If this thread is Eastenders, Cesc's is 'Home and Away' and the Mourinho thread is 'Made in Chelsea'. It's almost like Orwell's 1984, taking everything at face value and believing the propaganda.

I absolutely detest when an article has a 'source' and that is all it says. No quotes or anything like that, just an 'inside source'. People eat it up. I hate the English media.

I wish her name would fuck off from this website. I've had enough of hearing about her.

Am I the only one that hasn't given up on him?
-
You are silly. I left Mata on my shirt because for better or worse he still one of my favourites.
-
I say no to an interim. Just give someone the job, let them buy a few players in January and then let the real season begin next year.

What's your point? Scans didn't prove it therefore he feigned it? Your metaphor is completely ridiculous and is entirely incomparable to this situation. Stealing something and accusing another is comparable with the inclusive nature of feeling pain? What if I'm in a room with someone, leave and when I come back they are on the floor in pain but I check and there are no visual signs of injury? That means they are faking it right? Come off it, you don't know what he felt at that moment and just because he didn't bloody break his hipbone in half doesn't mean he was well enough to continue the game. There are varying degrees of injury and pain and not every match ending injury has to be a torn quadriceps. Who actually posted the information that Hazard even had scans? I don't believe it was the club, no reputable source has even reported it; if I recall the rumour was started by a less than reputable Belgian rag. Besides all sources [laughable at that] I've read have stated it wasn't 'serious' and all the sources claiming he faked it are from rubbish on Twitter. Have a word with yourself, you are just buying into what the media feeds you

I don't recall any of those players actually making statements that could be inferred as 'crying' nor do I think they made any public statements. I believe it was all media humdrum that as per usual everyone eats up. Besides the burden of proof lies on you as you are the one making the statements, you have failed to provide Weckerz with any proof, which is what he asked for.
-
Just because there wasn't a tear or a broken hip doesn't mean that he wasn't in pain. It doesn't always need to be a serious injury to rule a player out. He was obvious in enough pain for scans to be warranted. When I've played sports I've taken some hard tackles, bowls and whatnot that have hurt me too much to continue playing but haven't seriously injured me. Of course he could have feigned it but there isn't enough hard proof to believe so, only inductive logic. 'He landed on his hip like every other time, the scans proved it wasn't a serious injury therefore he feigned being in pain'. I'm sorry that sort of reasoning isn't enough for me to vilify a player. He gets the benefit of the doubt from me this time.
-
How do you know he wasn't injured? Some injuries can come and go pretty quickly. You simply don't know what happened to his hip. He could have feigned it for sure, but don't be so quick to pass judgement. He get's the manager sacked? In what capacity? Surely he had more to do with the fact that club is 16th? That is grasping at straws and coming to your own conclusions.

If I may do a Mourinho myself (remember when he predicted the Bacelona lineup?). The line-up would have been: Costa Hazard - Willian - Pedro Cesc - Matic Azpi - Cahill - Terry - Ivan Courtois He would have subbed Zouma on for Fabregas, Ramires for Matic and Oscar for Pedro past the eighty minute mark.

You know what I really hate about Twitter? The bullshit of the one word sentence at the end of the tweet. For instance: 'Messi just scored 5 goals against no-name Spanish team 23. Class.' I don't know why but it fucking boils my shit.

People are terrible aren't they? Hatred brings nothing.
-
Heh, thanks. I think sometimes a lot of people forget these 'superstars' are humans too. They are bound to all the same emotions as all of us. Everyone even footballers have bosses they don't get along with.
-
People really are ridiculous aren't they? As fickle as a pickle.

I don't buy into long term managers. Not many clubs do have that leisure. I have optimism that if the board can hire the right manager at least 2 to 3 years of good football can be played before they are sacked for the next manager. I'm not saying it's going to happen but I remain optimistic. If [it's a big if] they show the patience they showed with Jose with every next manager, it's a step in the right direction. Really, Jose was given far more time this season than any other manager before him. I doubt AVB, Scolari or even Carlo would have lasted this long with the club sitting around the relegation zone. I do believe Roman's buying power is as strong as it was ten years ago but I do believe that the club is trying to move away from the sugar daddy method to a more self sustained method. The money is there, they are just refusing to use it. Much like Arsenal a few years back. I don't have much faith in the board, but I'm not going to let them get me down.
-
I have faith in Emenalo? I never said a thing remotely close to that. Have a word with yourself. Bloody hell.

Goals don't always equate to attacking football. You know this. Inter and Chelsea had to outscore everyone in their latest CL triumphs but they didn't really playing attacking football did they? I'll give it to the club they've had games where they've attacked tremendously but it wasn't exactly the core ethos of the club under Mourinho, was it? If Mourinho hadn't stagnated why is the club 16th with a -8 differential? Why did he use the same starting XI, with the same formation, with the same tactics every week? It's not as if it's a completely different team as it was last season. I think you have your head in the first half of last season still, last season is over, dead and buried. There is no room for sentimentality of the past. The finest footballing mind of his generation wouldn't have lost the lockeroom, wouldn't be 16th and wouldn't look like a man out of his depth.
-
The club had seemingly stagnated under Mourinho, nothing was really changing. He never really did shake things to keep the opposing teams on their toes, he never really did experiment either. That happens though, the best teams stagnate and sometimes a catalyst for change is necessary. I'm not happy Mou is gone but I am optimistic that things are going to change around here. For better or worse change is something that needs to happen. The game constantly evolves and when club don't evolve with the game they are left behind.
-
They do know how to score goals but in a 'team sense'. A lot of the time it seemingly depended far too much on the individual genius of Hazard's dribbling and Cesc's passing. Defensively the team was a rock solid unit but the team was less of a unit in offence. That is how I see it anyway. The right balance needs to be struck.
-
No more 'I don't know what to do so I'll pass to Hazard' shit or that 4-2-3-1 shit. i hate to be the guy discussing lineup or tactics but I want to see a three man midfield. Matic can't spot a pass for shit and Cesc can't defend for his life, at least RLC can sort of do both to even it out. Cesc - RLC Matic
-
I just want to see goals. I want to see players like Hazard and Fabregas (love 'em or hate 'em they have the ability and technique many dream of) free of any defensive obligations. I want the players to be able to express themselves. I want to see a group of players that know what they are doing, I want to see them know how to score a goal.
-
Such a shame things didn't work out.
-
There is no irony. He states much more than that attention grabbing headline and this a direct quote from the Guardian He critiques himself as well as the other players. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/dec/15/cesc-fabregas-chelsea-responsibility-big-players-leicester

Fantastic post. I agree 100%.
