  1. It means Torres will get a contract extension.
  2. To our Turkish visitors, if you honestly believe your team has a 70% chance of qualifying there's money to be made on the betting market. At the moment I see Galatasaray being given odds of 5/1 compared to Chelsea's mere 1/6. What this means is that basically the betting industry is estimating the teams' chances to be something like Chelsea 85% and Galatasaray 15%. Hell, even if you think your team only has a 30% chance of going through those odds still provide good value for you. Bet the bookies must be loving this situation, they're getting an insane amount of money from overly optimistic Turks.
  3. Turns out hell isn't so bad after all.
  4. Duh, maybe there is a clear favorite in each tie because there is always a team who won their group and a team that finished only second and it makes sense that the teams that were better in the group stages are expected to be better now as well. And don't forget it's in the rules that the group stage winners get to play the R16 second leg at home.
  5. Sure did. http://www.fcbarcelona.com/club/detail/article/fc-barcelona-official-statement-concerning-neymar-signing Barcelona really are the most disgusting club on the planet. Always going on and on about the hypocritical "més que un club" bullshit and taking the moral high ground due to the high amount of La Masia graduates they have in their team but reality is that their club is filled with vile, corrupted cunts from top to bottom.
  6. "We've done nothing wrong but here's €13.6m anyway" The Barcelona way.
  7. For the first time since GW5 I have lost the top spot in the TC league. I'm planning on taking it back soon though.
  8. Yep, expecting a very open group and at the moment I can't see anyone being a clear favorite. Maybe Greece and Romania have the best teams but they're not as tough to beat as some of the other similarly seeded team would have been. The optimism in the media is pretty much the same here. Our team is not very good at the moment but ever since our current manager Mixu Paatelainen took over in 2011 his main objective has been to qualify for the Euro2016 and the draw was definitely the best we could have hoped for so it's understandable to be optimistic. Won't be easy but we sure as hell have a better chance of qualifying now than we would have had if we'd drawn teams like Germany, Belgium and Serbia from pots 1-3. If we assumed Greece and Romania to be nailed on for the top3 I suppose it's between my country and yours to settle the remaining place in the tournament / play-offs. Good luck.
  9. FUCKING YES! Got drawn in the same group with Greece, Hungary, Romania, Northern Ireland and Faroe Islands. We've never qualified for a major international tournament (WC / EC) and it will still be a tough task for Finland to qualify but this is the easiest group we've ever had and coupled with the fact that this time even the third placed teams have a good chance of qualifying I'm feeling very confident. It's nice to get a good draw for once, for the WC Qualifiers we had Spain and France and for Euro2012 we had Netherlands and Sweden...
  10. Bullshit, Rooney doesn't have that much hair.
  11. Continue playing like that and he won't have a problem getting Bayern to pay what he asks. Nothing to see here.
  12. €25 on Bayern to win tonight. Never has there been an easier way to make money.
  13. Messi against Chelsea: 0 goals in 8 games Messi against City: 1 goal in 1 game
  14. Eto'o Hazard - Oscar - Schürrle Matic - Ramires Azpi - Luiz - Cahill - Ivanovic Cech West Brom have won just one of their last 16 league games. No excuses, this is a must win. Hope Hazard keeps up his amazing form and gets a couple of goals.
  15. Jose when asked if it's now a three-horse race for the title: "Two horses and a little horse." Is he having a dig at Arsenal there? Or does he still not admit we're in the title race and says we're the 'little horse'?
  16. Best thing is, we get to play these bastards again in two weeks. Will be so sweet to beat them again on their backyard.
  17. Double over City this season, weren't they supposed to be the best team in the league or something? Masterclass from Mourinho coupled with Pellegrini losing the plot completely and it was a surprisingly easy game. Could have been a much bigger scoreline had luck been on our side, I lost count on how many times we hit the woodwork.
  18. WHAT AN AMAZING FEELING, GET IN!!! Over three years since City last failed to score at home, have some of that you arrogant little cunts. Time to go visit Bluemoon and enjoy the meltdown, me thinks. They were so sure they would beat us by 5 goals... Oh, and where are the doubters again? Proven wrong by Jose once again, will these people ever learn?
  19. Fucking amazing to see Yaya Toure being bullied for once, he's been doing that shit for a long time against us but now when he's on the receiving end he's moaning to the referee all the time.
  20. Čech; Ivanović, Terry, Cahill, Azpilicueta; Matić, David Luiz; Willian, Ramires, Hazard; Eto'o Excellent, a three man midfield just like I was hoping for. Matic, Luiz, Ramires should easily be able to overpower Yaya and Demichelis.
  21. Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Nastasic, Kolarov, Navas, Demichelis, Toure, Silva, Dzeko, Negredo No Fernandinho for them, Demichelis in midfield.
  22. £5 donation to TC if Mikel scores, you can count me in too. Come on guys, get on the bandwagon.
  23. Face value £61 per ticket, nothing out of the ordinary these days. As for the £316 per ticket I'm pretty sure you could find some companies who charge similar prices for tickets to any sold out Chelsea game and some people, mostly tourists, will happily pay those prices not knowing they're getting ripped off.
  24. Jose knows how to play against the big teams, I'm not worried.
  25. Fair enough. Ideally Cech would stay for another year as backup to make sure Courtois is up to it while also serving as a mentor the youngster but then again, having a keeper as good as Cech as a backup would put even more pressure on Courtois because with every mistake there would be certain people (especially in the media) eating him alive by calling for his head and questioning why Cech isn't playing. If there's one manager who could make it work having two keepers that good it's Jose, so let's wait and see what happens. PS: 15 years is longer-term.
