  1. ? It applies to life to. Things change.
  2. I wish he stayed. That is life.
  3. You predicted the majority of the team would be under-performing at a catastrophic level or that without signings the team would struggle? Two very different statements. A couple of signings could not and will not fix the fact that the majority of the players that won the title last year are performing at a level that is less than half of what they are capable of.
  4. No and no. At the beginning of the season no-one could have predicted Ivan's loss of ability and form, there was no reason for Baba to even be in contention at the beginning. There is more than enough time for Baba this season (fucks sake man, he could still get 30+ Premier League games) and Filipe lost his position to Azpilicueta and could never get it back. He got ample chances to prove his worth.
  5. If you can't tell the difference in circumstance between all the players listed earlier and Filipe Luis than you've no hope. Hint: Filipe Luis is 30, whilst all the over players at the time were a decade or more younger. You just saw last season, a player that was eased into the team; Zouma and it is happening right now with Loftus-Cheek. It is in front of your eyes but you blinded by the fact that Filipe Luis left. It is pretty easy to cherry pick, isn't it?
  6. Azpilicueta was eased in. It seemed to work for him. Santon was eased in. It didn't work for him. Ivanovic was eased in. It worked for him. Bellerin was also eased in last season, only playing 20 games. I never said that he mentally fragile or frail; it seems you have taken what I've posted, misunderstood it and then attack it in a flurry of confusion. It is 6 bloody games in, have some damn patience.
  7. Well aren't you essentially playing the 'if' game by saying that Mourinho should be sacked and replaced by an interim-manager? If everything goes right, the team might win a trophy and could finish top four. Nothing but hypotheticals if you are speaking about an interim-manager so to criticise someone condescendingly for playing the 'if' game is completely hypocritical.
  8. Mourinho is protecting him. Easing the player into the club and a higher standard. He could have very easily thrown him to the sharks and made him start games against the likes of Arsenal. In the off hand that he got torn to shreds by Walcott in one of his first games would not have helped in any way. The last time Mourinho was using a young fullback was Santon. He [santon] fucked up one game and got chewed out by Mourinho and started crying, he couldn't deal with the pressure and criticisms. Maybe Baba can, I don't know but sometimes it is better to err on the side of caution than just rushing things. Ivanovic is terrible but he isn't a precocious stage of development. He is mentally strong enough to withstand being told he is shit.
  9. Oh boy, the managerial merry-go-round. Who should be in charge next? How about big Sam? That cunt doesn't have a job at the moment.
  10. I really admire Southampton. They conduct business so professionally and astutely. When they sell players to clubs, they seem to know exactly who to replace them with.
  11. Nobody could have predicted that the core of Chelsea would under perform. The signings made were perfect at the time, a striker, winger and fullback. They were areas that needed strengthening in depth and they were. Diego Costa, Hazard, Ivanovic, Terry, Matic, Courtois and Fabregas are underperforming. They are all starters from last season, no manager in the world could handle 7/11 of their team falling apart in the blink of an eye. This is a freak occurrence. Everything will be fine. Thanks to a certain member for bringing this up and making it clear to me.
  12. I'm going to cook vaca frita for the first time tomorrow.
  13. I always thought he was a shitty, selfish forward but damn was I wrong. One of the best forwards in England and if he were healthy, he'd be dragging Liverpool's arse to a better position.
  14. It is amazing how he has changed his style so much from around 2007. Now he is essentially a big ol' target man that can smash in headers and put away tap ins. Just a fancy Ruud van Nistelrooy. He 'plays wide' of course, despite spending not much of his time there. Easily the best aerial forward in the world. No one can head a ball like Cristiano.
  15. 'Link up play' is another buzzword that I hate. I should keep a list of things I hate.
  16. Harry Kane will never be a Chelsea player.
  17. A football manager is a lot like a film director. When a film is rubbish the director takes the blame.
  18. Oh fuck no. Juve over performed last season and their CL final berth was an anomaly much like Chelsea's was in 2012. They have a good team but nothing near world class.
  19. Gotze is the literal definition of a wigger. His dress sense is straight outta the Slim Shady LP.
  20. The team makes Cesc look bad because they don't know what to do with his passes. The guy [Cesc] is a liability in defence and possession, anybody who has watched Barcelona and Arsenal know that. Fabregas's defensive positioning has and always will be horrible. That is why he didn't work in Barcelona's midfield. Mourinho likes structure, I get the feeling players like Hazard and Fabregas are the opposite.
  21. He does look like he has foetal alcohol syndrome.
  22. He wasn't that bad. He tried to make stuff happen but it is hard when players around don't know what to do. He has never been a defensive or a ball retaining stalwart, so I never expect that from him.
  23. Easily the third best player in the world. Behind Robbie Keane and Dimitar Berbatov.
  24. Pretty good result considering. I'll take it.
