  1. Yeah, obviously Varane is miles ahead both of them at the moment but why spend £12m on a world class prospect like Zouma if only six months later you're going to buy a similar player who's a couple of years ahead of him in development? Luiz will most likely be sold and Terry can't go on forever and even next season might not be as good as he's been this year so there will definitely be enough games available for whoever will be the third CB along with JT and Cahill but can't see anyone else getting a big enough role, especially with Ivanovic still around, so players like Kalas, Zouma, Christensen etc. would immediately be cast aside if we got another CB now. Wouldn't complain if we got a player like Varane who I rate very highly but even so I would be worried about the youngsters we already have for the centre-back department.
  2. That tweet lost all it's credibility at "full-back". Anyway, Zidane's leaving after this season and Varane hasn't exactly been favoured by Ancelotti who's only given him 10 starts in La Liga so it's not impossible for him to go this summer and we know Mourinho likes him. Don't know where that would leave the likes of Zouma, Kalas etc. though.
  3. Everyone who knows German football even a little started talking up Reus already when he was at Borussia Mönchengladbach. Scored 18 league goals in his last season there before moving to Dortmund for €17m. He's also been a regular for the German national team for a few years now. Last season when both Götze and Reus were at Dortmund, Reus scored more goals than him and has also been a lot better this season too. Sure he's a couple of years older so Götze will most likely be amazing too at 24 if he doesn't get stuck to the bench at Bayern but if we'd be after either of these guys and I'd get my pick I would choose Reus every day of the week because he'd be much better suited to the kind of football I'm hoping Jose will be aiming for. Not gonna happen though.
  4. Fuck it, let's smash these cunts 7-0. Lukaku will sink City and Liverpool will draw at Palace so a massive win will take us ahead of the scousers on GD.
  5. Can't wait to hear our fans sign "Have you ever seen Gerrard win the league" at Anfield again next season, this time louder than ever because he's come so close only to fuck it up himself.
  6. Arsenal - Newcastle 0-2 Everton - City 3-1 Crystal Palace - Liverpool 2-0 Better?
  7. Are you going to win the title now, you cunt?
  8. Pretty much this. Rest of the team picks itself if the injured ones are given the green light but I'm still undecided on whether I'd want Azpi - Ivanovic or Cole - Azpi as our full-backs. Cole has been surprisingly good in the last two massive games but Ivanovic is a huge asset for set-pieces and would probably suit Jose's approach better anyway.
  9. Always rated this guy in the past but have had my doubts lately and it has looked like his career at Chelsea would be over before it even properly began. Now he comes up with a performance like that in such a big game and all I can say is wow. Still not sure if he has a future at the club because unfortunately not all of Kalas, Zouma, Omeruo, Aké and Christensen can make the breakthrough but will be gutted if none of them do. Would be amazing to have a few of these guys as our main CBs within a few years.
  10. Something to do with Jamie Redknapp, I think.
  11. Just announce the lineup already ffs, I still need to go grab some food and a few beers before the game.
  12. Inter also supposedly interested in Mikel and Ba. Off-loading Torres, Mikel and Ba to a club that can easily match their current wages and also getting very good prices for both Luiz and Ramires. Hell, I'm not even that good at selling players in Football Manager so if Jose / Roman / Emenalo / whoever is in charge of the transfers manages to pull it off while also re-investing that money and more on some top class players, we'd be unstoppable next season. But yeah, definitely sounds too good to be true.
  13. They didn't qualify. And either way, he's rumoured to be out for at least three months.
  14. Haven't seen much of him and can't even pretend to be an expert but somehow I just have a feeling he might be one of those players who shines at the World Cup, gets an inflated transfer because of that and then fails to impress at his new club.
  15. And here I was thinking they're still far away from actually winning the title, guess not. If the Liverpool players who actually play the games start thinking that way too, they could be in serious trouble...
  16. Inter are free to buy all our rejects this summer. Torres, Ba, Mikel.
  17. You're questioning Eva? Fuck off.
  18. He's usually been good for us. Just hope he doesn't have an agenda now after Jose's conspiracy rant last week.
  19. When will they choose the referee? Hoping for Howard Webb.
  20. Must get lonely for Bushman, just talking by himself and no one ever reads his posts.
  21. Ganso never recovered his form because he was injured all the time.
  22. Fixed it. Mikel and Ba for Oscar and Torres. Firstly, a three man midfield of Mikel, Matic, Lampard would be a lot better for what I believe will be Mourinho's cautious approach to the game, not to mention also being able to rest Oscar for the Atletico game. And secondly, I don't want to see Torres anywhere near the pitch at Anfield so I would go with Demba. Really can't see Mourinho starting the likes of Hilario, Christensen, Aké, Kalas in this game. Maybe one of the youngsters could be in defense in place of Luiz, who we simply can't afford to have injured because of his importance in midfield for the Atletico game especially with Lamps and Mikel being suspended, but definitely not all three. Would be nice to see Van Ginkel at some point too if he's up for it.
  23. Hoping for Bayern to go through next week, they've been fucking shit ever since confirming their Bundesliga title. Real Madrid's defense is nowhere near as good as ours and Bayern couldn't even break through that lot. That, and Bayern's own defense also seems vulnerable to quick counter-attacks would make them a perfect opponent for us if we reach the final. Going to the Allianz again next week for the second leg, hoping for a good match.
