This game reminds me of my team (I was the captain) in the recently concluded tournament that we played. Most players had given up before the game as we got thrashed 9-4 in the league by them. I decided to play on the counter and we won the game 3-2 in extra time and made it to the semis. In semis we were playing against the second best team. They played the best football in the league. Slick passing and movement. Again everyone thought the quarter finals was a fluke. But our confidence grew on beating a top team in the quarter finals. And we again played on counter as I knew my team didnt have players with great technique and we coudlnt match them. We ended up beating them 5-3 in regular time. This team had beaten us 4-1 in the league. Having a striker like Drogba helped us who could take on their 2 defenders. Point is, we made it against the odds when no one gave us a chance. We were battered by these teams in the league but we raised our game when it mattered. And at this moment I see the same with Chelsea. No one is giving them a chance to get past Barca. I come across people who tell me that we will be thrashed by 5 goals. But if you have played the game you know that nothing is impossible. Chelsea know they cant match Barca at skill level. They have to play to their strengths. Be Organized, Press, defend like your life is on the line and dont lose possession and break fast and hit them on counter. By the way, we lost in the finals 3-1 as we had a man sent off (2 yellows). i wouldnt go by last night's result. It is hard to motivate yourself when you know that you have your one foot in the semi finals. Most of the fans were takling about the semi finals against Barca, so why wouldnt the players think the same.? It is all about motivation, more over Benefica are not Napoli or Barca. When it comes to games against a top top side, I am confident we will raise our game. Against Benefica we were not motivated enough for several reasons and also with a lead of 1-0 you really are not sure how to approach the game and we missed alot of chances. People have written us off after watching us against Benefica. Well, good for us. The last few times we have been the favourites, we suffered injustice, this time we are the under dogs just like Liverpool of 2005 and Inter of 2010 and hopefully the luck is on our side. You know what would make me happy? Scoring the winner in the 92nd minute and then watching the players and staff in blue running on the pitch and rejoicing in front of those catalans.

I just read this post and I am laughing. What a joke of club and "legends" we have. This time players stopped performing and got AVB sacked. These "legends" need to be shown the door and the owner needs to learn not to make friends with these "Legends"

Not playing Kalou, Anelka and Alex because they refused to sign extension is just being stupid. You have to look at what you need in the present to win games. You cant just go with my way or high way theory specially at the big clubs where pressure to win is huge. Benching Cole and Lampard at Napoli was like signing his own death warrant. The guy is a good tactician but his naivety was exposed as he tried to change too many things too soon.

Oh I bet my house on Drogba being up for it after what happened in 09. Drogba when he wants to play he is unplayable as defenders keep bouncing off him. But those occasions come rare. If we play like the Chelsea of Old with Power they have no chance unless UEFA has one of their corrupt referees officiating the game. One thing this season that may work to our advantage is that unlike previous seasons no one is expecting us to win it. Pressure is off. All in All Chelsea has scored 11 goals and so has Barca. We have won once against them but they have won twice. But they have not won against us with 11 on 11. We have not won at Camp Nou. But if you have followed these games you will know that we have always had the upper hand and we were always undone by the Referees. I for one wanted to play them after 09. They were so undeserving to go through that season with the referee being so incompetent.
