@LeonDavis23, you really should learn to edit your posts, your spamming is getting ridiculous.

This game enforced my opinion that he shouldn't be played in the double pivot, but rather as the CAM in a 4-2-3-1 or in the Lampard role in 4-3-3. I don't know where that leaves Hazard and Mata, but he definitely must play. 4-2-3-1 is fluid enough not to worry about the positions, Oscar can exchange between either flanks.

If it's true that Silva and Balotelli won't play, then this makes things a lot easier for us. Of course the loss of Balotelli is no biggy, they can still slot in Agüero or Džeko But Silva is very important for them, we can take advantage of his absence. Whoever plays in central attacking midfield, will be in for a treat against De Jong and Toure. I think Hazard will be the best option there, because he can keep the ball well, as well he can draw fouls and he's bound to get quite a few. I wouldn't also mind a Mikel-Ramires pivot, because Mikel-Lampard is too slow and static against the likes of City. Ramires can be the ball winning midfielder and hassler, while Mikel is the defensive shield and provides cover. Lampard is good at distributing the ball and being the extra body in front of the box, but in defence he falls short to Rambo. If it does not work out, Robbie can always sub him or move him to the wing and sub someone from there. But I am pretty sure it will be a 4-2-3-1 with Mikel and Lampard.

Yeah, the one who changed his/hers vote in the last minute will testify that my word is solid

Surely it must win the avatar competition then, since you're the organizer and all

Is Marin available for this game? I hope he is.

Will I not get a gold badge?

Wow, thanks for the recognition guys. This was one month where I thought I had absolutely no chance and here I am. I can now join the illustrious group of previous winners, and oh my do I feel like an outsider to be included with those legendary forumers. I would be lying if I said I didn't care about winning it, I've done for a long time. This is a great way to motivate people to put a bit more thought in what and how they post. But anyway, everybody who voted for me can expect a pleasant return for your troubles: So yeah, give WHS a call In all seriousness though, I want to thank everybody who nominated, voted or even considered voting for me. The rest of the bunch gave me a close run, I bet if you gave this poll a few more days, @ or @Duppy Conqueror could once again overtake me. @, you're a brilliant addition to the forum and to be in the running in only your second month speaks volumes. @Henrique is the most badass person over here, he gives so few fucks that he didn't even bother to vote. Now, let's celebrate this monumental moment with the national anthem of Estonia I can now die in peace because I've achieved everything I've ever wanted.

I've mistaken him for Balotelli several times

Thanks for considering me

Not a good game to judge on. We had possibly the worst and slowest possible midfield 3 out there and no real wingers. Ramires is NOT a winger, he can't make high crosses for his dear life (yes I know about his cross to Drogba against Napoli, exceptions happen) and he can't dribble past a player. Cundy was right, he is only effective when he gets the ball in full flight, not when he's static. Hazard didn't look comfortable in that formation. Ideally I would want 4-3-3 tested out with Mikel/Romeu, Ramires and Oscar in midfield and Marin and Mata/Hazard on wings. Playing both Mata and Hazard on wings in a 4-3-3 would be too narrow... Marin, as a natural winger, would provide us some genuine width. The game against Brighton wasn't really an ideal game to judge the formation, it was more of a judgement on the players in that collective, which was not a surprise as it was not different from what we saw regularly last season.

With Nani, Kagawa and Moura they could have a pretty strong attacking third. Then they have the likes of Young and Valencia to rotate. Compared to last season, the top tier has really added in quality bar City (yet).

Are there any strikers for loan? This way we wouldn't have to splash money until we wait when Lukaku and Sturridge are ready for greater responsibility. Falcao and Cavani are imo unrealistic targets, so I'm not even gonna name them as solutions. I don't know who is out there, but I would like him to be between the age 25-30, because we have enough inexperience and youth in attack already, I would like someone who's been around the block for a few years and is somewhere around his peak. One name that comes to mind is Huntelaar. Prolific in the box, isn't too young, isn't too old, wouldn't cost too much probably.
-
Often when we play the pitch seems so much narrower to me than normal, it did last season and it does now. I don't know if it's because of the lack of width from us or because many teams play really compact against us, or both.

Doesn't matter, you play until the whistle no matter what. This does not concern only Luiz, but the whole backline. Reminded me of Walcott's goal last season when again our whole team switched off. No learning from mistakes...

I have. What has this got to do with you disliking and mocking "freeloaders"?
-
Why can't you believe it? Mata hasn't been available.

Justin has donated

Very mature. How old are you again? 99% of the forum are freeloaders probably.
-
Both were mostly invisible. Hazard looked disinterested, Torres could yet again complain about lack of service and movement behind him.
-
This one was probably directed towards Terminator X, wasn't it?
-
Really? How seriously? And it begins
-
Awful. Where the fuck was Marin? He could have provided us some much needed width. Oh well, on to bigger things now.

Close it already
