Impressive performance in 2nd half until the undeserved red card. Torres looked very good, so did Mata. I'm happy for Mata, a lot of things clicked for him today and he showed his worth. All in all 1-1 away at Spurs is an okay result.

Jose did the same to Joe Cole and he adapted. I can see Mata having the mindset to adapt as well.

No wonder I hate people more and more everyday. Mata, I absolutely love the guy and he's done more for the club than Oscar has, snatching up deserved back-to-back player of the year awards. It's the result now of overstacking players on one position. Oscar is better defensively, but Mata is better at everything on the attacking front.

I didn't vote because I'd rather express my opinion. I'm not as active here anymore as I used to be, so I guess I can give a bit of an 'outsider view'. My first suggestion is to scrap this whole thing. When I come on the forum and look at threads, I search for interesting things to read. MOTM is not one of them, so from my POV, it can be done and dusted with. But I guess it's a narrow-minded view, MOTM has become sort of a long-running tradition here already, nothing wrong with that and it's always nice to receive and give recognition (it also hurts if you're overlooked, so I guess every upside has a downside). My second suggestion then, as I expect this thing will continue to exist (after all, the poll is about changing the format, not about continuing or discontinuing), is to leave it as it is OR have a hybrid between staff nominations and user nominations. Set a fixed number of candidates (4 sounds reasonable), 2 will be pre-decided by the staff, 2 will be nominated by the members in a span of ~1-2 days, so as not to stretch it too long like it has done before. Splitting it into categories (general and football, as suggested in the poll) would be unnecessary in my opinion. It would clutter the forum even further and complicate things pointlessly. Member of the month should be just that, a member. Leave categories for the annual awards.

Any further attacking signing would be overkill and pointless. We simply need at least one solid, peaked, skilled midfielder. If we signed Rooney, Ronaldo, Messi or any player in that mould, I couldn't care less.

Any kind of CM pairing we can field is too weak for what our standard should be. Therefore I find it hard to name a best pair, managers have shuffled through all the permutations and I've yet to see any that make those positions theirs. And I guess the managers agree, otherwise they wouldn't have shuffled.

Does anybody else feel kinda weird about this season? Like it's not, I don't know... real? I mean seeing Chelsea with a largely new team even compared to last season, with Jose as the manager, playing United while Ferguson is nowhere to be seen. It all feels so untrue and it's as if I'm still waiting for the premier league to actually start.

Haven't been following this forum or football in general much lately, but where are Mata, Luiz and Azpi? They were the players who kept us most excited last season. It's only three games in, granted, but still... And the odd rumours I saw here and there about Mata leaving are making me nervous. The prospect of Mata leaving and Rooney coming in, brrr... would make me lose a chunk of respect towards whoever is responsible. Oh, a point at Old Toilet and top of the table (for now). Not bad
