I would, mainly because he can add something else when he plays with Matic. He's not as good as Mikel defensively, but much much better in attack. Add to the fact the reported fee is low and he's HG, sounds fine to me.

Chelsea need another deadly finisher (apart from Remy and Diego) not another one that misses easy chances like Willian, Oscar, Cesc and Hazard. Sterling's pace, movement and dribbling is fine but in front of goal he reminds me of Gervinho.

I doubt he can be a big player here. According to some people, he's a box to box midfielder, fair enough. But we don't play 433, we use 2 deep lying mids and an attacking midfielder. He's not going to play attacking midfield, so he always has to be disciplined in front of the defence. And in that role, he has not shown any stand out qualifies like vision, shooting, tackling that could make him valuable imo. Him and Matic just looks like an overly defensive pivot, the same way it does when we play Ramires or Mikel there.

Also this match further highlights the value of Fabregas. Imagine trying to break down buses without him all season. No one spotted any run all game lol

We already see enough messing up in the final 3rd, Chelsea need players that will take the team to another level (imo) More decisiveness, more consistency; like a Diego Costa signing at RW. Sterling for me is not this player, but there are certainly worse options *cough milner cough*

His numbers are better than I thought, but I've seen him countless times messing up routine chances in the final 3rd. There's the valid excuse that he's young and will obviously improve, but will Mourinho keep him in the XI like Rodgers has done no matter what? I would prefer a more established player.
