  1. Di Matteo: Drogba and Torres can work (Source:http://www.sportinglife.com/football/news/story_get.cgi?STORY_NAME=soccer/12/03/20/SOCCER_Chelsea_Di_Matteo.html&TEAMHD=soccer&BID=165)
  2. Doing aerospace engg...hopefully will launch a rocket or might have to sit at the end of one.
  3. Its bad considering he'll be played out wide for England as well, and he can't pull stunts like that during the Euros. BUT, you also have to remember we were playing against championship opposition in a knockout fixture and were already 2 up before half time...I think the majority of fans were disappointed because he prevented Torres' from breaking his scoring duck earlier.
  4. Lol, touche'... But I didn't quote the tweet itself...
  5. Best not to post such stuff and ignore them altogether.
  6. True, whatever people say about Sturridge, he can still make an impact for the team with just a few explosive runs... But, I suspect the City defense will be watching him more guardedly in this match, after what happened in the reverse fixture.
  7. I think he became a bit complacent when the game was in the bag....
  8. I think rotation makes more sense than pairing them up....even if Daniel is the villain of the moment, he can still contribute to the team with his explosive pace.
  9. Well played!! I hope he gets to play in the next game, so that he can maintain this form.
  10. True, but he's also going to be playing wide for England and that's not what the manager wants to see. Small mistake in Sturridge's eyes, but for Torres...smh,
  11. The touchline spat between him and Robben during the match against Man utd is the first thing that comes to my mind...
  12. Understand what you're saying and yes I understand if players feel that way, but still, its part of being a professional not to question the boss. Also, do you think he was right to say stuff in public? If anyone has a right to be upset with AVB, its Roman. If he feels AVB is not doing good, he will sack him. All things said, something that happened over the past few months WILL NOT change my impression of Lampard: A very good player, and a very useful asset to this club. Simple as that.
  13. That shouldn't be a reason for a player to complain about the manager in public, but I agree with everything else in your post. I was also upset when things didn't work out for AVB, because of his commitment, but I'm struggling to collect more arguments in his favor. Like Alex Ferguson said about his sacking, : "Its sad, but in this day and age results are very important". Bottom-line is, for a club (or should I say company) like Chelsea its unrealistic to have someone given time like Ferguson was given.
  14. Maybe not legendary like Zidane or Scholes, but they are good players nonetheless. For nearly a decade they have been second only to Man Utd in England. But yes, its ridiculous blaming AVB for the entire fiasco even if he isn't blameless.
  15. Also think Didier Deschamps is a good option..,
  16. Just out of curiosity, do you have anyone else in mind? You said you don't want Mourinho, and of course, Biesla and Pep are both massive gambles as we will be taking them out of their comfort zones.
  17. Unlikely, but one fan(atic) doesn't represent all of them.
