I don't care who is our manager. lampard, malouda, torres, bosingwa, meireles should not be in our starting line up. We are having problem passing the ball from our defender to the midfield, this is just simply hilarious
Lukaku Sturridge - Mata - Torres Meireles - Essien Cole - Cahill - Luiz - Iva Torres has clearly lose his goal touch but he can still cross the ball, to be fair he actually hold the ball well in last game.
There was no reason to tighten up because after the third goal we dominated united. united is a very good team in term of attacking the box, so no matter what AVB did, I am certain united will have penalty shout.
Evra always overlap and get to the box every game and It will happen. Actually United spirit was awful until the first penalty (again easy penalty). After the second penalty, even I was disheartened, imagine the players
I don't know how Imagine if you are up three nothing and suddenly referee just gave easy penalties. Nobody will be able to handle that because you are afraid he will give you another one, if our coach is still Mourinho, 3 sideline game ban is definitely coming
No wonder it's difficult to beat MU 1st penalty: Clearly Evra put his feet in front of sturridge, penalty 2nd penalty: Welbeck put his feet on Ivanovic, penalty I have never complained about referee, that is just simply a joke. Howard Webb clearly want MU to win
I agree that we need one winger to back up mata and sturridge. AVB will still want to play 4-3-3 and as I much as I hate Sturridge, I just don't see AVB dropping him. Everybody mentions about a really good creative midfielder, I am just not sure where to put him in our current lineup. Unless AVB is ready to declare Lampard as just a rotation player. Meireles/Lampard --- Ramires Romeu/Essien I believe what we really need is a really good target-man. Drogba is still good player but he is 33 and I am really tired of Torres saga. He is almost unplayable when he play in a high tempo team like Liverpool but he does not fit the way chelsea play and we will better of selling him or even trading him for carroll. We need a target-man, Liverpool need a poacher
Interesting, so the problem lies on our team inability to play high line, however with Cahill I don't see AVB buying another cb in summer. After our performance against MU, I was excited about this season. Torres scored and if we took our chances we could score 5 in Old Trafford. It is just so depressing to see the way we play right now. I am just afraid our inability to score will cost us UCL spot
I like AVB philosophy with his possession football and high line however Is it just me or I feel like this season Chelsea is having a really major problem in term of creating chances. We play a slow build-up game which give time for our opponent to organize its defense and most of our attack come from crosses. Not only most of them are usually terrible crosses but they are floating crosses from deep. I just simply don't see Sturridge and Torres winning many ball in the air. I saw a couple of goals for us this season when Cole/Mata was able to penetrate into the box and made good crosses, but I don't think they can do that consistently. Mata prefers to cut inside and do a link up play and cole is simply not 27 anymore. Without Ramires who is great at counter attack, I really have no idea where the goals will come for us other than from set pieces or defensive mistake by our opponent.
Problem with Torres: - He looked sluggish and slow - He wanted a through ball but the ball always came to his feet + no Chelsea player can make a good through ball except Mata and sadly " Torres - When he made a run, the ball never came to him and in the end he looked confused Btw, Essien played a good game, composed + good passing
Am I the only one who think torres played quite well ? He did not lose the ball and his link-up play was quite good. In the last 5 minutes when the game was played really fast, I thought he looks really dangerous. No excuse for the miss though, I thought it was a difficult chance (his only chance) but he should have buried it.
