  1. Yes, defence is the line Mourinho is least likely to rotate in two consecutive BIG matches. Nearly impossible unless there are fitness concerns. The players who play in these games, are his best and most trusted ones - in one word starters. That's why I would be surprised if Cahill somehow appeared ahead of Zouma again.
  2. Real change attacking flair players every year for big money, it's no surprise when they sell players like Di Maria to accomodate new shiny flavour of the month players. Defence is the only position that has stayed fairly stable over the years and I doubt they will look to bury big money in there, as that doesn't make them more "attractive". If Real had any sense, they would drop that disgrace of a football player Pepe sooner rather than later and promote Varane to full-time starter to keep hold of him. I'm afraid acquiring Varane will be nearly impossible, but as you said, in football you never know.
  3. His decision making is top notch because he chose Chelsea.
  4. She kicked out Ron the Dinosaur and took over, she is just so BUTCH. I wouldn't doubt for a second that it was she who was playing hardball with Wolfsburg to the last minute to get that extra dough into our future spending power. Word is she didn't even flinch!
  5. Two words: Marina Granovskaia This dame knows what she wants, and she knows how to get it. Look she's a fucking black widow for pete's sake! No wonder clubs budge to such a woman.
  6. Chelsea are gaining quite a foothold in South-America. We are already a Brazilian team, I suspect Chelsea is very popular among Brazilians (judging by this forum they are)? Now we have a hand in in Columbia, and I reckon it's not a small market with almost 50 million people.
  7. FM16 is getting easier and easier. Welcome you dready-teddy!
  8. The webmaster is probably writing the announcement as we speak.
  9. Tbh I think in the case of the City game, we were simply unable to do intensive pressing. There were signs of intent in the beginning, but the further the game went, especially in the second half, we simply looked like lacking energy to do it. If we tried the aggressive pressing way, then there is a higher chance somebody concedes a mistake due to mental and physical fatigue. Pressing game requires individuals able to do it, we simply lacked the physical power. Passive compact defending can be handled more through team preparation and organization rather than relying so much on individual sharpness. Had we also had a week for rest and preparation, I am positive the game would have looked different. Maybe not in terms of result, but definitely in terms of matching them physically.
  10. No proof It was a tongue-in-cheek comment, in reference to the stories about it in the papers during the WC (how cameroon mysteriously disappeared and Song collected a baffling red card).
  11. I think announcements can come after the deadline, don't think there are any rules against it. IIRC has happened before.
  12. That's what frustrates me the most. It's fine when we are unpenetrable in defence, but this is not the case, the goal is always in the air when we invite pressure. We make a lot of last ditch tackles, blocks and saves, which actually shouldn't happen if we defended properly... this way we rely solely on a defender's/goalkeeper's skill and luck, those are uncontrollable situations which, when piled upon often enough, stack the odds against us. There was a time when I felt quite safe doing that, but not anymore. We either don't want to or are unable to (I think it's the latter) take control of the game for at least some periods of the game to relieve pressure, but no, we go into full panic mode where we just lump the ball in random coordinates or somebody misplaces a silly little pass, pull back into our third and repeat the cycle. With the team we have our ball retention simply must be better, Fabregas or no Fabregas.
  13. Song rigged a world cup game. No thanks.
  14. Jose has repeatedly stated his love for English football. I suspect he thrives on the attention he gets from the media, it makes it easier for him to set baits.
  15. http://gfycat.com/SpiffyIdenticalBaboon Is this Vitesse?
  16. Just rewatched the highlights and he definitely played a part, but overall I think he had a good game. It's lucky for Ivanovic and Terry we didn't concede from any of their mistakes otherwise we'd be talking about them.
  17. No way in hell will we see that in our lifetime. Ivanovic is undroppable.
  18. What the fuck, goals have nothing to do with it, especially when talking about a defensive midfielder who's job isn't to score. I said he made a mistake, didn't I? He deserves his fair share of blame for being one of the links in the chain that led to a goal, but there were many links after him. His display was such, especially in the first half, that he avoided many more chances than he caused. Praises are due, without him we would have lost and I have no doubt in my mind about it.
  19. Piss off guys, Matic was fucking butch last night. That goal, despite his mistake, could have been avoided if Azpilicueta, Courtois and our defence in general had played better. The zone where he lost the ball was not exactly under his own goal. Matic was beast and my MOTM.
  20. Remy is an absolutely brilliant backup for Costa. I couldn't imagine a better backup to be honest. And most importantly - he has goals in him. You know whenever he's playing, there is a goal in him, just create the chance. From last year to this year, our striking options have improved the most BY FAR.
  21. I respect Willian a lot despite his limitations. He has assumed the responsibility of team's work horse and it is not an easy task. He's been asked to sacrifice himself for the team and he has responded, no bitching and moaning. Being entrusted this grueling role in Jose Mourinho's system is not something to spit at, he must be very well trusted by the man.
  22. You are a very intelligent lady. You keep opening up new perspectives to me and it's such a relief to know this little bit more. I noticed everybody's touch was heavy and slow, but Oscar was missing completely now that it has been brought up, I too can't remember him at all.
  23. Come on man, he's not a B2B player. If we draw analogies with FM then he's definitely a roaming/deep-lying playmaker. He is where the ball is, a box-to-box midfielder doesn't care about that.
