Don't forget Khedeira!
-
Yesterday he looked as bad as he was for us. 8 times out of ten when he gets the ball he tries to beat his man by knocking the ball forward and trying out run him. Then he gets shouldered, overpowered, looses the ball, falls to the ground and looks at the ref who obviously gives nothing. He desperately needs a new trick...
-
Lmao, that's one ex-Chelsea player I hadn't thought about in years! PS: Falcao out and suddenly Colombia look a hundred times more likely to score...
-
First Colombia match I watch this tournament. Cuadrado and Falcao looking pretty hopeless. That's encouraging...
-
For some reason quite a lot of bang average strikers do...
-
Happy fathers day to all the fathers out there. Also...
-
He did score that Maradona-esque goal at the Bridge in Carlo's last match...
-
Exactly. Dunno what Southgate has been doing all this time...
-
Wow the England U21 look awful. There is absolutely zero cohesion in the team. Watching them against Sweden and they look nothing like a team. They are relying completely on individual skill which is in itself pretty rare.
-
Was a huge fan of his during his Arsenal days. Haven't seen him much for Barcelona, though. Definitely a better deal than what is being quoted for Witsel.
-
Yeah last season's yellow looked better in picture than in reality. I went to buy one but when I actually saw it at the store I got the home kit instead.

Think this pretty much sums up the Oscar to Juve situation:
-
There's a huge difference between saying that you think that we need to improve on our Ramires and Mikel, which is more than completely acceptable, and saying things like we would be "screwed" or "fucked" if they play or that it is impossible to compete with them even as backup players as if you are talking about a couple of below amateur players who are only part of the team for charity reasons especially when those two have been crucial in the past for us winning A LOT of trophies. I know that you don't mean to slag them off but a bit more respect goes a long way in keeping the discussions civil and rational.
-
Guys, I know you're all trying to make a point but can we please have a bit more respect for Ramires and Mikel? Let's agree to disagree about Mikel and Rami being adequate backups but let's please also agree to stop disrespecting them and saying and implying that they are beneath us especially when those two helped us win so much in the past.
-
But they know that Cech deciding to stay was never a real option, he was always going to leave and thus by choosing (rightly) to bring Thibaut back they've decided that Cech is no longer needed and hence in a sense threw him out. The club's decision to bring Thibaut is the main factor in Petr leaving, not his own will to leave the club.

Sorry I don't have enough time now to answer this point by point, but generally, why would Witsel come here when he can have a much bigger role at Juventus who are already a top European team. Ramires won't lose his role in the team. There has been no such indications at all and Jose is obviously a very big fan of his. Can't see how CM is the main issue when we are only talking about possibly signing a backup player. Even Jose has said that this the area where we are most stable in.
-
Suicidal? We're talking about a slightly better backup player! 5 players for 2 positions would be a total waste. May I remind you that throughout lasts season we had 3 CBs for 2 positions. The third CB was Zouma who barely got a few matches at CB. Jose does not rotate or change his team.
-
We did well towards the end of the season when we played with Rami to help Cesc and Matic with Willian further up, instead of trying to play Cesc up the pitch which did not work regardless of who was playing behind him simply because Cesc does not have the pace and physical strength to play that role. No great player will accept to come here just to be a backup player especially with Jose's rotation policies. At the same time, we can't pay those ridiculous amount for a squad player. Mikel is our least expensive first team player (RLC aside) on our FFP books, Ramies our fifth least expensive. We need squad players like that. We need an attacking midfielder first and foremost, we need a CB because we only have one of those and he's 34! We need a good back up keeper, we need someone to replace Luis if he leaves and we need a striker, two if Remy leaves as a result of us signing Falcao. Also signing a central midfielder means burying RLC's Chelsea career. Witsel or almost any new CM would get more minutes than what Mikel is getting, minutes that will most likely be cut out of RLC's time.
-
We gain nothing by forcing him to fulfill his contract, on the contrary we lose the possible 10m fee. Also, we are not a club that treats players that way. If someone wants to leave he should be allowed to. I think its this FIFA culture to treat players like we actually own them and to forget that those are actual people working for a living.
-
Too good, and more importantly too expensive, to sit on the bench. Central midfield is an area we more than have covered. Unless one of Cesc, Matic, Ramires or Mikel wish to leave, we should be spending the money elsewhere.
-
Stay on the bench! He's a world class keeper, one of the best 5 in the world. Of course the club knew fully that he would leave once Thibaut is preferred over him. I'm not saying that was a wrong decision, it was clearly the right one, but from Petr's point of view that was basically the club telling him he is no longer needed and should leave. He's already exceeded expectations and showed a great deal of loyalty by sticking with the team last season despite being on the bench.
-
If you don't want him here, try his achilles heel instead
-
Was going to reply with a joke about homosexuals...butt fuck it.
-
Up until replacing him with a younger keeper when he was still world class and would start in almost any other team in the world. Petr has the right to go wherever he wants and still be held in the highest regard here. He's still world class, and the club decided to throw him out, he didn't want to leave. He just sat an entire season on the bench and was more than a top professional about it. He deserves to be allowed to leave to wherever he wishes.
