  1. For all of the AVB Lovers.... Just have a look at Sunderland as an example. Under Steve bruce, the same bunch of players who couldnt buy a goal and struggled like second grade footballers, suddenly start playing well the moment A brilliant manager comes in, Martin O'neil. You simply cannot keep blaming the players week in week out, its also the correct preparation, motivation and leadership abilities of a manager that make draws and losses into wins. Now i cant say for certain that AVB is bad, as i dont know him, and i am not qualified to become the next Chelsea Manager, but from the look of things, 1. AVB looks clueless on and off the pitch. 2. I hate his press conferences and interviews. I feel like killing myself every time he speaks.... uses the same words every week....and please clean your throat FFS. 3. He plays Bosingwa every week.....sign of a stubborn man, lacking intelligence. 4. Plays players out of position all the freaking time. 5. Substitutions are weird to say the least. The timing of them is wrong, the players substituted are questionable. 6. Doesnt change formation 3 quarters into the season. 7. In certain matches when players are motivated, like valencia and city, we win. I honestly feel the players were motivated on their own, rather than AVB Inspiring them. In other matches where their motivation levels are not that high, AVB does not have the abilities to motivate them. 8. He is a great manager in theory, but practically he cant practice what he preaches. 9. I feel he got lucky with Porto, simply because the team he inherited was very good, same as what happened in Chelsea when Avram Grant took over. Surprisingly, Real madrid or Barca or for that matter any big club didnt swoop in for him after his great season taking us to the verge of CL Victory. Our board took a gamble. 10. There is no embarrassment in admitting something did not work out, as it will surely happen with Torres soon enough. 11. Just because we have fired 6 managers before, does not necessarily mean the 7th manager should stay forever and have a god given right to rebuild the club. He has to Earn It. 12. In the larger scheme of things, if we fire a 7th after this season ends and stick with an 8th manager for the next 6 years, that is still a victory for the football club. An established manager who is in control. 13. Earlier on, the whole talk about Torres was that he needs the team of new players to play around him.... soon enough everyone realised that a 50 mill. striker should not need an investment of another 50 just to get him going. 14. AVB is a manger and shouldnt need a brand new set of players to perform as a manager. He isnt managing the current crop of players well and till he doesnt show that he can manage players of all countries, ages, egos and profiles, I dont think he should get a free pass to go ahead with his project. We are so disillusioned with changing managers that we tend to overlook the obvious sometimes. This is such a moment. AVB Is struggling badly. He currently is not being able to cope, but is putting on a brave face. People have lost confidence in him this season, so now he is talking about next season's project. I also think he has lost faith in his players and so have they lost faith in him. So many losses of faith with one manager arent good. I hope AVB shows some signs that he can manage a club such as chelsea which has player egos, and board of directors that are not as cohesive as maybe they were at porto, and an owner who likes having some control and autonomy at the club along with a 100 different problems and advantages that come with a club such as Chelsea. If he doesnt manage to improve/change/modify our game for the next 15 games or so, that will be sad. If he can practice what he preaches even a tiny bit, good stuff.... We'll be happy to have you next season. He needs to be able to manage much more than just players at Chelsea and England. It is tough. MOST IMPORTANTLY, ABOVE ALL, IF AVB KEEPS PLAYING BOSINGWA EVERY WEEK, he needs to look at himself in the mirror and ask himself...." do i know what im doing?"
  2. Piazon is 18 years old, and from what i have seen, hes quite good.... Why not give him a chance, even if its for 20 mins. ....maybe the guy steps up .... If not, he still has time to develop. It is hyped simply because they never get to play.... The way our current team is performing , i think it is ok to try out young talent. Not for 90 mins. 20 mins or so. He might just be a superstar waiting to be discovered, if not, well we wont over hype him as we will know he needs more time. Actually, i take that back. Start Piazon, and then substitute him if required with the rubbish we have on our bench.( not all)
  3. MEIRELES OUT IN THE SUMMER LAMPARD OUT IN THE SUMMER CECH OUT IN THE SUMMER (hes a tired, injured man and has done great things) TORRES OUT IN THE SUMMER MALOUDA OUT IN THE SUMMER KALOU OUT IN THE SUMMER AM I MISSING ANYONE? DROGBA - KEEP. AVB - Only if the Above critera is met, should he be given the chance to have a go at his 'project'. How on earth are we going to replace all these players anyways??? Mcheachran will replace Lampard. Romeu will replace Meireles Torres for Lukaku ( we didnt spend 25 mill to develop a guy or to make him sit on the sidelines forever, or to loan him) Cech for Courtois, if possible. Not Turnbull. Malouda and Kalou.....HAZARD and another. I really dont mind dropping out of Champions league this season and even next season, if i can see our young players like Piazon, Kakuta etc being played in our first team....These guys are all really talented and good.... And as a chelsea fan.... I dont like looking at players who play like mercenaries.... not really caring if we lose or win.... passionless bores. These youngsters can take over the world, and if not, they will still get us a better league position than we are at presently..... Can imagine in my head.... Commentator shouting : "Piaaaaaazzzzzzzzzzzonnnnnnnnn!! what a fantastic move by this young lad. Such drive and ambition by Kakuta/sturridge to beat the player and cross the ball to piazon, who controls it , sells a dummy and rolls it in to lukakus path for a tap in" Then even if we lose that much, i dont care.
  4. Im afraid you've got it wrong here.... In Pre season, the talk around here was that Benayoun was looking good and was the best creative midfielder we had. He played really well in Pre season and was our silver lining in midfield. We anyways have such a thin squad, why loan him? To arsenal? What sense does that make? However, this is in hindsight.... If Meireles, AVB's Portuguese Pal was a success here and added to the team, then we wouldnt be saying this, unfortunately He is a deadweight too(shouldn't even be a squad player for us.....don't think he can change a game), but i guess we cant get rid of him just after one year, as that will be classless.
  5. I Love how everyone is giving their lineups when they already know AVB will play the exact same 11 that he throws in every week. Since it is FA cup, malouda might start...otherwise be prepared for the same players.
  6. I dont think anyone is saying AVB should be sacked NOW..... Carlo squeezed out the DOUBLE out of these players, minus some good additions, about 18 months ago. Yes, these players are older than then.... But the minimum requirement of any manager to squeeze out of the squad at the end of the season is a top 4 finish. AVB has been far from good and has shown few or no signs of brilliance or leadership abilities yet. However, to give him the benefit of the doubt, and to say its not him but the squad and how the club is managed overall, He MUST get a top 4 finish. That will earn him the right to work on his "project". I want to see signs that he can do a whole lot more than jumping around on the sidelines every match, while the team looks horrible and its not just Torres who is horrendous and out of form, the Whole Team Seems to be, except a chosen few. As long as he shows some inspirational abilities and leadership as well as players playing FOR HIM, I will support his project for next season, but if we play as bad week in week out till end of season and get humiliated more times, And we miss top 4....Sorry AVB. Our job as supporters is to give him every chance to succeed, but he too needs to give us every reason to believe in him. I Hope he does... at season's end.
  7. The Players arent as bad as some people here make them out to be,(except torres) They are playing way below their standards through the season. The problem may not be VB completely.... Many times when a manager is not too strong, his assistant coach holds that role of being tough and gets players motivated and does a whole lot more work behind the scenes.... RDM was a horrible 1st team coach... god knows why we hired him. Ray Wilkins commanded respect and got players playing with the right mindset. Get him back.
  8. Forget AVB out....He should have never been IN. He inherited a team at academica for half a season. Then he inherited a smashing team at porto for a season. What made our board think that this guy was the right man to REBUILD our club? You are giving a manager with relatively no experience a "project" to manage ageing players and rebuild a club?? Gambling is never too good. He cant motivate players, has changed fuck all since he has come. He might not be a bad manager for Porto, as the personalities might have been easier to manage or whatever, but AVB and RDM both are not worthy of such a big Job. I didnt like his appointment in the beginning of the season and have been slated by Some Fans here who dont agree with AVB are plastic. Ferguson was a One off. Not every manager who is shite will become like ferguson, because ferguson lost alot in the beginning etc etc. I hope he shows signs that he can manage at the top level and can mould big personalities and command respect and fear. ATM I hope he doesnt get the chance for his 'project' next season. PS : When Mata was subbed today, I could almost read his mind.... Thinking that AVB has fucking lost it,....best player on the pitch being subbed.
  9. Great stuff! Made my day....my biggest smile this week!
  10. Great Performance. If only we could have gone 4-0 up and surrendered the lead, i could have taken more positives from the game.
  11. We Lost(....). Not because of Webb or anyone else. yES he gave penalties, but if you cant keep a 3 goal lead, then we never deserved to win. There are no positives from a game that you surrender a 3-0 lead. Sad Sad day. i Expected to lose, but after we were 3 up, i thought if we dont win it now, we dont deserve top 4. We drew. How can any chelsea fan be happy about what they saw today,
  12. my bad. hope your optimism is correct, and my pessimism is proven wrong....We're all for the same cause here!
  13. What is your point here? Who said YOU think we are doomed? Please spell out the irony that is screaming at me. If i am posting pretentious crap, then your posts are more like a delusional man. The title of your thread is "our problems" and then you go on to say,,,,our problems have got us to CL...our problems have got us FA CUP.... Our problems have made us struggle to get there. If you cant see we are struggling and lack any sort of passion or motivation in the team, then that is an uncurable "problem" Why did you create this threqad anyway>? You knew it would create conflict. Big man.
  14. Because We are NOT doomed. Comparing Darlington and Chelsea. Listen to Yourself. Our problems have not Got us here and there as you have mentioned. A few good showings have got us into the CL. You conveniently forget the circumstances under which we qualified for the knockout stages. A Sturridge dive got us ahead in the FA cup. Not great football. Not those "problems". A Dive, and a do or die match. We are 4th by default, because Arsenal and Liverpool are as shit or worse than us.
  15. We dont have any problems!! Our gameplay is improving tremendously and we are really transitioning well! Its like an Apple executive seeing profits drop but saying/doing nothing because 'once upon a time" apple's market share was close to nothing and apple had previously struggled. It is a wrong analogy to say that the Apple executive has a false sense of entitlement, or that he expects too much. Chelsea's story is much like Apple, Its steve jobs is our Roman Abramovic. I expect quality products from apple, and if they serve up some shit product, i will have negative opinions because such a failure is not acceptable from Apple. A Perfectly functional apple can be a rotten apple tomorrow. A couple of months ago we were in the premiership race, 2 months ago we were in the Carling cup. Then we got out of the title race, Carling cup and are losing/drawing games left right and center. Things change with time. The fact that we are in the FA cup and CL mean nothing if we play like this. We will get knocked out sooner rather than later. The writing will then be on the wall. If we do win the CL or FA cup, well we simply cant playing like this.
  16. I watched it once. If you;re satisfied with monkeys keeping possession and doing fuck all. Good for you. Rubbish. Thats the team.
  17. Have we EVER played worse football than this before? Even pre roman our football was never so pathetic and demotivated. We might just be playing the worst football in the league ATM. even blackburn manage to play more attractive football than us currently.
  18. Everyone is not as graceful as You. This is a Forum. People think and write stuff, whether in the moment or not. Most of the comments are based on facts plus emotions. Whomsoever had to shift loyalties has probably already done that, so please dont insult the ones that are blue in and out by making such statements like " fuck off go support Barca". I watched Barca vs Wigan today. Swansea being Barca and chelsea being wigan. Its sad really. I dont understand why you dont get pissed off at the disgusting football being played by us. Dont take this post badly.
  19. We Could have spent 13 mill to buy Jose from madrid. Or any of the best managers from around the world. Instead we went ahead and got Mickey Mouse because Roman was Amused by the man. We deserved to lose and AVB shouldnt still be in the job, considering what has happened in the past, but he is lucky because we need a manager long term blah blah.. His decisions and tactics and player preperations and everything is so freaking shit. What he does right, please tell me. Transition my ass. Its called Regrettion folks. No Signings. And for all those faithfull TC forumers who were making topics saying that AVB is surely being smart saying that we are not signing anyone, but will secretly bring in talent....LOL! Players are as bad. I hope we lost today. Really ....even getting a point out of this game is embarrasing. We didnt deserve it. AT ALL.
  20. Get Piazon IN !! Cant be worse than the shitbots playing with blue shirts ATM. AVB needs to come out and tell everyone he is gay.... with Bosingwa. What a joke. The great tactical planning of playing meireles romeu and malouda in midfield.... We;re the new Wigan.
  21. Our track record of youth players speaks for itself. We sign good youth.....every chelsea fan knows of some of our best youth players who have great potential etc etc.....Then they disappear, sold, fail .... Till atleast one youth player breaks through, im not convinced. Terry was more than a decade ago. a decade.
  22. Hope he can fill the void on our left.
  23. Shakhtar might have agreed to it as it would have possibly increased their player's value by alot, which means they make more money. Plus Chelsea could have given some player to Shakhtar on loan/makeweight if wanted. Its not arrogance in any way. It was arrogance when we kept bidding for Modric even though Levy said he wasnt for sale, starting at 20 mill and ending up at 45 mill. That was arrogance. Mine was merely a sitiational assumption and suggestion to lower risk to the least possible amount.
