I have a feeling people on here differ in opinion on what a pub team is. Anyway, I've seen enough pre-seasons to know not to give a shit about them. Seldomly it translates to the actual season, where motivations and tactics are different.

I don't know if I'm finally reaching the acceptance stage, but I'm now actually more excited to see how we'll play without him. What can he do about it? It's the coaches' decision. CB one time, MF the other... they don't seem to know what to do with him either.

There are also tall CBs who are shit, too many to name. It's about having the ability to compensate for your weaknesses. Is Ampadu capable of that? I don't know, too small sample size. And if he's going to predominantly play MF, then I doubt he will ever be more than an average CB.
