  1. What makes you think it would be ideal? I don't. It's his first year as a manager, I cringe at the suggestions to bring Lampard in so soon. Hasn't even managed a club in any first league yet. Far more experienced, better and decorated managers have come in and struggled or outright failed with us. I laugh at the suggestions of JT even more, he hasn't even managed any team yet. Plus with our board's "backing", they are even more bound to fail. But I do dream of one day both coaching us, one as manager and the other assistant.
  2. We pressed lower and tried to move quicker with the ball. There was not much needless lingering on the ball and somebody always made themselves available for the pass, which is something that had been a problem before the last three games. I've definitely seen some tactical adjustments past few games to suit the opponent and our players' conditions (e.g. pressing lower due to fatigue).
  3. A lot has been said and criticized about him, but he has been by far our best and most consistent midfielder this season. The B2B role suits him very well, having him sitting only deep in DM would be a waste of his energy. It's also quite funny that Kante is our biggest threat from midfield lol.
  4. How was your sleep? Hope you enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed the game?
  5. Very pleased with his performance. Didn't miss Kepa at all other than his distribution perhaps, but the main thing with Willy is that he had no trademark WTF moments and kept it simple. Feel Willy deserves to play a bit more than he has this season. Happy with both our GK options.
  6. Could have done without the "one of the best" bit, damages his credibility, but other than that it looks encouraging when he doesn't play in a cup final.
  7. We have no perfect skipper in the squad, not even close, but if what has been reported about Azpi is true, then he's not the least worst of the bunch. Sent from my Mi A1 using Tapatalk
  8. We have no one with leadership qualities who doesn't blow hot and cold. Sent from my Mi A1 using Tapatalk
  9. Yup, have a good feeling about Rüdi. He was quite tame when he first arrived understandably, but he has progressed to become a leader on the pitch. Well, at least his attitude on the field is a head above the rest other than Luiz. Sent from my Mi A1 using Tapatalk
  10. Give the armband to Luiz. Azpi is not who I thought he was.
  11. Glad Sarri didn't get punished. Even though he could have acted better, at least this shows that the manager was backed and the offending player punished. Restores some of that authority that had been lost.
  12. What, he was struck blind for a good few minutes? Azpi didn't say he didn't see it, he said he was on the other side of the pitch.
  13. Yeah we have exactly zero leaders in the team.
  14. His penalty taking style is exactly what you would describe brilliant if successful, but stupid as fuck when you fail.
  15. What did he say? I'm also massively disappointed not to have seen Azpi anywhere near. JT would have dragged him off by his feet if needed. Overall that incident said quite a lot about the state of our team currently.
  16. Caballero could have made the saves. It's speculative, but Kepa lost for a fact and we never got to see if head coach's decision would have won us the trophy. Hence, I blame Kepa for taking away the opportunity that should have been instead.
  17. I find it hard to believe, he just doesn't want to feed the drama with all that "player power" thing and him losing the dressing room. If all it had been was him thinking it was a cramp and it really wasn't, then by that time the doctors would have surely told him, but he was barely even involved in the pre-shootout team-talk. I think somewhere during the initial substitution attempt he decided he wanted Caballero on regardless for his penalty track record. Also the way Kepa didn't even approach Sarri after ET was a disgrace. The only way Kepa would have been excused was if he had made the saves to win the shootout. He didn't, so I blame him. If he had listened to the manager, we could have won it, but we will now never know. Needs to punished for costing us a trophy.
  18. Rlc you beauty! Pedro shoot ffs! Sent from my Mi A1 using Tapatalk
  19. I don't recall any booing for Hazard.
  20. HAHAHA, typical name-drops. Not gonna get any of them but there will be plenty of "links", I'm sure of it. We're a mid-table team, those players would want to join clubs with ambitions and chances to win major trophies. We're gonna be hustling for domestic cups at best for years to come.
  21. Doesn't make much sense. We can lose players but not gain any... We already have bad players and we can only get worse. If Sarry stays, he needs new players ASAP, otherwise nothing will come of it and we will unfortunately need a pragmatic manager to keep us afloat.
  22. + Pep wanted him badly, this says something. Jorginho is struggling no doubt about it, but I think in a well functioning team he'd be a monster.
  23. Pathetic isn't it? Even Ivanovic and Oscar weren't booed iirc and they were much worse towards the end. Jorginho needs confidence, like everybody else, random booing won't help.
  24. The players have no urgency or aggression
