  1. I am pretty sure de bruyn will be going on loan next season so we can take him out of the equation. Let's weigh up our options for each position assuming we sing Hulk and let go of Kalou Bos Essien and Malouda: ST: Torres, Danny, Hulk RW: Hulk Marin Danny Rambo CAM: Mata Hazard Raul (for extreme cases only) LW: Hazard Ramires Marin Kakuta (I don't want him sent on loan) CM: Mikel Romeu Lamps Raul Josh ( if not sent on another loan) RB: Iva Hutch CB: Terry Luiz Cahil Iva LB: Cole Bertrand Honestly, if we do sign Hulk, I'd only buy another RB to rotate with Iva. Modric or Anyone else would be an absolute luxury buy.
  2. Yes I was thinking that he'd be perfect for the role that Lamps played this season in the 4-2-3-1. Though I was thinking more of De Bruyne and Mikel/Romeu.
  3. It's not about who's available but rarther what we need. With the Hulk deal likely happening, do we need another forward? As for modric, we needed him when we were planing on playing 4-3-3 which I don't see us going back to with the signings we've made. We don't need him now.
  4. Yes I've heard about this many times, I'm pretty sure it is true. So now if Hazard is really getting 200K it would like we're actually paying him 225K since we'd have to increase Terry's wages by 25K as well.
  5. ^^ I think Kevin's future is at CM. He has the vision, passing skills, and defensive abilities to be great there. I haven't watched him for full 90 mins excpet against us, so I can't judge his positional and tactical awareness yet.
  6. Doesn't Terry have that "highest paid player" clause or something? I'm pretty sure Torres and Terry are on the same wages.
  7. It looks like the Olympics are going to fuck up our pre-season But I'm happy for Danny, hope that gives him some momentum going into the new season.
  8. I just love the air of arrogance about Robbie. Every one is singing "One Di Matteo" and he's just sitting there smiling looking like
  9. Agreed. If we are going to loan him, we should do so from the start of the season. It's very difficult to break into a team in mid season.
  10. I hope he impresses during pre-season so he can get a chance to get league football with us. But my point was , can we afford to take the risk of another loan? This stage of his development is crucial, we can't keep getting it wrong.
  11. But a loan is always at a risk of turning into something similar to what happened at Swansea and would be a total waste of time.
  12. 35m + 115k/week? Still too much if you ask me.
  13. looks good. If we do get him he will be joining a group of exceptionally talanted youngsters here.
  14. If we do sell Essien he should stay. He can come off the bench in some games and start the Carling and FA cup matches against weaker teams.
  15. I was hoping that Neuer had not scouted how Lamps takes his pens, every chelsea fan knew Frank was gonna smash that down the middle. Good thing is he does that so well that Neuer couldn't save it despite knowing where it was intended to go.
  16. This. People talked about Luiz's penalty, but Ashley's was one of the best executed pens I've evr seen. No goalkeeper in the world is saving that.
  17. ^^ Agreed, he's a brilliant talent, but we have Josh.
  18. Rodgers was being a c*nt in the way he treated Josh and rubbed salt into the wound with the redicilous comments he made that Josh is benefiting because he is getting to know a different city. But when you loan a player to another team, you don't expect him to be given time to adjust, especially if he was loaned halfway through the season. I f he does not have an almost immediate impact then the club won't give him the time and chances to prove himself simply because they won't benefit from him in the long run since he will be returning to his parent club. Well, if the rumors are true and the do want him, then that says something about how much the need a player like him if they are looking to secure the loan so early in the window.
  19. Good luck to him. Though I'd argue that he was the No.1 before during the Grant fiasco time here.
  20. ^^ Yes, having both him and Luiz in the same team would be qute epic
  21. Swansea was different because Josh went there mid season with the club exceeding expectations and Allen and Briton having two of the best passing stats in not just the PL but all of Europe. Why would Rodgers change anything in his starting lineup especially that Josh was very "shy" in his contribution in the only game he was given a chance?
  22. I don't see him leaving. He and Torres will be contending for that lone striker role next season and I have a feeling the Spaniard will come off second best. Either way, with 7 competitions ahead, both will get their fair share of matches.
  23. I'd rather he went on loan to a PL side to get used the league. I heard that Southampton want him.
