We have to put our best players on the field, the formation is sorta irrelevant because when put in a battle, the players will figure it out.

kinda agree with this. I think if we saw Mata playing with that brazil team, we'd be saying he needs to be our #10. Just because Oscar is good at #10 doesnt mean he won't be as good in a formation similar to 4141. But I'm not sure how we'd look defensively.

I fail to believe Newcastle and Arsenal have better mids than we do. We certainly were lacking in creativity last year with only Mata being a real passer but a striker can't be spoon fed all day. Ofcourse its not all Torres fault, but he definitely isn't helping our mids out either. Also how was DD able to score so many goals in cup games?

We needed a new striker when DD were here, he only showed up for cup games last year. We don't have 1 good goal scorer on this team and we will never win without one. Not only do we need a RW, we need a striker that can score a lot of goals. We really don't owe Torres the starting ST position.

This was partly the reason I said our club was overrated, because we don't seem ready to win trophies. We also really need a striker to score a lot. When was the last time a ream won a domestic cup without a 20+ goal striker?

that world cup win seemed to be tiki tak to me. But just not as boring as this year's. And you can't seriously say Spain were lucky, just sounds like soure grapea to me.

Off topic but didn't someone here say Cahill was faster than Messi? Watching barca vs Milan and if Cahill could run like that, I doubt would give up many goals.

lampard has not really played as a DM this preseason, I think Oscar can play that role.
