Arsenal need to draw against Aston Villa and we have to win 3 points.... Then both are in reach.... Our team never inspires confidence in me anymore.... Waiting for next season.... CL or not. If this game is open and pacy... i think we will get 3 points, however if it does not live up to expectations in terms of passion and pace, then can only hope for a draw or loss.

We're at home. Thats the only reason that leads me to believe we will get at least a point minimum from this Fixture..... Has draw written all over it.... We will have to nick it late on to win it.... Tough Tough game. We havent had such a season defining game in years.

top 4 only if we beat BOTH, arsenal and totenham. Our fixtures are tough.... arsenal are on too much of a high and have too much quality in play in terms of attacking... they will get third.... And even if Totenham lose the plot, we're still 5 points behind them.... meaning we have to beat them and then bear everyone else too.... It will be wierd not to be in the CL after so long..... that too after reaching the semis this season...

Haha he might become a team player at some point.... but by the current behavior and his interviews at times, it doesnt seem so...... And The Nani comparison was solely on the selfish part..... He simply shouldnt be played every game.... let him sit on the bench and THINK. All other players look to score and to make goals..... He goes broke everytime. It almost seems like he has bet his house on him scoring, so he must try at every oppurtunity. I dont want Sturridge as our CF if we play a lone striker ever. If we start playing two upfront then i guess its fine.... but he still will not help his strike partner....too solo... the types who would do great at a smaller club.... but this mentality will not work at a club like chelsea.... change it or change teams. Like someone else mentioned, and i too have noticed.... our team players stop trying and making runs when sturridge gets the ball.... he de motivates his own team.... What a player!! He has impressed already and he has a starting position in the team... So the argument that he wants to prove himself does not stand...... Now he must be benched if he cant play for the team... He loses the ball so many times in crucial moments because he doesnt want to pass the ball, but instead wants to beat players all the time...its quite pathetic really. And then his tracking and defending are non existent... Someone needs to sit him down... sadly a manager like ferguson would have already given him the bottomline.... play for the team or sit on the bench till you want to play for the team again. Its not Sturridge FC. Berbatov is an example...scored goals but did not work hard enough for the team consistently.... he isnt starting. He won his place in the team and should lose it too if his arrogance and selfishness does not improve. His trickery means nothing if there is no end product. There are 10 other players who can make that product if he passes the ball..... and then people will be chanting his name and scorers pointing their hands at Sturridges back to say "He's the man".... he created it.... or scored it.... Those are the sort of accolades he should be looking to get.... He is now a Right winger. Play the role, or sit on the bench and watch drogba.... Or Torres. I dont think he is all that as a striker anyways... scored goals but did not do anything spectacular at Bolton... He was great with his trickery and speed.... Those attributes make for a great goal scoring winger.... And so he got his chance..... He needs to learn.... Or slowly fans will stop appreciating his good intentions. I'm Tired of this guy. Hopefully he comes around, but for that he needs to be told by Someone, which i really dont think has happened yet...... There need to be some sturridge Jokes now. Dont slam me now. First Goal means everything. We need it to have any chance. They will be happy to throw wave after wave of attacks, knowing that eventually they will score one of them. We HAVE TO score first. And not starting Torres is utter nonsense, yes he hasnt scored many goals this season but i think he has shitloads of assists. Now he has got some confidence going and his pace and trickery are good too. Yes, Sturridge will beat alot of players in the opposing half, but if he doesnt score, it is quite improbable that he will play creator, knowing how he plays. Sturridge must be benched, as a punishment for not playing enough for the team. Then if required, get him on in the 65th minute and tell him, make a goal, or score it. Clichy will be tired and Sturridge can play like he has something to prove. With sturridge, there is no happiness for fans like me. Earlier on, i used to feel good and smile everytime Sturridge nutmegged or tricked a player and made runs forward.... Now everytime he does that, i know what he is going to do....keep his head down and shoot from anywhere. Sad that such great hope has turned into such a turnoff and irritating element in our team. And yet he plays every game doing the same thing again and again.

Barca have probably enabled their 1 year clause to get him back. So whats the point of developing him anymore. Cant be anything else. He;s been training. And he has proven himself already.

I Think Sturridge as a winger does not make the cut,,,,,too selfish... tries too many tricks... some work out but many many times he loses the ball by trying something fancy and we are in trouble..... He is not a winger, and is being played out of position, so why cant torres play the same role? Yes torres is shit in front of goal ATM.... but he can get better with more playing time....Sturridge as a winger is what he is and wont get any better at it.... His crossing is not any good either... Torres' crosses are good, movement is brilliant, assists goals, creates them... All Torres haters should look at the position more objectively, and while we dont have a natural right winger, judge these players for that position, rather than how much they cost and what you expected out of them. I think it is 50-50, both should fight for that position....this season atleast. Sturridge is not an automatic starter. He does not defend well or at all. Torres runs more, puts more pressure and does his defending from upfront with some great tracking and tackles. I dont remember sturridge making any tackles all season. seriously. Give him a chance. He;s humble and respectful. Sturridge when he gets subbed thinks he lionel messi being subbed and always sulks. Both are strikers, but if sturridge can play out of position, so can torres. And both are as effective. In fact , i think Torres is more effective in that position when you take all aspects of that position into consideration. Torres drogba cant both play centrally together but surely Torres can play on the right and be played in by drogba. Unlike sturridge, who will shoot from anywhere, Torres will look up and see if he can find anyone, if not, shoot away!
