The so called superstar tactic doesn't always work well. I think you need to look for a balance in terms ambitious younger hungry players and experienced heads. Mourinho did this well at Chelsea, there were the more obvious players who he signed/were at the club and the players who we might of thought were a gamble/less known to the fans. Mourinho took them and turned them into superstars. They were obviously ambitious players hence why they were so successful under Jose. I think when a team has that balance with some experience and a lot of ambitious, hungry, younger players they can go far in terms of success. Also they need a great coach like Jose/Carlo/Del Bosque/Sir Alex too. Do you also know how stupid Real are letting go of Makalele? Lol basically proves my theory about the global superstars tactic.
