It is not people want everything from a player but that is what it required in modern football. It is no longer enough for a cb to be just good at defending, they have to be good at build up. If you don't have that your build up will always be inferior compare to your opponents, just look as the our build up compare to spurs. Same for a cf, that is the reality. I agree that Conte should have played Michy more, not as a starter but to complement Morata. As a single striker, his performance with us was bad, really bad. You forget Michy was our starter over Morata early season but he was awful. He cannot hold the ball and bring our am into play. You said you want basic thing, for Conte system that is the basic for a cf not scoring.

I disagree. Our 2015 squad was fantastic in term of player quality, 2017 not so much.

Maybe I am in the minority here but I really like this signing. I like Giroud as a striker. His finishing is horrible but his link up play is great which is important for our team. I believe he will do very well for us.

So Michy scored two goals and everyone start complaining that we misuse him or Conte is the worst manager. I don't believe anybody here think that Michy is a bad finsiher, I even said it multiple times that he is a better finisher than Morata or Costa. But in Conte system, the CF need to hold up the ball and bring our two AM into play. If you can't do that, then you are useless as CF. It is rare these days for a team to employ a player solely for scoring goals maybe except Ronaldo for madrid Even a CF has to do more than scoring. In Conte sytem, the front striker need to hold up the ball and bring our two am into play similar to Kane role in Spurs. Just watch Spurs vs United, Kane was absolutely brilliant although he does not score but his hold up was the reason they can attack brilliantly.

Let's assume that we can redo our transfer window, who do you guys think we should have signed ? Assuming that we have Baka(40) + Drinkwater (35) +Rudiger (20) + Morata (60) + Zap (20) around 175 m to spend, but we lost costa,matic, ake and chalobah.

Azpi is too short to play that position, I am not sure Rudiger has ever played that position so it was a difficult choice. Ampadu is definitely an option, but it simply mean that Conte trust Ampadu over Rudiger.

Imo it has nothing to do with becoming victim or being complacent, we are simply cannot compete with City, United and maybe Arsenal in term of transfer power plus our signing this season especially Bakayoko has been disappointing. We cannot sign Walker and Sandro because we dont't have the money. Emerson + Zappacosta cost less than kyle walker. I much prefer to sign a world class midfielder rather than spend it on Baka+Drinwater (I have to admit I thought Baka is going to be good for us) this season to complement Kante and keep chalobah but who should have we signed ?

I think cahill problem is the fact that he has to play the middle cb. He does not have the speed to sweep behind nor the passing ability to be middle cb.

It's not something that should happen again. I'm still behind the man leading our team but he's got to change things up immediately. Cahill & Bakayoko need to be bench for the foreseeable future, if he has any intention of balancing this boat. We have replacement for cahill but who is going to replace baka ?

This is for me is our major problem, every game I have no confident that we are going to score. Our attack look and feel predictable. Watching spurs who play the same 343, their offensive level is like on different level.

I think you are talking about having barkley as starting player which is not the case at this point. Right now he is another option for Conte for the two positions that I mentioned unless he can show to us that he is a starting player material for big team like us then we can really find a way to get the best of Barkley. The biggest problem for 352 is not about the formation, the formation is perfectly fine, it is just our wb are just not good enough to be the only width players plus either baka and kante need to start to learn to be more progressive in term of their passing. Many times both player play simple pass all the time. I don't know whether it is their fault, by design or the movement of our front player is not good enough. But it really pissed me off when the ball move only side to side without going forward quickly

I am not so sure being fast is a requirement playing as one of the front 3 as the two winger is actually more of a no 10 even cesc can play that position. Like Conte said in his interview Barkley either will be the most advanced mid in 352 or one of the no 10 in 343. I will wait till Barkley is fully fit to judge him, hopefully he can give us something different going forward because we certainly need help in that area

But we played with 2 dm, certainly you need at least 3. I am not sure what happen with chalobah but at that point we really need another cm who is comfortable playing in midfield 2

I don't get it what do you mean by we have this position covered with Baka and kante. I think people forget how porous our defense look when fab play in two man midfield early season when Baka was injured. Plus he is hg which is a bonus

Nah, I agree that we need to bring more youth in but at the same time we have to be ready to be like arsenal or spurs. Basically you will not win anything significant for years and hope that they develop into real world class player. Plus you need to pray that your best player will stay.

Against atletico, bakayoko is the holder. I dont get why Conte insist on playin kante as the holder

Courtois is doing fine. Kante ? Not for me, i have said it multiple times,he is the best ball winner in epl but his passing and movement cannot be conservative all the time. Pass forward and make run beyond forward. Christense has done well tbf, same for willian and pedro but both are playing agajnst a tired players.
