I read a stupid article today from paul merson in which he says that Chelsea will struggle against Barcelona because the pitch size is almost the double that at Stamford Bridge. :banghead:

Stamford Bridge Pitch: 103 X 67 meters Camp Nou Pitch: 105 X 68 meters. Yeah thats ALOT!!! Too much is being made of the pitch size. It doesnt matter how big it is, what matters is how you use it.

Roberto has really surprised me to be honest. At first I thought it is the players reaction to change just like it happened in case of Kenny Dalglish when he took over from Roy Hodson. But it seems like Dimatteo has to take alot of credit for this change too. His squad rotation is superb. Most people were expecting two different teams for FA CUP and Barca Semi Finals but he surprised everyone by playing almost the same team. His tactics against Barcelona were superb. I have to admit that with the change of managers we have had a change of luck too. And I would definately take a lucky manager over an unlucky one. Against Arsenal he didnt go gung ho. He hasnt panicked, he seems happy with the draw and confident enough to beat Newcastle. His major change has been putting Ramirez on the wing and it has been a successful tactic. His change from 4-3-3 to 4-2-3-1 has been exceptional.

Drogba a doubt for Barcelona? Its a mind games. Yes he may have had knocks but that statement from DiMatteo will keep them guessing.

Inter Milan were very lucky last time around. Barca were 1-0 and during the end Bojan's perfectly legitimate goal was ruled out by the Refs. Had it stayed with a score of 2-0 Barca would have gone through.

I would start Kalou instead of Mata simply because Kalou is fantastic at tracking back and defending. and Lampard to spray the passes around. If we are chasing the game, I would play Mata and Torres in place of Meireles and Kalou.

My Post in the Match thread on 8th of April............. This "worlds best team ever" would not have been the "worlds best team ever" if it hadnt been for Ovrebo. This team needed a push from the referee to get where they are now and after that night this team never looked back and reached new heights. It has been 3 years since that night and in that period they didnt face their nemesis aka Chelsea FC. Now they do. And I firmly beleive that it is us who would bring this team down to its knees. No one is giving us a chance but I beleive that it is in our destiny to crush this team and go on to win the Champions League. I cant stop thinking about it. all these years Chelsea was one of the most feared teams in Europe. One of the best teams ever not to have won the European Cup because of a ghost goal, because of penalties not given, cus of a missed penalty kick but now that we are shit and no one is giving us a chance, we have somehow made it to the semi finals and face the team against who we suffered the worst injustice in modern football. Milan got a Draw and all they had to do was get a draw at Nou Camp. They got the away goal but Barcelona got two Penalties one of which was a dodgy decision. Also, Milan missed alot of chances at Nou Camp most prominent one was Robinho one on one against Valdez.

The fans the media are making a huge deal out of it. They talk as if we are Wigan playing against Barcelona. Some say we MUST have a 2-3 goal advantage going into Camp Nou, some say Chelsea must pray to get something out of the two legs, and a whole load of bullshit. When you look at AC Milan, they missed alot of chances and Barcelona had to get two penalty decisions in their favor to beat them. They were also beaten by Getafe and Osasuna. More importantly, Barcelona STRUGGLES to get victories while playing away from home add to that the fact that they are playing us aka their bogey team. More Importantly, we dont have to beat Barcelona. We just have to draw two games against them and go to the finals on away goals. Not as terrifying as some idiots trying to make it out.
