  1. Just saw the video you posted in the other thread..and I have to say this: Seriously?
  2. I think its more to do with the fact that the current Man utd and Arsenal teams don't have such big personalities in their dressing rooms
  3. FROM THE SUN Di Matteo: No problem with Terry's influence:
  4. Sometimes, hell I mean most of the time, the obvious solution is not the best one. If Milan were to beat Barca, they're going to be incredibly pumped up and could be trouble. Barca on the other hand will probably keep our players on their toes when facing them. But of course, none of this matters unless we get past Benfica.
  5. Eddie hails Chelsea spirit: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/4197921/Eddie-Newton-hails-Chelseas-team-spirit.html
  6. I thought he played ok...he nearly got an assist when he whipped in a low cross that could have reached Drogba if not for some great defending. Thing is, he's more effective when we counter-attack...but yesterday Napoli was the counter-attacking team so he couldn't do much.
  7. I think a lot of people were upset for AVB when he got sacked, (I was too, because he seemed so committed) but what most of you fail to realise is that the guy is still loved at Porto, is still young and will be back in club management soon. In short, I'm more worried about US..Avb represents another failed investment and has probably halted our progress (namely transition) for yet another season...like Terry07 said, time to move on.
  8. It might have to do with Flo Mo's Haiti foundation:
  9. To be honest an RMad clash would be interesting....going one-on-one against CR7 might see Ashley Cole getting fired up again..
  10. Easy to say, but after watching last season's clash with them I think Marseille is like kryptonite for Drogba
  11. Can you imagine what that would do to Drogba? I prefer Apoel...
  12. FROM GOAL.COM "Hope Torres scores winner here. Great game" - Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney provides the striker some much-needed moral support following his second-half introduction...He didn't score, by the way. "Big night for Chelsea and a performance that looked impossible 3 weeks ago. Luiz, Terry, Lampard, Essien, Drogba all at their best!" - Former United defender and current TV pundit Gary Neville praises Chelsea's completion of mission impossible at the Bridge. "With defenders who can finish like that, who needs strikers? #cfc" - Goal.com's very own Liam Twomey with a nod to Ivanovic's late winner. "Did I just See JT giving instructions Hahha What a boss" - Arsenal's Emmanuel Frimpong was amused to see the Blues captain doing his bit in the technical area Captain fantastic | Terry doubles Chelsea's lead to leave Stamford Bridge bouncing "Just jumped up when Lamps scored! I want chelsea through....English and proud! Come on you blues!" - Another Gunner, this time Jack Wilshere, shows off his patriotic side... “Great result for Chelsea, flying the English flag high in this years champions league! Shame we couldn't join them, was so close!” - ...before wistfully remembering what might have been for his own side. “What a game! Well played chelsea and well done” - On-loan Everton man Steven Pienaar was quick to offer his congratulations. "Fancied Chelsea to win but not to progress, couldn't see them scoring that many. #iwaswrong but still technically was right" - QPR's Joey Barton confuses himself, and us, before deciding that, as per usual, he thinks himself correct...we think. "Ivaaaaaaaaaanovichhhhhhhhhhhhhh #beast" - Chelsea youngster Jeffrey Bruma gets a little bit excited after the Serb hits the decisive winner. “Congrats to Chelsea!!!... see the heart, passion & desire they all put in & love they had for Di Matteo at the end, they didn't rate AVB man” - British hip hop star Tinchy Stryder tells us what we probably already knew about Andre Villas-Boas and his former squad. "Yeeeeees! Amazing comeback! Stamford Bridge has been decisive!! We've won thanks to you! Let's enjoy this! Come on Blues!" - Midfielder Juan Mata gets giddy in 140 characters or less.
  13. I see you didn't even mention the Citeh fans :eyebrows:
  14. Hell after the last few mins, I'm thinking Fernando and Didier can even play up top together (which they did of course)...
  15. I wanted to reply to this post at the start of the match..but now I don't need to.
  16. OLD GUARD!!!!Three cheers for the OLLLLDDDD GUAAAAAARD!!!!!!
  17. Need Essien and Cole to step up their game...
  18. with a side-order of Arnesen? no thanks...
  19. Hopefully that will lay all the stupid conspiracy theories to rest...but noooo, he's being gagged by Lamps and co, so he can't speak out in public
  20. If we could draw at least 2 (or at least the Arsenal one) from the 3 games against City, Arsenal and Liverpool, there could be a chance. Edit: Assuming the remaining results are a given, of course
  21. Was thinking of the same as well..even this one from Motorhead: Or a Pride of london theme:
  22. He's an astrologer too, right? Best person to pick our starting 11
