Don't know why people are bashing AVB, he could easily turn Spurs into a class team and be successful(sadly). A fair amount of the players at Spurs are more suited to his philosophy than the squad he had to work with here. Especially if he keeps Modric, who is brilliant technically (AND wasted in that fucking awful 4-4-2 shit Redknapp played) and Bale who is a good winger, with pace and strength. If he can build the team around them 2 with good players who knows how far he could go? Still Andre is going to turn Spurs down hopefully....... well after the way he was treated here he probably wont.

He's 21 and looking to break in to the Spanish national team against the likes of Arbaloa and Ramos(who will play CB for Spain when Puyol retires likely) so why would he sit on the bench and play half the games he would usually play in France? Anyway Piszczek is meant to be class, not seem him much but I was impressed enough with how he played in the 3 games. Looked great going forward and is actually for once, one of the only right fullbacks who is equally as good at defending as well as going forward! There are reports hes Real Madrid bound so if we are to try and get him we must try and hijack this deal....

Yeah depends really but Newcastle pulled of 3 good deals using scouting to their advantage, Cabaye, Ba and Cisse. Imagine if we could pull deals similar to that for fees as low as they were. In fact Ba was a free. Cabaye was 4.5 million or something and look at how good he has been and Cisse was 9 million and scored 13 goals in 15 games or something.
