Tbf when Azpi is at LB, Ivanovic has the freedom to bomb forward and create said width. And he is actually decent at this now. Anyway a defence of Ivan-Cahill-JT-Luis does not sound like much of an improvement to me. Ivanovic will still fuck up on the right, and Luis will be caught out of position many times to actually help the situation - like Azpi always does.

Our attack is shit. I can even tolerate this if we had balance from playing all these defensive players in attack, but we even struggle in that department. Setpieces are consistently our best chances to score, unless Hazard or Cesc magic happens once a game.

I want him to just play as a DM, instead of this role where he's trying to cover for everyone. He did great earlier in the season, but was always going to hit a "bad moment"

He can't play because Azpi does not deserve to be dropped. Ivanovic obviously has something on Mourinho, because since he's been back, JT and Ivanovic are the only players who play every game and are never subbed or rested after bad performances.

Hazard has clearly improved. Compare his workrate and movement to when he first arrived. Before he would always pass the ball and stand in one place, now he makes runs into the box and that's how many of his chances/goals have come. Open play assists doesn't mean much because Hazard still creates as much as anyone in the PL, just that people miss more often now. And the only good option to create for is Costa. Unlike his first season when Mata and Lamps were on fire.

Yes, it is for this I blame Mourinho. Chelsea should not be playing a RB who needs the RW to essentially play like a wing back. Or a winger who can't do anything in attack without the help of the fullback.

Mourinho picks the players though. It's already obvious we only rely on Hazard in attack and good teams won't be beat by just 1 player. Yesterday for the first 30 mins which we were in the game, everything happened from the left wing.
