Why cr7 and hazard. they are too different. Cr7 is super athletic players with good skill whereas hazard is nowhere close to cr in term of body type and athleticism and I don't see him suddenly grow into CR7. Messi is a much2 better comparison, similar built similar playing style, messi even started as right winger.

Not sure what is the debate. Can we have better midfield then mikel, yes of course but that is not really important what important is who is the passer that we can get. Prime lamp and Mikel will be a damn good partnership but lamp is 34/35. I am more interested getting a passer next to rami/Mikel/romeu. Shocked with some of the comment. If you watch our game this season most of our chances are created when mata and hazard combine with reach other. They have terrific understanding , why do we want to break that up by moving them to different wings is beyond me. In term of mou moving 433, mou played 4231 wit inter and 4231 with RM. It is the player that dictate the formation and since clearly our team is built around mata and hazard 4231 is probably the way to go

Saying that mata is not even our best player or probably wasn't our 2nd best is a crime

Comparing mata to messi is pointless, the only reason messi can be super effective in that position because he is a dribbler, a passer and a finisher in one player whereas mata is more of creator/passer. He is much better at no 10 where he can create and dictate the game for us

I don't think the idea of youth system is to produce first team/superstar every generation. La masia may not produce another messi but cuenca, tello, bartra, montonya all of them are serviceable player and thiago and gerard d look like can be great players. That is the idea of having youth system

Just finished reading a very good article about our team http://espnfc.com/blog/_/name/tacticsandanalysis/id/1300?cc=4716 I may not agree with all of his opinion but I have to say it is obvious that we really lack something in our game Whenever I watched our team this season, most of the time I am not so sure what is our game plan (other than get the ball to mata and hopefully he can make something happen). We are not really a counter attacking side nor we are a possession based, I always feel like this season we have plenty of good players but to have a really great team you need to have a good system so the team can actually looks better than the sum of the individual. I just hope our next manager (whoever he will be) will be given time to instill his system.

I think people need to realize that Gotze has RELEASE CLAUSE in his contract which mean if you have enough money to pay the clause then you will get gotze. I don't think that is the case with reus,gundogan,lewandowski in which dortmund can ask tons of money before they let them go

Nah he is really good this season, the difference especially in ucl is more and more team focused their gameplan on stopping alonso. Dortmund did that and Mu certainly did that with welbeck. He is not the most mobile player so team can easily close him down
