Credit to Everton yesterday, they marked him out of the game pretty well. McCarthy was on him every single time he tried to cut inside.

Honestly the Cahill one was more terrible marking by CIty than a great delivery. It was an average delivery from Willian IIRC. I think he's our best crosser from set-pieces atm. I think what we do in training also has an impact. Last season we scored more goals from set-pieces than any other team in the league and quite a lot from corners. We must not be practicing corners enough in training.

Cahill also hit the post from a corner vs CIty, and JT got one cleared off the line recently as well IIRC, and we did just score a 93rd minute winner from a great set-piece delivery But yea, I agree with the rest of your post. Frank lacks the consistency in his delivery from corners that he used to have and the rest just seem to either hit the first man every time or over hit it outside the box. WIth Mata gone, we really don't have a corner delivery specialist. I always wondered about Luiz maybe taking them...

A great performance after a week rest. Maybe it was fatigue behind his last two poor performances after all.

He looked much much better in the second half, at least what I saw from it. Physically very good, and he even took the ball out of defense and played good passes in a couple of times.

Watched the first 30 mins and 15 of the second half and indeed he did look like one of the best players on the pitch. Looking much more like the player we saw at Watford.

From I saw from them in the group stage, they're a pretty physical team which might be a problem if we allow them to play the way they want to play. On the other hand, they're rather slow and will struggle to deal with our AMs.
