What an incredible performance! Except for the last 10 minutes or so when the team showed its inexperience, but it doesn't matter when we score more. Pulisic with a monster performance, the first perfect hattrick since Drogba ~9 years ago. Was very pleased with Reece when he came on, did well on both ends. Disappointed with CHO, thought he couldn't do anything right and his introduction coincided with our worst period in the game. Kovacic and Jorginho, another dominant performance. What a midfield we have on our hands!

If you need to move the picture frame by frame and draw some lines to determine if it was off or not, then it's not obvious, then they are level and benefit should be played to attacker.

lol arsenal suck

He was struggling with minor injuries, got a knock on international duty and wasn't risked to start against relegation fodder. Before he had Kante ahead of him, doesn't mean Lampard doesn't rate Kova, just means he rates Kante more. I am sure Frank is loving his midfield options.

Wholeheartedly agree. I thought VAR would be great and was long overdue, but it's being overused to the point it's becoming ridiculous. I support giving the attacking team the benefit of doubt when it's close.. so close that it's even hard to tell with technology. If it's not obvious, let it go, football is about scoring goals, not measuring centimetres on screens. I thought Ajax were hard done by.

In light of this... Kepa Azpi - Zouma - Tomori - Alonso (no other choices as they are our only fit defenders) Jorginho - Barkley (Barkley has to step it up if Kovacic can't make it) Willian - Mount - CHO Tammy
-
Only if you are Pirlo or Scholes... they were considered top top players for a reason, not every technical regista is from their class. In fact such players are quite rare, this is why you can name only a handful of them, who have deservedly become football legends.

It would still be this way if Lampard wasn't the manager. Every other manager would marginalize the youngsters and they wouldn't even be in conversation as depth options. Otherwise, if you looked at our squad before season's start, not many would say we had great quality in depth after Hazard's and Luiz's departures. Even Jorginho and Kovacic were slaughtered before; Tomori wasn't considered anywhere near starting quality; Tammy, Mount were big question marks too - but look at them now. Lamps has created those options himself and I couldn't be happier with his work so far.

I agree. Last mid-season I thought defensively the game moved past him too much, there was too much reliance on Kante to bail him out. Starting from last season's end and improving upon that up to this point, he is definitely more involved in defensive phase and isn't seen as a liability anymore.

This is bread and butter of tabloids, other outlets cover worse and more serious things. Sent from my Mi A1 using Tapatalk

+ he refused to pay for the ride, which is (or should be) against the law.

Good luck to Mount! Hopefully Tammy gets a cap too.

Yes please!! Let him destroy spuds

Hence why I said only if he was cheap. Having him for a year for cheap, I wouldn't mind to see how that would work out, but it's probably not feasible from Bale's POV as he would likely pursue more than 1 year and on higher wages than I have in mind.
-
Bale, I feel, is the kind of player who would pick himself up again in a different non-toxic environment. I think Lampard could work well with him and Premier League suits him. If we dump Willian or Pedro, then I wouldn't mind Bale taking over that squad rotation role, providing competition and experience while Pulisic learns his trade. BUT only if his wages match his real value, considering his age and injury record. Would also be a welcome goal threat to have.

I think Chelsea was the wrong club for Salah from the beginning, too big a slice too soon for him. Fiorentina and Roma were suitable environments for him to continue developing and get to where he is now. Though I still wish somebody had recognized his real potential here.

^ So confirmed, it was Mourinho who attempted to destroy our future even further, cunt. Can't see how any club with long-term plans would hire this wrecking ball.
-
To think we could have had KDB and Kante both in our team right now. Jorginho Kante De Bruyne But yeah Kante over KDB for me if I had to choose one.
-
My bet is on Villas-Boas. Or maybe Mourinho.
-
Kante's contract is until 2023, I'm afraid Marina would suffocate of laughter if they ever offered 70m for the best midfielder in the world (yes, I said it!).
-
Real would eat him alive if he went there now, would probably kill his career too.
