Sturridge gets first Three Lions call-up
CHOULO19 replied to NiclasCFC's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
I think England will lose the match in midfield. Even if Danial starts he will probably get poor service. I mean parker vs Xavi? I don't know whether to laugh or cry! -
17m??? We wouldn't be stupid enough to pay that much...would we?
-
That would be great. It really amazes me that it hasn't already been implemented in Stamford Bridge.

Yeah, I'm a Juve fan, but I still think that the club is being very disrespectful to a True legend and to the fans as well who worship him. I mean the man, at his peak, decided to play in the Italian second division just for the love of Bianconeri. It's really shameful that the game has reached such a materialistic level.

Mikel vs Blackburn: Vertical Passes from the "Horizontal Man"

That exactly was my point. Of course I don't want to see Romeu and Bertrand start at the Emirates or Old Traford, but maybe at home against Swansea or Wigan or Aston Villa so they can get some well-deserved PL experience. Concerning how good (or not good) Romeu is, I guess it's a matter of opinion, every one is entitled to his own. -

I'm having a hard time honestly imagining Capello coming up with a plan to stop Spain....he's no Mourinho. -
A Triangle of Errors against Blackburn
CHOULO19 replied to CareFreeChronic's topic in Chelsea Articles
Good work, but at the time I also felt that JT shared the blame for the through ball as well since he played Holliet onside. But this chance aside, blackburn had very little opportunities in the game. I really thought our tactical defending showed some improvement in this match, and almost every chance Blackburn got was due to an individual error (more often than not from Alex). I do believe that we are moving in the right direction in perfecting our defense. -
I'd love to see the look on Dalglish's face when we beat scumpool both in the league and the cup.
-
I agree a loan would be the wrong move for him. His situation is different than Sturidge last year. I think he is getting enough minutes with the first team and reserves, it's just a matter of time before he signs of great improvement.
-
He got himself kicked out of Juve for saying just that. Signing would be very difficult seeing as, if I'm not mistaken, Juve still owns half of his contract. We'd need to negotiate with both teams.

The mirror really needs to find something better to write about. What's next? "4yo thinks JT is a girl"

Oh great, every time this story starts to die out, something stupid like this happens. And the media frenzy begins...now.

Mikel vs Blackburn: Vertical Passes from the "Horizontal Man"
CHOULO19 replied to CareFreeChronic's topic in Chelsea Articles
Actually I meant his great performances in the carling cup (each a 120 mins), during which he showed tactical awareness and passing abilities way beyond his age. I can get why you think he's not ready to start PL matches if you haven't watched these two performances. I felt the same way before them as well. Now if you look at the stats here: (which by the way only include PL matches). You can actually see clearly that Romeu has a much higher successful forward passing percentage than Mikel, but more importantly you can see that he has the highest interception per 90min ratio in the entire Chelsea squad, which in my opinion would make him a great success with our high-line defending. Again, I'm not saying that Romeu is better than Mikel, he has no where near as much experience as him. I just think that with the performances he's put in, it is worth a risk to start him in a few PL matches instead of Mikel. Same goes for Rayan Bertrand imo as well. -

He deserves this more than Carol and Welbeck imo. I'm very excited for him, a couple of good performances (especially vs spain) could me he plays the Euro group stage matches. I could only imagine how much confidence he could gain from such an important experience. -
Yeah Bilboa totally wasted the win. But still Barcelona didn't win, and they're 3 points behind Real Madrid, I'm not too upset.

Logic 101: Just because someone says that a player is better than another player, does not mean that he is implying that the latter is shit/no-good. It's like saying: "Getting a PHD is better than just graduating college." ; That does not, by any means, insinuate that college graduates are stupid. My point is, no one is bashing Mikel. This thread is made to praise Mikel. However, I believe that the point that was being made is that Romeu has put in great performances every time he set foot on the pitch, and has showed he has the ability to play at a higher tempo (I don't mean he has more pace) than Mikel. So maybe he has a earned the right to a chance to prove himself at a higher level in the form of a couple of PL matches starting position. -
I don't know why I love seeing Barcelona loosing....great technique in the finish from Pique!
-
I feel sorry for him. I know it's in the rules, but rules are supposed to be modeled after a certain logic. There is nothing logical with the ref's call there.

The best in the history of football. Though he really never strikes me as smart whenever I hear his press conferences and statements.
