Tiote is nothing like Makelele or Essien... why do people make such comparisons...?
-
Would be a great number 2, better than Turnshit and oldman Hilario!
-
Lampard was not great today. He was ill disciplined and doing his usual, pushing up the whole time exposing the space in front of the back four. Don't see why the wankfest over Lampard tonight, he wasn't as good as everyone makes out. De Bruyne needs more time to become adept as a CM and Josh still needs 2-3 years worth of regular football or something like that. Pjanic fits the bill. Experienced in CM, wouldn't think it either supposing hes only 22 or 23. Can play the deep midfield role next to a defensive player. Imagine Pjanic and Mikel in the pivot, would be excellent.

JUST DO IT ALREADY ROMAN DO ITTTTTTTTTTTTTTT SPLASH THE CASH ON HIM DO ITTTTTTTT!

Like fighting and all that sort of shit I'd imagine. Leeds fans are mutants anyway, its a well known fact. Hope we smash them at least 3-0.

Good article SeB, obviously I had a read earlier just thought I'd comment on it now as I was back home. Hopefully this will make people see some of the cons about signing Felliaini as well as the pluses compared to certain players we have, well Rami and Mikel. Still against him signing, especially for 30 million.
-
I'd actually say thats quite accurate tbh.
-
Honestly stop being a cock and just shut up. You're arguing against everything I say for the sakes of it. I don't know if you watched Chelsea in 2004-05 and 2005-06 but Robben and Duff did a lot of hard work defensively. Spike said it a few pages back that Robben was very different back in the day and he was, at Real he seemed to stay up the pitch rather than come back and then from there he didn't defend as often.
-
I was on about the roles, I know the quality of both pairs isn't the same. Robben and Duffs defensive work back in the days is also extremely underrated I see. Mourinhos teams were always defending as a unit, Inter defended deep as a unit, Chelsea did, Porto did and the only team really that hasn't is really his Real Madrid side. Just because certain players weren't groomed in tracking back and defensive work, doesn't mean they should have to avoid it, if your two wingers aren't tracking back that gives the opposition a whole load of space to expose as the full back has two players to deal with. He can either go with their full back if he overlaps or go to the player with the ball to prevent a cross/dribble to cut inside or ultimately stand still like a spare prick allowing one of them things I just said to happen.
-
I never said they would ever be as good but that they have the same fucking roles! Which they do basically. If you try and deny that you're crazy. Mikel was signed to be groomed to replace Maka imo and Ramires probably signed to be groomed to be a replacement for Essien too imo due to their similar physical and technical attributes. There are differences in quality but they are in the team to effectively do the same roles. I think you totally misunderstood what I wrote...
-
Ramires and Mikel should effectively balance the team then because they play the same roles as Essien and Makalele. Ramires in Essiens role (box to box) and Mikel in Maka's role (defensive mid). You have to defend as a unit, the whole team, whether thats everyone behind the ball, pressing the other team to try and force them back and win the ball back or whatever.

Two new strikers and a CM = good January! Also on Anderson, Fergie tried turning him into a box to box midfielder I think rather than the attacking midfielder he was before, basically restricted him and he got injured a lot. Can be blamed on poor use of the player and maybe unluckiness too. Think it won't be long before Pogba ends up back in the PL, can see someone eventually wanting him whether its United, City, us (linked with him last January actually), Arseholes or Spuds. Just depends on whether Juve dry up like Milan/Inter in recent years.
-
I still can't believe how much Fergie fucked up Anderson, he could have been such a good player compared to what he is now. Hes now average because Fergie restricted him really. Also look at Paul Pogba at Juventus now, hes excelling, Fergie wouldn't give him a look in to try and nurture his talent because he thought Darren "shit and extremely overrated" Fletcher and Tom "Englands Cesc Fabergas ROFL at Roy Hodgsons comparison" Cleverely were better options in his opinion at CM, especially in a team needing a physical presence in midfield too, I mean honestly what the fuck. Nani should have been a bit better but hes become a greedy bastard and has attitude issues.
-
Our fullbacks were horribly exposed under AVB due to no tracking back from either Juan or Danny. This was well documented last season! His finishing isn't great compared to a few strikers as he fails to score relatively easy chances. He put harder chances away and then fluffed easier ones. Yes its just a rumor but one I've read several times so surely they must be repeating that for a reason no, surely he must have some sort of attitude problem? Surely their must be some sort of source or hard facts behind it!
-
Yes Mata and Hazard also leave our fullbacks exposed its ridiculous. I don't like Sturridge as a player, hes overrated, arrogant and doesn't warrant a starting role as a CF at Chelsea (neither does Torres, I've been saying we need two top strikers for a while). He would be a good winger(inside forward kind) if he made better decisions and worked much harder instead of being lazy. His finishing isn't great. Apparently he has attitude problems etc.
-
Exactly. Hit the nail on the head. Everyone was fighting for each other and performing reasonably well then Sturridge was just doing sweet fuck all. Remember that 0-0 Arsenal game, if he had his "pass" head screwed on he could have squared the ball for Mata or Torres I think for a tap in and we would have likely won 1-0...
-
Yes his injuries have prevented him from playing as a CF this year sometimes but the games he was fit and didn't start made me wonder: does Robbie have no faith in him or does he lack commitment in training or just not cut out to be a top 4 club CF? I over exaggerated the bit about the interviews maybe but he has said it a few times. Hes not a ball hogg as in a guy who always has the ball but as in such but he makes ridiculous decisions like instead of playing a simple pass he takes extra touches trying to do it himself - perhaps being over ambitious - kind of ball hogg. I think a lot of us would like to see him work for the team more, especially since hes usually on the wings and our fullbacks are constantly exposed, he needs to do the dirty work rather than make half a challenge and leave it to the others thinking "they will tackle him its ok". Fans love that sort of players, players who are always fighting for the team, give 110% each game etc. I don't think Sturridge is that sort of player. You seen Drogba constantly battling away at CBs when the team was struggling and trying to get up the pitch, most recently that two Barca games, the Valencia game in the group stages and the game vs Bayern. He was immense, did everything, won nearly every aerial battle, closed down CBs whenever he could, got back and cleared corners, everything you'd want. The games Danny started he was very poor in all honesty as well. That WBA game his finishing was actually ridiculous, could have scored at least 3 goals himself but fluffed his chances. Don't get me started on Torres though, I've nearly punched televisions with rage over how shit he is at finishing. That Capital One Cup game vs United Danny wasn't much better, right enough he scored but apart from that did very little.
-
Yeah but its not always about talent. If Sturridge had the attitude to work willingly for his team like Fabio does or the attitude to try and improve different aspects of him game etc he'd be further ahead. Daniel just seems to prefer to tell the press he'd like to play as a CF then basically hog the ball constantly on the pitch and do nothing for the team. You don't see Sturridge running up and pressing the opposition when they have the ball or tracking back to help his full back.
-
How is it laugh worthy? Suarez is one of the best players in the PL if you like it or not. Hes miles better than Sturridge. Its been proven. I rate Borini higher than Sturridge too, hes a much better all-round player who puts in a shift every game unlike Sturridge who only tries when he has the ball. Basically in the words of the great SeB Sturridge is a ball wanker.
-
He looks good, honestly we need to convince him to sign for us. We have the Hazard's (Thogan & Eden also wouldn't be surprised if we don't get Kylian in the next few years), Kevin De Bruyne, Thibaut Courtois, Romelu Lukaku and the Musonda's. Also we're linked with Fellaini in Jan. Surely a big pull factor.
-
Sturridge won't play as a no. 9 for Liverpool. Suarez is three times the player he is so if he really wants to play regularly as a number 9 he can forget it at Liverpool haha. Also I'd say Borini is a better striker than Sturridge.

If Neymar wants to become a legend he needs to leave Brazil. Not even Neymar and his ridiculous blonde beard is that stupid. He wanted to stay until he was ready for Europe I'm guessing.
-
Actually Neymar wanted to stay in Brazil until the 2014 WC which is why the transfer negotiations with the 5 clubs were canceled. Also Hulk is shit and overrated so who cares about him. Hes playing pish at Zenit and he cost them 40-50 million, imagine the bother we'd have had if we signed another 40 million + player and he played that shit.
-
Remember when we signed Hulk and Neymar? Oh wait... yeah..... same as that.
-
Have you got any youtube video links of him or that? Never seen him play but I'm sure I've seen an article linking him with Citeh.
