  1. IMO this is a great 'problem' to have. We can debate whether Oscar/Cesc should be our #10, or even if 433 is better than 4231 (which i believe to be so), but finally, just finally we have options and good ones at that.
  2. He's won everything in Spain. I like winners, Mourinho likes winners, he's a winner. Gonna be a great ride i feel.
  3. If he loves Atletico Madrid so much, he'll be there at the end of the summer. End of.
  4. Why not?! I've always been a fan of him. Haha
  5. I was so frustrated last year with how well Rudi Garcia had them playing, but Juve just refused to slip up...next year can be their year, i feel it, hope Francesco Totti goes out as a champion.
  6. Can't believe we just sold Hazard's best friend at the club (Demba Ba)! What if this makes him unhappy? Cue the Hazard to PSG rumors!
  7. I'd like to see Costa score around 15 or more goals in the league if that's not too much to ask. It's amazing (and sad), how inept our strikers have been. Unlike previous years where we never relied on one out and out goal-scorer, this team i feel does. The likes of Hazard, Oscar, Willian (except Schurrle) don't really have goals in them, so all i ask is that our midfield continue to create chances and hopefully Costa put them away. Edit: But my God, those headbutts are gonna annoy me and everybody else if he starts missing games, just watch. I'm not big on this whole, having a 'cunt' up top, you can play with an edge without being dirty. He honestly shows signs of not being any better than suarez and his antics. The thing is, he hasn't been 'caught' or punished severely for them.
  8. He's solid, and paying £30 for him is just about right in today's market. I really rate Benatia, and those thinking he'll be a mere back-up are failing to look at the bigger picture. Yes, this transfer may be a year too early for some to accept, but JT is on his final legs. We really shouldnt be expecting him to be our best defender. With this signing JT would slowly but surely ushered into an important squad player, Havent we learned the dangers of waiting too long to replace top players? I understand JT hasn't shown major signs of being a liability, but that doesnt mean we should wait till he does to then be looking for a replacement. Having 3 top CB's (and Ivanovic) is perfect for a top club and this should also help JT prolong his career imo. I have no issues with this signing, and hope it happens.
  9. Just why? He had the season of his life at Real last year and was such a great compliment to Bale and Ronaldo, and bailed them out on many occasions. There was no reason for Real to sell him, but if reports are to be believed they're looking for the next shiny toy in James Rodriguez. I kinda feel bad for him being shopped like this even after all the good things he did for them. And how the hell can PSG afford this, with all those UCL sanctions? Haha, cant wait to see how it plays out.
  10. I feel the same way. I really want the EPL to have top players. We've lost a lot of top talent (mainly due to them retiring) but its a sad state when players like Ronaldo, Xabi Alonso, Mascherano, Makalele, Bale, Suarez etc. leave the league. They all played on rival teams but it makes us a better team having to compete against top competition. Long gone are the days where EPL dominated the UCL. No more All English Semi-Finals//Finals in the UCL, (its just us now, haha) But honestly, i dont remember a time where the top teams were so average-like.
  11. Please dont send him on loan. I hope this year JM no longer has to rely on pragmatism to win the majority of the games, and if that's the case, we should really be able to play him during the season. Last year JM rarely rotated the squad, even during the tough Christmas stretch he kept the same player in the line-up. I'd like to think with a cohesive core and the signings to fix our issues, he has the freedom/confidence to 'do a Varane with Zouma' If he impresses the boss. Thats not just with Zouma but with Ake/RLC and any other youngin JM deems fit for 1st team action.
  12. Nothing better than a popularity competition in the middle of summer break. What could possibly go wrong!?
  13. Played out of his skin today, that enalty miss was hard to stomach after that great display..
  14. Mate its ok, you don't always need to apologize for your english, its been good for all of you're posts. Welcome to the Forum!
  15. Roberto Martinez also said that he does need to be suspended. I was here when he said it. Maybe if you read his comments and not glossed over them you would have noticed that Roberto is not defending Suarez, he's honestly worried that he needs help on top of the fact that his actions are unjustified. Where does he defend Suarez?
  16. IDK this all seems a bit sketchy to me. I mean, unless they physically detained me from going to see a dieing relative, i would have gone to seen my relative, regardless if i was in the thick of a title race, some things are just more important than sports. If anything this makes Yaya look bad, for failing to stand up for something as important as this. Again idk if the club could really do anything to stop him (hold his passport or any other technicality) but there's a lot of explaining needed, from both sides.
  17. Apparently you didnt see the post under yours. I was partially right. Haha
  18. Apparently Del Bosque told 'lazy Cesc' to stop training.
  19. I too would do whatever it take to get Shaw, (and i doubt it would be much) with him being a CFC fan and all, we will surely get the discount. The lose of Frank really left a big hole in the squad and we really got to try and create a new English core. Having Lamps, JT, Joe Cole and later on Cahill was a solid core of English players. i too don't want us to sign young players just for the sake of filling our HG quota, i really want us to promote the next prominent english youth talent. Be it RLC or Chalobah, heck even both! Some people may not see it as a big deal but i think having that english core is important in terms of the brand CFC, and the fans being able to identify with the club. Look at newcastle and all the french players they bought, Newcastle's identity/ethos was different, they just didn't have that same feel, and even some fans were disgruntled with this and as a result they were performing badly.
  20. This fucked up my day. Frank deserves to be here next year when we lift the EPL title, no doubt about it. As for some, he was, the main reason i fell in love with this club and started developing an emotional connection to Chelsea FC. He may not have a been a key player anymore, but it sure did feel good to have him in the squad. I dont usually get caught up in the whole Legend, leader, captain rhetoric, but their is not a footballer man who fits that criteria like Frank Lampard. Almost brought to tears man, what a guy. Thank You and Good Luck
  21. I agree, the make-up of Lavezzi is somebody that we need. A true out-and-out goal scoring winger. But we can do better, and i truly do trust the board, its just the DM posting their usual b.s. to take up space. Would have been fit in the squad had we not bought salah/schurrle.
  22. From what i understand it was done on purpose. Just let him play 10mins and then take him off, a tribute of sort so he can say he 'played' in the Final. I was fine with it, though yes it certainly did hirt them as the injuries mounted.
  23. Wanted Di Maria to score that goal,, Bale was so ass the whole game...missing chances galore. At least we have Courtois and (most likely) Costa coming to the club, with all the more hunger and passion to win the UCL. Wow, 'La Decima' has been finally arrivec!
