his place. Wanting some stability at this point is of course very much understandable because Lukaku has already wasted one season stuck on the reserves at Chelsea and after all it is the World Cup year, but because he's still being heavily rumoured to be on his way out and Mourinho hasn't exactly been talking very highly of him I got a feeling he might have said or done something incredibly stupid to hurt his relationship with Jose in doing that. Over the last few years we have all seen Lukaku say some pretty dumb things in the media so I wouldn't put it past him to have said something rash to his manager as well. Another thing to consider is maybe Jose's pissed at Lukaku for wanting to go out on loan so hastily. If Mourinho thinks we'd be in a better position in the title race had Lukaku stayed and gotten his much deserved chance as soon as it became clear Torres is still shit, he might hold that against him because his request to go out on loan came so late in the window leaving no time to even consider getting anyone else of his quality in. If Jose had already planned for a season with Lukaku but a couple of days before the deadline the kid throws a tantrum and for selfish reasons demands to go out on loan to secure guaranteed playing time, how can he ever really 100% trust the lad again? In this business, if the trust is gone there's no coming back.
  20. Are you fucking kidding me, for six gameweeks I had Mata in my team and in that time he neither scored or assisted a single goal but when I finally got rid of him last week he's gotten three goals and an assist in the next game and a half.
  21. "Nice" wouldn't exactly be the first word I'd use to describe United's shirt from last year.
  22. Fuck no. In addition to Nike making hideous kits they they already have two major English clubs in their ranks whereas Adidas are fully committed to Chelsea, which means all kinds of unique marketing campaigns, events etc. to raise the profile of the club.
  23. Great news. After all the drama with tax evasions, the Neymar saga etc. those cunts finally get what they deserve. If the ban holds, they will be seriously fucked up with the goalkeepers and central defenders. Also, one less club to compete with for signings this summer. However, IMO them not being able to sell their current squad is a bit harsh on the players who might want to leave now. It would be funny as hell to see them suffer with an already thin squad without being able to improve and then on top of that have some of their current players submitting transfer requests.
