He's 100% gone, if he wants to go... he will go. Club never stands in players way if they don't want to stay ie. Matic, Oscar, Ramires, Costa, Courtois etc...

Tbf Klopp and Pep were insistent with their styles/philosophies and didnt get results at first but got there eventually with major upgrades more than being 'flexible". I mean Pep spent about 350m on full backs, centre backs and goalkeepers while keeping the same philosophy because the previous ones werent for his philosophy. Klopp spent big money on van Dijk, Alisson, Salah, Keita, Mane etc too. If City and Liverpool can give them a season or 2 to break in then why cant we? At least the club and Sarri have recognised our attack is letting us down. It is about time they do something about it.
-
Yeah I know but its quite embarrassing that people expected him to come in and instantly change everything after making only 3 signings really, Kepa, Jorginho and Kovacic. Took him a proper full season at Napoli before they were anywhere near to half of what he got them to. Scolari and AVB are similar cases but the plug was arguably pulled on them early too, its no surprise that whenever we try to change to a more offensive minded team that the manager ends up getting the boot eventually and the board end up putting us backwards by scrapping the project again. From where we were under Conte at times last season to now, its probably not even 25% of what Sarri will undoubtly want from us because there still is so much more to improve.
-
All fair and well saying if he ends up with that amount but hypothetical again which means nothing. Decent player, liked him under Sampoli at Seville along with Correa but I doubt we'd be after him, hes better equipped for a club like a Sevilla, in that same bracket, not top top level but a high level but again I dont think he would be one we will go for anyway.
-
Think its fair to say the panic buttons been pressed. Lol Pulisic not even here to the summer and already written off too it seems. Meltdown FC back in action! And anyone who expected a easy ride under Sarri clearly been smoking something stupid, particularly after the 2 bad seasons we had after winning the league under better more experienced managers with totally contrasting styles.

Think massively regressed is a bit of an overstatement. He is a good player, many here at the start of the season rated him as one of the best in his position in the PL etc so I find it hard to believe hes massively regressed even when not playing as well as he has before. He loses the ball every now and then but he was doing that at the start of the season too. We were just brainless in the final third to Cesc got involved. See a lot of things about relying on Hazard but the amount of pointless backheels and flicks he did tonight that conceded possession pissed me off more than Jorginhos perfromance in particular, half of them were needless. We can keep the ball well in the middle third but him, Ruben and Barkley 2nd half were very ineffective and made the wrong decision at times in the final third. Morata as well although unfortunate for his goal offered little. Id be more concerned with the bluntness of our attack than the base of midfield at the moment. Kante again showing everyone he is more than just a destroyer again. Id be more concerned if Kante was to leave this summer.
-
Fabregas came in and instantly was more creative or decisivie maybe a better word than Ruben, Barkley, Hazard, Willian, Morata in the final third... and yet he has nothing to offer...
-
Kante best player for us so far.
-
100% agree. I find him in a similar place to Pirlo when he left Milan, not to disrespect Pirlo but he left Milan a "spent force" or so if he played for us he'd be considered that. The right team around Cesc and hed still be a really good midfield player. He has the technique and intelligenc, just in our team which is quite open and vunerable defensively he and Jorginho are extremely exposed. I think his passing range is still better than Jorginhos too. Not sure if he will ever be a 6 but as an 8 in a team with plenty of legs to mask his physical issues, a bit of freedom and runners hed be good still.

So sell to an elite club like Bayern... do people honestly expect them to accept a buy back clause in any deal 😂 this is Bayern Munich we are talking about, not Ingolstad or Mainz or whoever. Get real. Also give Pulisic a chance if he comes in, its embarrassing hes been written off already but hey that is Chelsea fans I suppose.
-
Regarding CHO, Id only be concerned if he was actually a regular feature yes but hes not and probably will be off in Jan or the summer anyways. And your right, Pulisic is a RW player more than left wing, Willian and Pedro should be more concerned.
-
Ffs Martinez stop talking shite hes better as a winger why would he want to reinvent himself as a 9. Hes only played as a 9 because we dont have better players there.
-
Typical isnt it 😂 would be good to see folk willing to give him a chance if we do get him... undoubtly a talented player.
-
Suarez was 24 when he joined Liverpool, having played over 150 games and scored over 100 goals in Dutch football as well as being a regular international player. A lot more experienced and consistent than both Depay and Lozano.
-
Have to admit. This guy has been very impressive so far. Calm with the ball. Great shot stopper. Still young too.
-
Unfortunately its something we will have to do, if Hazard stays or goes. Cant see us signing a high profile player in his prime in that position. We will need to buy a work in progress. Pepe is overrated. Lozano has had more consistency as has Thorgan. Its positions that need to be filled.
-
Depends on the set up too though. Hence why Kante doesnt play as a 6 here but as an 8, he'd play as an 8 at City too and not as a 6. Fernandinho is better suited as a DM in a Pep or Sarri team. Better at building the game from deeper positions. In terms of tackles, interceptions etc I agree Kante truimphs Fernandinho.
-
True but I think Pulisic has the potential to be a very good player. Harsh to write him off as average aged 20, in a season where they arent playing him because hes not interested in renewing/looking to move. If Sancho wasnt flying either hed be considered a lot better. When Sancho tails off, as alot of young players do due to fatigue/loss of form, the Pulisic is a good player train will start again. I would say for 32m Willian has done alright since coming in, I never expected him to be a player who would score 15 plus a season from out wide but weve won 2 PLs, 1 league cup, 1 FA cup when hes been here. Now he needs improved upon, has done for 2-3 seasons in my eyes but I doubt we will get a 20 goals a season right winger and even if we do, it doesnt automatically mean we will be a better team for it. Has to be a player who is creative and can score goals.
-
You obviously have to give players time to adjust and he's doing just that. I'd still stay clear due to any fee West Ham would command after paying £30m themselves. True. I think if he maintains his form, come March he will be in Brazil national team squad selection. Plus West Ham paying 36m upfront and another 5m or 6m in bonuses over his contract means we need to spend at least at 50 or 60m in my eyes to make them consider sellingm
-
45m is a good deal. A lot better than 60/70m.
-
He was largely inconsistent for Lazio and even at the start for West Ham. Showed glimpses but now hes got like 7 goals in 9 games so obviously improving/on a hot run, worth considering but he plays left side more i think.
-
Not going to lie, Fernandinho started off at City looking overrated to me but under Pep he has been fantastic. Positionally his game has come on, I'd say hes probably one of the top midfield players in the PL. City lack something when he doesnt play. They will miss him when he leaves or retires too because hes early 30s and wont be at the top level for that much longer. I think its fair to say Fernandinho is as important to City as Kante was to us and Leicester in those PL wins. They arent maybe the most like for like players now that Kante and him ha e changed/adapted their games but their both pretty high on the list of MF players in the PL.

The term tracking is pointless. Its all hypothetical to say player x or player y will scorr this because hes got this so far. The only guys you could argue that works for are the Messis, Ronaldos, Neymars, Griezmanns, Cavanis, Zlatans etc who score with such regularity over the period of so many seasons in a row. Nelson and Sancho are getting the same sort of hype Pulisic got when he broke into the Dortmund team. Also comparing strikers like Cutrone, Cunha, to wingers is pointless. Comparing Havertz primarily a number 10 to a winger whos been frozen out because he wont renew, again, pointless. Hes not worth 70M, so what, not many players are. Your continuously talking about Pepe from Lille who is valued at more (72m) but is just as average if not less of a player, albeit being older. The markets fucked. Not many teams get real value for money anymore across the board. All im saying is when Sterling broke onto the scene at Liverpool his numbers were poor for 2 seasons but look how good he is. Pulisic isnt as good a talent but in a certain team with coaching would be an excellent player.
-
Not convinced by him fully. Decent player but predictable, always trying to come inside, little variation. Not ready for a top top club in my opinion. The Dembele comparison surely goes as far as his playing style (although Dembele can play both wings, play with both feet excellently, provide assists and score), doesnt have the ability Dembele showed at Rennes and Dortmund. Wouldnt be surprised if he remained in France for another season after this one and people think Pulisic for 60m is expensive, 72m for this guy is madness.

Well 10 of each is a good return for Eden but the way he started, its frustrating because he went on a run of not scoring in however many weeks after scoring 8 goals at the beginning, he could have had a lot more. This inconsistencies infront of goal have always been an issue for him. Its not all what his games about but to become the best player in the world, which is now his goal surely, it has to improve.
