Can anything be done about Twitter embeds? In the example below it is impossible to view the video.

Fab can keep playing as an advanced midfielder, but our big glaring weakness is holding our own in our half of the pitch, somebody to get the ball rolling while also keeping defensive solidity. Currently we have zero players who can fulfill that role. If a marquee player of this mould would be our only signing in January, I would be pleased. 5. Who should play, who shouldn't? Based on merit Azpilicueta and Willian are undroppable atm. Costa should play because he is better than the other strikers. Everybody else isn't anywhere near Chelsea standard, so they shouldn't play, but we have no choice. 6. What kind of tactics do you think will get us out of this slump? Holding a low-mid block, get other players besides Azpi and Willian to press as a unit, having won the ball opt for quick counter-attacks since we can't do anything meaningful with possession. Yes that's small team tactics, but we are playing like a small team, so let's at least try to play to our strengths. As a bonus, how did we go from Premier league to staying clear of relegation ? Beats me, seriously. We could predict a subpar campaign based on how we ended last season, being dormant in transfer window and horribly planned and played pre-season, but this? I'm at loss for words. When Mourinho first came he made us solid. Our performances improved gradually until it peaked at the start of next season, when we were playing some wonderful stuff. Then winter came, expectedly we became more tired and not as creative as before, but we still had grit! It's been downwards ever since and now we've hit rock bottom with the same players who set the world alight last year. Players don't lose their quality this quickly and this badly, I've no doubt some reckless coaching has a hand in all of it.

Mind-boggling signing. He isn't even young to somehow explain this. It's apparent it was a panic buy to make up the CB numbers that Jose wanted, but we seriously couldn't get someone of higher quality? It's a non-signing atm, as good as a blank spot so might as well have given it to Kalas or someone. The signing of Papy for me is an embodiment of our current season reflected in summer transfer window - below acceptable level. The board is far from clean from this mess. When you think about it, Mourinho has a very thin squad, it's no wonder a pragmatic coach like Jose is reluctant to ditch his trustees from last season for some unproven names given to him. I'm sure he would love to have more options in defence and midfield in this putrid moment, but there are none.

How long are people talking about this offside? It was a close call, shit happens. Give refs video technology and things like that don't happen. Anyway, this season it looks like our strategy is to rely on the refs not ourselves, maybe that is why Jose is always so pissed. Maybe he knows penos and dubious decisions given our way are the only hope we got, since we've given up playing football altogether anyway. Refereeing standards have been below par anyway for yonks now, it is our standard we need to raise big time.

The Russian commentator on my stream has several times pointed out our non-existent unrehearsed attacking play and I agree wholeheartedly. Even he sees that Mourinho needs to change his approach, but now it's too late I'm afraid.

Everybody. Everybody knows he would rip it apart in a proper cohesive team, the problem is they can use his performance levels as leeway to reduce the transfer fee if he continues like that.

I agree with Jose here. In my eyes RLC was a defensive liability, his lack of work rate is a concern. Too often I caught him casually walking around when there were gaping holes in midfield that needed covering and he could have jogged to those areas, shown some more determination, but he didn't. Matic made us more solid. RLC can expect more game time once we stop being afraid of relegation teams, which could take a while.

Until ~February this year he was considered a Kalou with a fro, this season he has been carrying us. Massive improvement. First name on the team for me.

Baba's league debut... awful first half, big improvement in second. He sure as hell hasn't adapted yet, but how could he without games. He lived into the game in the 2nd half and he may continue to improve on that with a run of games hopefully.
