Just got myself a ticket for the second leg of the Bayern Munich - Man United tie so I suppose I should be rooting for United today, just so there's still something to play for next week.

Only just now realized how much easier our remaining fixtures are compared to those of our rivals. Liverpool only one point behind with a better goal difference and City can get three ahead should they win their games in hand so it's still impossible to predict the outcome. Feeling optimistic though.

Let's all laugh at Arsenal.

First day in Munich, just settling in at my new apartment. Tomorrow I will go explore the town with a friend of mine who’s been here a few weeks already as an exchange student and on Wednesday I will be starting as an intern at this international engineering firm. Exciting times.

Hungary - Finland 1-2. Only a friendly match but still a very nice comeback victory against one of our main competitors in the upcoming Euro qualifiers.

Only saw the first 30 minutes, feared for the worst but looks like the boys really stepped up in the second half. So glad for Schürrle, hasn't had many chances lately but the hat trick ought to change that in the coming matches. Willian's been poor lately so his place in the starting eleven is definitely there for the taking.

It means Torres will get a contract extension.

Luckily no. Got a feeling @Stingray might be able to tell you more.

To our Turkish visitors, if you honestly believe your team has a 70% chance of qualifying there's money to be made on the betting market. At the moment I see Galatasaray being given odds of 5/1 compared to Chelsea's mere 1/6. What this means is that basically the betting industry is estimating the teams' chances to be something like Chelsea 85% and Galatasaray 15%. Hell, even if you think your team only has a 30% chance of going through those odds still provide good value for you. Bet the bookies must be loving this situation, they're getting an insane amount of money from overly optimistic Turks.

Turns out hell isn't so bad after all.

Duh, maybe there is a clear favorite in each tie because there is always a team who won their group and a team that finished only second and it makes sense that the teams that were better in the group stages are expected to be better now as well. And don't forget it's in the rules that the group stage winners get to play the R16 second leg at home.

Sure did. http://www.fcbarcelona.com/club/detail/article/fc-barcelona-official-statement-concerning-neymar-signing Barcelona really are the most disgusting club on the planet. Always going on and on about the hypocritical "més que un club" bullshit and taking the moral high ground due to the high amount of La Masia graduates they have in their team but reality is that their club is filled with vile, corrupted cunts from top to bottom.

"We've done nothing wrong but here's €13.6m anyway" The Barcelona way.

For the first time since GW5 I have lost the top spot in the TC league. I'm planning on taking it back soon though.

Yep, expecting a very open group and at the moment I can't see anyone being a clear favorite. Maybe Greece and Romania have the best teams but they're not as tough to beat as some of the other similarly seeded team would have been. The optimism in the media is pretty much the same here. Our team is not very good at the moment but ever since our current manager Mixu Paatelainen took over in 2011 his main objective has been to qualify for the Euro2016 and the draw was definitely the best we could have hoped for so it's understandable to be optimistic. Won't be easy but we sure as hell have a better chance of qualifying now than we would have had if we'd drawn teams like Germany, Belgium and Serbia from pots 1-3. If we assumed Greece and Romania to be nailed on for the top3 I suppose it's between my country and yours to settle the remaining place in the tournament / play-offs. Good luck.

FUCKING YES! Got drawn in the same group with Greece, Hungary, Romania, Northern Ireland and Faroe Islands. We've never qualified for a major international tournament (WC / EC) and it will still be a tough task for Finland to qualify but this is the easiest group we've ever had and coupled with the fact that this time even the third placed teams have a good chance of qualifying I'm feeling very confident. It's nice to get a good draw for once, for the WC Qualifiers we had Spain and France and for Euro2012 we had Netherlands and Sweden...

It's the latest 13" Retina MBP with memory upgraded from 4 to 8GB and the flash drive from 128 to 256GB. Cost me €1550 but then again, I happen live in one of the most expensive countries in the world...

Bullshit, Rooney doesn't have that much hair.
