  1. Has this been proven beyond those solitary tweets? Or has it always been common knowledge?
  2. If we get him, can we agree not to call him DD? There is only one DD, and it's not Danny Drinkwater.
  3. Are we sure he wasn't just cheering for the English in an England vs. Germany CL final? Does he have any other history with Chelsea other than those tweets?
  4. I don't believe that rumour for a minute. If you asked him, I believe he would say he would play anywhere he can be of use to the team. Also, if he excels there, why would he be opposed to leveraging his career to a new level? If we have agreed a fee and the player is undergoing a medical, then for sure there have been conversations about his role in the team already, negotiations wouldn't be this far if there weren't. And looking at our team, then it is a natural conclusion that he would play wing-back a lot. Ox presumably knows this, but still (hopefully) signs for us - that tells me all I need to know, those rumours are just made up bullshit.
  5. We could have said the same thing about Fabregas tbh. Without having seen him play in a midfield 2 or in the front three, we wouldn't believe he could be of any use. If we did get him, I think he would play in a number of positions - CAM in 3-5-2, CM or RAM in 3-4-3. But I agree, he wouldn't be tailor-made for any position in our system, he would need to be moulded and eased in slowly. Would be easier to fit him in if our system had a dedicated nr.10, but it doesn't. I don't think we need him, we will (hopefully) have Ox covering a number of positions and Drinkwater as a natural tried and tested in a midfield 2. Wish we were linked to a LWB instead, but there is nothing.
  6. Well it seems all you have to do, to be super talented at football, is be named Dembele
  7. Your hope might be justified if we hadn't signed Morata for big money earlier. You know how Ben Franklin is quoted saying that the only things certain in life are death and taxes? You can add us not buying Belotti to that.
  8. I didn't dismiss anything, i don't even know what you're saying has to do with what I said. I can even completely understand what you're saying and I can see where you're coming from from your personal experiences and why you feel what you feel, but again it has nothing to do with what I was saying. You don't even try to understand me, it was obvious from the first judgemental sentence in your first response to me, and now you have resorted to insults from the top of your high horse. I am not interested in stooping to that level, if I did then this whole subject would snowball into an irrational pile of shit eventually with no relevance to the original point on which i was trying to focus. So that's the end of conversation. Don't bother replying to this, you won't get a response. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
  9. Mm okay, that's you, not me. What I said was that it was their choice and because of that I had no sympathy, those are simply facts. Doesn't mean I don't respect peoples' choices. I also didn't judge, I merely opposed DDA's view on the matter from my POV. But whatever, you choose to ignore what I'm saying anyway and instead try to hammer down your own sentimental views.. I'm not interested.
  10. I choose not to. Explain to me why you care so much if I have sympathy for something or not?
  11. More money, Champions League, chance to train and play with world class players and manager, much higher chance of racking up trophies. Normally when a big club comes calling for such mediocre players, they know it's a once in a lifetime chance for them and they take it for those reasons.
  12. You can't dictate to me in which cases I need to feel sympathy and in which I don't. Bottom line is those people have a choice, if they choose to be treated like shit while sacrificing their financial well-being for it, then I respect that choice, but don't come complaining and expecting sympathy from me. It's their choice to keep on feeding the machine that doesn't care about them. Key word being "choice". I reserve sympathy for people in more unfortunate circumstances, you might not, it's fine and I don't care, like you shouldn't either because everyone's values are different. Yet somewhy you chose to pass judgement on me in your armchair thousands of miles away after a 6 word post I made, you just need to learn to deal with different people with different mindsets in a global community.
  13. That's their own choice. No sympathy.
  14. Fucking get in! Excellent signing! He covers so many positions (both wings in defence and attack, central midfield). Super useful player to have, English international, potentially huge resale value. Can't say any bad words and even the reported fee (35m) is reasonable considering the circumstances.
  15. Happy birthday to Mr. Reliable! Can't imagine this team without him, he's like a guy who learned and took over the baton from the likes of JT and Lamps, top mentality.
  16. Well, every full-back is a failed winger you might say Nobody really wants to be a defender as a kid. Many center-backs are failed midfielders also, like JT for example (used to play CM in his youth, no?).
  17. Anybody noticed that rabona pass from Alonso against Everton? Guy got some tekkers, probably learned a thing or two from Hazard.
  18. I don't know how reliable it is, but TalkChelsea itself being the source just posted an exclusive. http://www.talkchelsea.net/transfers/chelsea-in-advanced-talks-to-sign-arsenal-winger-oxlade-chamberlain/ TC rarely post something like this, so there could be substance. I would like to think that Jim didn't rehash this from other papers, but who knows.
  19. Ox, Drinkwater, Llorente and I'm satisfied with the window. Don't forget that we still need to offload Remy and Costa. I have my doubts that Marina can pull off 5 major transfers in 3 days lol. We'll probably get Ox and call it a day, at least he can cover in 5 positions.
  20. Fair enough assessment. I don't have deep knowledge about Robbie's doings, I just enjoy watching it from time to time.
  21. Ox lowering his fee for us, love it.
  22. The fans make themselves look stupid, it's not like he edits those interviews to make them appear worse, everything is presented as is. And some of them do talk sensible stuff, like that old guy for example. Ty is the only one who is genuinely dumb and included only for the view count, but other than that if his videos make Arse fans look bad, it means they are bad. Fair play to Robbie, there are far worse and immoral ways to earn money.
  23. Why is everybody so sure about that? If we win the next game with Rüdi bossing yet again I'd be very surprised if we saw GC before an EFL cup game.
  24. Why would Conte change a winning formula though. Two games without Cahill, two wins. If we win the third one too, it would be odd if he changed anything.
