LOL, the rumored interest is literally 2 days old! Relax.
-
Plus he's homegrown which is something we desperately need with the departures of Lampard and Cole and probably Bertrand and Moses as well.
-
And we're not exactly getting Cesc for peanuts. 36m euros or about 30m pounds is a lot of money. Which only goes to strengthen the opinion that Jose really does have a major role for him and does believe that he suits his plans if he's willing to overlook other available options for him and pay over 30m.
-
Just watch Jose switch to 4-3-3 when Cesc arrives to play both him and Rami in the starting XI!
-
I will not judge him on his time at Barcelona where he was playing a completely different system and often playing out of position. Despite his "Barcelona DNA" he never fit their philosophy or the entire La Liga for that matter. He's much more suited for tempo and physicality of the EPL which is why one of the reasons I want us to sign him is that none of our rivals do. If he can produce even 70% or 80% of what he did at Arsenal, he'd be a HUGE addition to the team.

Hey. Was just thinking today that you haven't been on here in a while. How do you manage to "accidentally" get a job? I can't even get one intentionally! Sorry to hear about your mom. How's she doing now? Much better hopefully? I can imagine how settling in to a new country will be difficult for a family even if it is your original home. Hopefully you'll be back to your daily routine soon Not much going on with me. I graduate in 3 weeks, and this insanely busy exam period can't end quick enough. This past month has felt longer than my entire 5 years in university!

NOOOOOOOOO. Not Palmeri! Every time he says something about a Chelsea transfer, it goes horribly wrong!

Typically, Adrian Durham is using Frank's departure to take a swipe at JT and the club http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2646985/ADRIAN-DURHAM-Chelsea-won-friends-model-pro-Frank-Lampard-captain-blemished-John-Terry.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490&utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=twitterfeed

Reading that article, the realization dawned on me that he won't play for Chelsea ever again.. I'm literally tearing up. Not sure what I'll do when Terry calls it day.

This! "He plays the game the right way, in a bold way, in a sporting way." http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/10870970/Frank-Lampard-confirms-he-will-leave-Chelsea-with-move-to-New-York-City-and-MLS-in-the-offing.html

Genuinely feel honored to have witnessed the most part of the career of the greatest Chelsea in history. That's something you remember for the rest of your life and tell your kids about.

For me, probably: 1. Bolton 2. Villa 3. Barcelona But so many others. Obviously the Bayern one, Hull, the FKs against Ipswitch and Tottenham, the one against Liverpool in the 44, then there's Moscow equalizer...etc. So many more!

Pretty amazing how Carrick went form hero to zero ins one single year. Last season when utd were doing well he was the master mind behind it all and was nominated for PFA player of the year, this season when the team is struggling and Moyes tactics left him isolated in midfield, he doesn't even get picked in the squad. The life of a defensive midfielder, I guess...
-
Didn't even know it came out in English! Must get it ASAP..
-
Doesn't matter. He has "sources"!
-
LOL right. In my mind, I always mix the past two seasons together because they were both similar in the sense that they were transition seasons.
-
He's been here 3 4 seasons First season was abysmal, second was beyond incredible and third and fourth was average. EDIT: Fixed.
-
Mostly because of his "Barcelona DNA" and because of what he's said about Chelsea over the years. Then there are the issues with Frank and that dive in the CL semifinal and the fact that he was Arsenal captain...etc. Frankly, I don't see what's not to hate about him!
-
I hate this cunt. I hate this cunt. I f***ing HATE this cunt! On the other side, I realize he's probably the most suitable and realistic option available and it would upset Arsenal fans, so I'm on the fence here...

He used to be very promising, but I don't think he was anywhere near amazing. His loan at Valecia didn't go as planned, although that had more to do with the bad season Valencia had than himself. The change of manager there really hurt him because it came just after he established himself as a starter and he was never really in the team after that. Anyway, I don't think he's particularly a player that suites our current system. I can't see Jose trusting him in the pivot if I'm honest.
-
I must admit I'm disappointed, I expected by now at least one media outlet to say that the real reason Frank has rejected a contract renewal is because of the imminent arrival of Fabregas...
-
Well, that's an underwhelming end to one of the most glorious careers, if true.
-
That's a great idea. I'd start one, but I'm on my phone. Maybe you or someone else can do it?
-
He actually said that?! Can't get any more soulless than that...
-
Of course you can. There is no one way to win in football. The game is much more complex than that! Any certain combination of a team can win, it just comes down to opinions about which combination/age group/strategy/philosophy is more likely to win you stuff. And even then, there's still a huge amount down to sheer luck. For example, we won the CL with the likes of Kalou, Bosingwa, Torres, Malouda...etc. So obviously you can win the CL with players of that 'caliber', but if I want to win the CL, I would not go buy those players because it is extremely unlikely that you win the CL with those even if it still could, and has happened. Similarly, I believe that you are most likely to win with a squad of players all in the peak of their careers. There still is a possibility that a bunch of 18yo can win, but I won't go into a season with a team of U20 players because you're much more likely to win with a team core made up of experienced and established players in the best moment of their careers.
