Jackson has already made it at this level. I look at the whinging on here about a striker and then I watch Villa against Arsenal - and if Jackson had the game Watkins just had most of you would all be saying how Jackson is shit and can't finish, and how we need a proper 9. Yet Watkins on here gets praised as if he is an absolute gun, and saw a lot of people saying they wish we had him.

Actually thought that was a decent performance against the best team in the world and our first game playing our best team. Mistakes and a bit of bad luck cost us - and we should have had a penalty to tie it up. The team needs a run of games to gel in the new system. I do agree with one of the posters above that we looked a bit timid getting the ball to the places we needed to - but that is in part due to City and also given we are new to this.

Toney is so bang average. Jesus - no idea what the fascination is with him here. Jackson>Toney and comfortably too. Felix is a eh signing, but better fit than Sterling I guess. Actually hopeful he can fit in well with the lads like Palmer, Nkunku and Jackson, as less pressure to score goals. He is great at the inbetween link up play bit so maybe his game opens up in this system.
