“Set to be fit to start” they said that last time. Ease him back in FFS. Amateur hour if he starts and doesn’t come through it like last time. Was already amateurish GP started him last time without bleeding him back into the team gradually, would be utterly fucking ridiculous if he did it again.

If we get Enzo over the line alongside the other signings we’ve made this window, we HAVE to see some sort of improvement from the team under him now. Not saying we will make top 4 but top 6 surely has to be a guarantee this season now for the financial outlay and players that have come in. Would be the same for any other manager so can’t be any different for Graham Potter.
-
No way we get Enzo and Caicedo. Would be madness. But hey ho who knows. Personally think Caicedo is good but not worth more than 50m
-
Argument/fall out because he told him he would be benched v Arsenal apparently. Some deal for Bayern what a player he is
-
U21s dont need to be registered though so would imagine Carney, Hall and Broja would be exempt and would free up spaces? Although they could still be registered if the club wanted to Was also talks we didn’t want to deal with Newcastle for Ziyech because they are in direct competition for top 4 with us (although their miles ahead of us)….. so wouldn’t bet on a move to NUFC being a sure thing yet
-
Hes apparently already turned them down. Was reported last week he wanted to stay and fight for his place as opposed to go to Everton or Newcastle.
-
Already got Rico Lewis and Kyle Walker there which is apparently why they were keen to let him go. More LB their struggling with although Ake has done well, wouldn’t be surprised if they prioritised a more natural left footed LB as I think Gomez has struggled to convince them. But again not many of them out there, maybe they’re a bit regretful letting Zinchenko go.
-
Is it? Didn’t realise ending so soon but even then, still doesn't rule it out but makes it more unlikely.
-
Wouldn't even bother hugely about the buyback but I’d imagine the new regime may see that as a good idea. Same with CHO maybe if he goes in the summer?
-
Dyce in at Everton, 2.5 year deal. Actually think this is the best appointment Everton have made in a long long time, he will cut the bullshit and get rid of the big boys in there who aren’t performing. Has shown at times with Burnley he can get them punching above their weight and I do remember there was an 12-18 months where they were a pretty solid team who played some alright stuff considering his reputation. Lack of investment killed them and his chances of improving that though. Suppose we will see what he can do with more cash at Everton if he keeps them up.

£50m? We’re never going to get an offer as good as £40m upfront + 5m add ons for him ever again FFS unless he plays every game and turns into some sort of very good player in the second half of the season 😂 Just sell him for that, would be a very very good deal for us. Plus we have an overbloated squad as it is, trying to get another £5m for someone who isn’t ready to play at this level or been regular here is just asking for trouble when you take into consideration he came through the academy too so its not like we aren’t making a huge profit. Asking for more just risks Everton walking away. I don’t think anybody would pay £50m for Connor.
-
Yeah. We can’t keep persisting with these types of players as our main striking options. Nkunku isnt a CF. Felix isnt a CF. We’ve had a number 10 upfront for almost 2.5 years now and he hasn’t done enough. Werner even played through the middle at times with Frank, again, ill fitted. Someone who is more of a recognised striker is a must at some point if we are serious about winning trophies. Obviously the hardest position to buy in but we have to get someone who fits that mould. Obviously has to be the right player but where is the goals coming from in this team? This season? We needed a striker last summer. We still need one. Nkunku and Felix aren’t strikers. Fofana is a CF but is he ready?
-
Not sure what anyone expects, been blatantly clear all window its the £106m upfront or nothing for them. Wouldn't matter if we offered 130-150m in installation clearly they want all of the money in one go. Believing otherwise is setting yourself up for a fail, I mean if people think we can swindle a deal regardless of the amount and have it broken down/more favourable in terms of how much is paid at the beginning, they are dreaming 😂 I think Boehly & co are wasting their time at this rate, the reported offer is always sum X in instalments. Its almost as if their completely ignoring Benfica. Porto, Benfica and Sporting always look after themselves.
-
Cancelo going Bayern on loan, apparently already accepted terms. Also Barca are eyeing up Felix in the summer.
-
Hes more of a number 10/second striker though. He plays with a more traditional 9 in Andre Silva. Having only played a handful of games for Leipzig as the main striker in the Bundesliga I don't think he will be our main striker. He hasnt played there at all in the CL either hes always played off the front man. I think us using him as a 9 is just going to lead to more frustration in all honesty, like Havertz presently and even lining up with Hazard as a false 9 in the past.
-
Lets hope then. It’ll be tight though if their gonna dick about with structure again on our end. I don’t know what the FFP implications of just paying €120m upfront is but surely if it comes to it they’ll do it?
-
Hopefully it does go ahead. Be intrigued to see how he would fare in the PL after seeing him at the World Cup. I do think they’ll be wanting the full sum though. Or the deals gonna be something like €80/100m upfront, €40/20m in add ons to make it up to and a player on loan or something daft. Theres no way they weaken their stance now on the 30th after being so tough throughout the month. @Mhsc ultimately if he doesn’t get his move he’ll still end up playing for Benfica to the summer and they’d say then you can go. Its not often you hear of players at Benfica players falling out with their managers/board/president after not getting a move. I mean their whole business model is on flipping a profit so I would imagine that the player will be fine and the club will still use him. I think if you look back at them historically the last 15-20 years they’ve always sold at the right time also. Another big reason behind them not selling in January for less than the clause is because their still competing in the CL, in the title race and domestic cups IIRC.
-
Apparently its the structure thats an issue with it as well. Same thing that may happen to us with Enzo 😂 I wonder if Benfica holding out for their clause in full has influenced Sporting.
-
I thought Benfica’s whole insistence was on selling if the clause was paid and in full? Are we really gonna go to the wire trying to negotiate a structured deal for the same fee? I can smell heartbreak. Unfortunately. If we don’t get him how much outrage is their gonna be that we didn’t pay the fucking clause in a oner 😂
-
Big emphasis on might. Hopefully yes but let the guy come in first and we will see what he’s all about. As long as he’s more than good enough he doesn’t have to be one of the very best considering he will likely be a back up/rotation player. I must admit though, I do like the profile in terms of his age and from what I’ve seen he has athleticism and decent technical attributes. Just hopeful that he finishes the season strong in France, comes here and isn’t overawed by the PL. Granted he won’t be first choice but there is definitely scope for a good bit of game time here I would think - although if it means moving James to DM like some people have suggested, I will be disappointed.
-
Bit daft but I find it strange how the media and journalists always put “Chelsea believe they still have a chance of pulling this off” for player X Y or Z. Well I’d certainly fucking hope so or why else would we try sign them if we didn’t believe we could pull it off 🤣
-
Jesus christ. Again…. 😂 the saga continues… again
-
Mitoma what a finish. Has had TAA on toast all game, talk about composure there. Would it be fair to say De Zerbi is taking Brighton to another level? They look as if they’re getting better every time I see them.
-
I honestly just think Nunez is just not clinical enough but if/more when that comes, he will score goals with ease. He always seems to always find himself in good positions and getting plenty of chances. Got decent enough pace for a big guy too so can be a threat in behind which I think suits Liverpools style. Whether or not he’s a 90m euro player or whatever they paid is a different story though. Not sure about what Gakpo could be but he looks pretty versatile. Was impressive at the World Cup but cant say he’s done much at Liverpool in the 2 or 3 games I’ve watched. But again some players hit the ground running some don’t, I think he looks physically like he can handle the PL and there is the odd glimpse of him taking the ball and beating men but no goals. Mane a big miss this season for them though regardless. If they get Bellingham in though it would be some signing. He’s be a key part of their MF for next 10+ seasons if he wanted to.
-
Wouldn’t necessarily say they wont. Just because they’re looking for new investment means nothing conclusive as in they will sell or wont. They’ve spent big on Nunez, Van Dijk, Alisson, Diaz, Keita in the past to name a few. Yes there was the Coutinho sale also for VVD & Alisson but I don’t think its as if their owners will sell the club anytime soon and everyone knows Klopp is extremely set on Bellingham. Usually Klopp gets what he wants at Liverpool also. Bellingham doesn’t have a release clause so any club could structure a deal worth over £100m in a beneficial way that suits both parties regardless.
