Pedro if Conte wants to persist with 3 in midfield Like @The Skipper said barkley is the only one that sort of make sense but he is not fit plus I only watched him once with us. The problem is when you watch them play, it is hard to consider them to be one of the best team ever. I'll take pep barca or bayern treble winning team over this team any day. They are not dominant at all. I am not talking about possession but in term creating chances and limiting opp chances. It feels like they got lucky so many times and get away with many things. Bayern absolutely battered them over two legs, they also can easily lose against juventus. Although they will win ucl 3 times in a row but they also only win la liga once during that time.

This real team may go to the final 3 straight years and may won it 3 times, but it is difficult to say that they are a great team

I agree. Whilst he isn't exactly a great player, there aren't that many better LWBs out there. Meanwhile Moses pretty much escapes criticism altough he clearly has a worse season than Alonso. Nah we appreciate Alonso. We all know that he is a decent player but if Alonso is the best left back this season, then the other left back are just horrible. Nah it is more if you are a lone striker for Conte. It comes down to what you want from your striker. It is hard to consider Gabriel Jesus or firmino to be exactly physical striker, but they are not asked to do much of holdup play

But Matic wanted to leave. That is the problem. Coutinho wanted to leave so Pool sold him. Walker wanted to leave, so spurs sold him. It happened to every team. Nobody wanted Matic to leave but if a player wanted to leave and you get the correct price you sell him. The biggest problem is not selling Matic but our signing. Forget Bakayoko and Morata. Those signing made sense. I am talking about drinkwater and Zappacosta. Those made 0 sense. I have said it since the end of last summer after we won the league , priority should be wing back and wing back. Alonso and Moses are serviceable but they can't be our starter. I have no problem with solid full back but you can't have just solid wing back.

It is more about the style. Klopp team has always been very explosive, his dortmund teams were very similar. Playing fast and aggressive is exciting but it come down to personel including player and manager.

I don't want hazard to run so much and chase, that is just detrimental for our team as hazard is our sole creator in the team whereas Liverpool does not play with creator at least after Coutinho left. Again for me it come down to team setup and style. Salah is fantastic but he will not be as fantastic playing in slow tempo which we employ.

Matic is 28/29 and wanted to leave and we got 40 m out of him. That was no brainer. Losing salah is not a mistake. He will never score the way he is doing in our team. I have said multiple times, just watch 5 of Liverpool games and watch 5 of our games. It doesn't take a genius to see the massive difference in term of tempo and style.

Then you have to hire a manager like klopp who want to play that kind of football. It is as simple as that. You can't expect Mou, ance and Conte team do play like that because that is not their style.
