He's been playing the middle of the park for a while now, it would be tough to throw him up there and expect his MOVEMENT to be perfect. We all know that when he decides to flick that switch on he is lethal. Perhaps it's his attitude, maybe his doesn't feel comfortable leaving that switch on

Marin had his chance Sunday. He blew it.

1. The pitch was terrible and if you've ever gone from playing with a top-of-the-table passing side to trying that shit on spotty mud and sand, it doesn't work and you look like garbage; particularly when your team isn't in top form at the moment. 2. I was so happy to see Oscar take charge of the midfield; really happy with his performance trying to riggle football out of under-performing teammates. 3. Marin: That was your chance, and you blew it. I was really hoping he could be big for us too... 4. Bertrand, WTF did you do all game!? If there's one player who doesn't need help defending against a lower side it's Ashley Cole so why the hell did we double up the D on that side!? 5. yesterday reeked of poor coaching and tactics. 6. I don't know if it was the second half or Juan Mata, but the opening minutes of that half made every negative thing I said above look irrelevant. 7. The negativity is poisonous in these threads. It seeps into the pores of the fans at the stadium which (whether we wanna believe it or not) can affect the players on the pitch and thus our opinions of them even more so. We are certainly not shit. Yes, we've dropped chances. But we are sitting third in the table in what I would call a transition year. If you discount 1 iota of the good fortune we had last season, that would leave us mid table and maybe with an FA cup win. Yes we can do better, but our team can't just go on trouncing everyone except for "bad days". This will take time to get to a dynasty-feeling club, and perhaps never will. So we should take our W's and our Cup ties and get on with shouting C'mon Chelsea as loud as we f-ing can.

They can bench him, cut his wages, let him go, give him a contract, or make him manager, but it doesn't matter because they can't take Frank Lampard away from Chelsea. The man is a legend at this club and his name will be sung for the next three years and more, contract or not. I am never more proud as a Chelsea Supporter than when Frank scores and kisses and pulls on the logo on his shirt. And you're right, he's not bigger than this club. But I personally think that he is bigger than any other individual currently employed by CFC.

Clearly I have bias, but I think mceachran and mata will be the future backbone of this team. Mata, like many of you are already saying, on his way to being our next talisman. I honestly believe that, given the chance, Mceachran will be right behind our newest el presidente

Call me crazy but I don't think we should buy a new CM. I think we should use our youth. We just one the CL and FA cup. It's a long shot to go for the title. I wish we would've recalled Mceachran and Lukaku instead of buying Ba and _____. We'll never have another legend at this club until we give some youth a real shot. I don't think what we're doing is terrible, but think about all of the solid young talent that is constantly waiting in the wings because we're too scared to just trust and grow our players. I dunno just very frustrating as a supporter to get excited about rising talent when they have only the choices to either shine brilliantly when first brought in (mata) or constantly wait until we have no choice but to play them

That kid is solid. His confidence is, in my opinion, what sets him apart from Bertrand. His body language suggested that he felt he could handle anything in the back and provide all sorts of assistance up front... I do like Bertrand quite a lot though. But waiting in line at a big club can screw with your head.

In the game against Man City, I thought it would have been perfect at the hour mark to throw him in. Frankly, I'm sick and tired of seeing Oscar start over and over again and then get subbed out over and over again because he isn't dynamic for 90 minutes. This guy deserves not a chance, but regular use.

Did anyone watch Essien play for Real Madrid lately? For me, watching his quality, precision, and movement really made Mikel look sub-par. I don't think he's horrible, but I don't think there is any reason for us to have a weak link on the pitch. Compared to the talents of the other starters in their positions, and the results they produce in games, I think we have better options.

I totally agree that it should be a no brainer. It just seems that there is this psychological comfort the EPL coaches get from having at least one "big dude" in the center of the park. I don't know

I know this is a little late, and I know some people said they don't like the yellow, but I wanted to share a design idea. It's by no means a complete product, because I am by no means an artist/designer. But I had this idea to invert the checkered flag into the crest. Let me know what you think; what I am REALLY LOOKING FOR is for a REAL DESIGNER to take this idea and run with it. cheers
