  1. Big emphasis on might. Hopefully yes but let the guy come in first and we will see what he’s all about. As long as he’s more than good enough he doesn’t have to be one of the very best considering he will likely be a back up/rotation player. I must admit though, I do like the profile in terms of his age and from what I’ve seen he has athleticism and decent technical attributes. Just hopeful that he finishes the season strong in France, comes here and isn’t overawed by the PL. Granted he won’t be first choice but there is definitely scope for a good bit of game time here I would think - although if it means moving James to DM like some people have suggested, I will be disappointed.
  2. Bit daft but I find it strange how the media and journalists always put “Chelsea believe they still have a chance of pulling this off” for player X Y or Z. Well I’d certainly fucking hope so or why else would we try sign them if we didn’t believe we could pull it off 🤣
  3. Jesus christ. Again…. 😂 the saga continues… again
  4. Mitoma what a finish. Has had TAA on toast all game, talk about composure there. Would it be fair to say De Zerbi is taking Brighton to another level? They look as if they’re getting better every time I see them.
  5. I honestly just think Nunez is just not clinical enough but if/more when that comes, he will score goals with ease. He always seems to always find himself in good positions and getting plenty of chances. Got decent enough pace for a big guy too so can be a threat in behind which I think suits Liverpools style. Whether or not he’s a 90m euro player or whatever they paid is a different story though. Not sure about what Gakpo could be but he looks pretty versatile. Was impressive at the World Cup but cant say he’s done much at Liverpool in the 2 or 3 games I’ve watched. But again some players hit the ground running some don’t, I think he looks physically like he can handle the PL and there is the odd glimpse of him taking the ball and beating men but no goals. Mane a big miss this season for them though regardless. If they get Bellingham in though it would be some signing. He’s be a key part of their MF for next 10+ seasons if he wanted to.
  6. Wouldn’t necessarily say they wont. Just because they’re looking for new investment means nothing conclusive as in they will sell or wont. They’ve spent big on Nunez, Van Dijk, Alisson, Diaz, Keita in the past to name a few. Yes there was the Coutinho sale also for VVD & Alisson but I don’t think its as if their owners will sell the club anytime soon and everyone knows Klopp is extremely set on Bellingham. Usually Klopp gets what he wants at Liverpool also. Bellingham doesn’t have a release clause so any club could structure a deal worth over £100m in a beneficial way that suits both parties regardless.
  7. If this pleb suggests RLC I am done with clicking on his shitty little articles.
  8. He has predominantly played on the right under Ancelotti, particularly in the bigger games and in Europe he goes for Kroos, Modric and Tchou as his 3. I don’t think this would stop them going for Bellingham. Plus hes already 24. He’s hardly a “future superstar” like Bellingham would be considered, FV is already a very good player who should be coming into his prime football in 2 or 3 seasons. Plus on Bellingham he is totally different to all 3 of them players. So why would they not go for him? Also they’ve got Ceballos in the squad still and have had to play a lot more this season due to injuries. You telling me Madrid are going to keep/not pursue Bellingham if the opportunity arises? City is another good shout also but I think Liverpool is the most ideal move for him out of the 3. Just seems to suits him as a player and he’s exactly what their missing, a physically imposing midfielder who has the ability to drive a team forward and contribute more offensively.
  9. Perhaps but its same thing at Liverpool. Slots opening up and they’ll be back on track next season I’d think. Plus he’s English and I think he will fancy going to the PL after being in Germany, he would still be young enough too to move again in 5 or 6 years if he wanted. Liverpool will be back on track next season 100%. More so they sign Bellingham and if they get a few others. Plus Nunez is gonna score a lot more next year I think.
  10. Not sure though, Liverpool and Madrid both in the market for Bellingham. He can only go one place and I don’t think any would flinch at paying €150m for Enzo Fernandez either in the summer. If he is going to be that sort of level of player who is exceptional for the next 10+ years. I am actually surprised Madrid haven’t been linked with Kroos apparently considering retiring this summer and Modric’s age. Also if nobody will go for him at €150m then why would anybody go for him at €120m? Its not a huge difference, its £26m or something. Begs the question, is he really that good? He looked pretty good for Argentina but is he going to be one of the top level elite elite midfield players? Also I dont buy those taxes stories, just seems like utter nonsense. Never heard of it for any other transfer.
  11. That will mean Benfica are going to have to offer Enzo Ferdnandez a new deal then. Only way they can do it legally, or so you would think. Wouldn't be surprised if they gave him a pay rise as well plus the bonus and a higher release clause. He would probably accept it too considering his antics when he scored that goal after our fucked up pursuit of him, indicating he was staying so I wonder if they’re gonna sweeten the deal for him by doing that and also cover their own arse in the summer. Regardless, someone will still pay €150m for him in the summer.
  12. Hopefully Todd Boehly & co buy Doc & Marty McFlys DeLorean so we can go back 8-10 years and get a younger Thiago Silva. He has been nothing short of outstanding since being here but I have a real feeling that next season will be his last. Either he will retire or a go for a year back in Brazil.
  13. As long as he hasnt been/isn’t rushed back, he should be fine. Same with Reece. Potter starting RJ after that lay off was absolutely incredibly naive. Bring him on second half, don’t start him. Hopefully they take a more careful approach with Chilly. Bleed him into games to build his match fitness.
  14. Well how did we manage to win the CL with him as a key player who delivered big performances and big contributions in key games if he is that bad 😂 The whole point of these posts have been comparing Mount to Gallagher in terms of keeping them/who would accept what squad roles/their wages/value etc so if your going then going to bring up Saka and Foden in comparison to Mount quality wise then why can’t I bring Gallagher up who we are originally comparing to Mount? Your logic here is baffling.
  15. The best squads have the best players though. I mean listen to yourself. Do you think at City Stones, Dias, Laporte accept not playing every week? Do you think Grealish, Mahrez, Foden, Silva accept not playing every week? Do you think ANY top player accepts not playing every week? The ones who are under 30 and are willing to sit on the bench/rarely play are the worst ones because they don’t ever go on to achieve anything as they never push themselves. Hence why RLC has never ever kicked on, he should have left the club permanently years ago but he would rather sit, have maybe 6-8 starts a season and make £150k a week. Nkunku coming in also means its doubtful Felix will stay IMO, because again, unless we sell Mount why would he stay? Nkunku and Felix are both 10s/second strikers. Why spend 63m on Nkunku only to go and spend 70-80m on Felix in the summer (although who knows with Boehly)? I mean the Felix staying logic is coming from people seeming to think we wont try sign a CF in the summer also, which we likely will. Also Felix has played 45 mins for Chelsea so lets see how the next 5 months play out, his career is still very much up in the air in terms of his consistency, he’s not done a great deal the past 2 season. Proven right? Why because Connor did good in the championship? Then had a good season at Palace? Didn’t Loftus-Cheek also do good at Palace and barring 12 weeks here struggle/not do anything of note? Yes he was selected for the World Cup but he was a surprise selection I think thats fair to say. Ruben also went to the 2018 WC after a good season with Palace too and again was a surprise selection, so does that mean anything? And hows that 6 months struggling excuse not the same for Mount then (not like we’ve particularly great or consistent when he’s been in the team barring a good spell with Tuchel) and also again, Mount had a good season in the championship with Derby prior to being integrated here 🤣 Honestly it just seems as if the excuse suits for some but not others. 6 PL starts or not, it is clear to see he is not ready/good enough to play for Chelsea. That much is clear. You just have some sort of agenda against Mount. Clearly. And the money logic is even more stupid, the club isn’t going to evaporate into thin air if we give Mason around the same wages Reece got, or a bit more, is it? 🤣 I mean we’ve got guys like CHO and RLC on 150k a week, Koulibaly is apparently on nearly 300k a week, Sterlings on 325k a week apparently, Lukaku was on 325k a week. But he is considerably better? How is it weird to say? CG looks like a rabbit in the headlights playing for us. He might run about but his personality and technical ability on the ball, he is well out of his depth. I mean playing well for Palace means nothing, look at RLC he had a “good season” there hows his career fared? He might come good true eventually true but Mount, who had double figure goals and assists last season, is a much better player. Not sure how its even a debate. And again, funny you mention the English youngsters at City/Arsenal, Mount is much closer to them than Connor is ability wise and always will be.
  16. Why keep the worst player though? By your logic be may as well keeping Ruben and selling both Mason and Connor? The club should keep the better player, regardless of who is willing to accept a role/not likely to play as often/whatever, which is Mount (and when I say better I mean quite considerably better and has shown he can play at a higher level). Can’t believe people are talking about selling Mason. Bit flabbergasted. Yes he’s had a poor season but he’s been one of our best players the last 2 or 3 seasons. You just want us to keep him because for about 4 years you were saying he is much better than Mount and now he’s proven he is anything but (in fact he’s not even remotely close to being on his level albeit a different type of player) but now you think we should still keep him? I don’t know what to make of that…
  17. Huge? I hope your taking the piss… hes Klopp’s ideal 8/10 hybrid I would say. But never mind. If they get Bellingham, would be a bad bad bad move from us to sell them Mount also.
  18. Lets hope not. Would be an absolute travesty. And Potter would undoubtedly try him out too as he’s never worked with him, if Rom wanted to stay.
  19. The thing is, we need a suitable RWB back up now. Although I suppose with RJ back in training AND IF we don’t rush him back too soon like last time, maybe allowing Gusto to see the season out isn’t the worst idea in the world. Its not great but not the worst. Granted he keeps playing and they don’t do a Dortmund-Pulisic on us.
  20. Biggest asset? Is it just me or does anyone else not really see the potential with this kid Gordon? I mean his numbers and performances are very very bad. Granted Everton not been good in any way shape or form, but he doesn’t even stick out in a bad Everton team. I don’t get how any club could justify paying £40m plus for somebody who has played 16 games this season and has 3 goals. As well, take into consideration his antics the last few days, first and foremost he’s a local lad at his boyhood club who are are struggling? Plus he’s not even contributed, made it as a fully fledged footballer or done anything relative in the game to have the right to miss 2 or 3 days of training to try force through a move. If he had scored say 5-10 goals this season and looked well too good for them and that team, you could maybe see why he’s having to do that/doing it/wanting to leave - but he hasn't and he doesn’t have enough skin in the game. 7 PL goals in 58 games the last 2 seasons for Everton then 8 goals in 90 games his whole club career. Throw in another 6 goals in 27 caps for England u18 to 21. I dont see how anybody is willing to pay £40m + £5 in add ons like Newcastle have agreed. I mean he probably won’t even start for them? I am glad its not us getting him though although wait and see Boehly probably go match their bid now.
  21. He was originally offered alongside Ziyech and someone else as the 3 guys on loan plus €85m IIRC. Maybe they don’t think he’s up to much? Or just not interested.
  22. “Renegotiating and offering players on loan” For the love of god, when will they learn 🤣 Lets try do something again which they rejected the first time and after they have publicly announced several times they will only accept the release clause for the player. Also if Arsenal get Caicedo for £60m fair play good value considering the inflation in the PL market. Never worth £100m but doubt either of us gonna get him this window.
  23. No its more the fact the original context was meant in a wider sense yet you took it as if it was personal. As if to say “no you are wrong, I posted about Mudryck in September, look *quote from date XX/YY/ZZZZ*” when I meant our fanbase as a whole in regards to not really wanting/discussing/wishing about signing the player in the summer or even remotely in the run up to January until it came very much apparent we were interested…. But if you want to take it personally again then ok.
  24. Ok maybe you were the only one…... Not the point but this isn’t the first time Ive seen you digging up your old posts from whenever to try prove a point/make yourself look like some sort of footballing know it all, when my context was more in a wider sense. He was never ever somebody the club were remotely linked with or had an apparent interest in in the summer. The move came around very quickly. In January, this month, after Arsenal spent a whole half a season looking at/making a move for him…
  25. Ziyech much much more athletic than Mata ever was. Onana now? Wtaf is going on. He is fucking shite….. Also rumours now that Kai Havertz is gonna leave if we don’t get CL football. Absolutely ironic. Hes been fucking woeful for nearly 2 seasons now. Sell at first opportunity. Please.
