  1. I liked Peace's post because he was probably right, it's a completely different style of play at Barca. But even minus the style of play, he has also been very poor in front of goal - his 7 goals this season are a testament to that - and hasn't fared any better at International level either. So 20m for him or 20m for Schurrle who's younger, and having a good year for club and country, i know which player sounds more reasonable. There's already enough risk in transfers, than to take an even bigger one and sign a player playing well below his expected level.
  2. Hazard can play anywhere and Schurrle is in better form than Sanchez who has been terrible whole of the season. I wouldn't criticize the board for not making the same mistake they did with Torres, signing an out of form player and hoping he can magically "turn it on".
  3. He takes everything from the left side, Mata can't from there and is more comfortable when it's on the right.
  4. Thank god he got a new contract, still has a lot to offer.
  5. He always has a bad day. It can't even be called a bad day anymore, just a bad player.
  6. We played 4-4-1-1, and it was probably the best i've seen us set-up in quite a while. Very good defensive play and some good stuff on the counter, just unlucky to not score more goals really. My motm = everyone minus Torres lol.
  7. The shape of the team looks really good so far, has to be said.
  8. Hazard needs to learn how to finish.
  9. Out: Torres (free, forget that 24m shit). Essien (14m). Malouda (Free). In: Moutinho (24m). Ashley Williams (5.3m). Soldado (22m). Alex Song (19m, too high lol). KDB back. Moutinho-Song Eden-Mata-Schurrle ------Soldado------- or for a quick counter attacking game: Rambo-Song-Moutinho Eden---Soldado---Schurrle
  10. Yeah i was going to say just use the book answer lol, i repeated the 2nd one several times in my head sounded right, but you're right about all the grammar shit which i never paid attention to in school
  11. Both are correct. You can just rename this to 'the homework thread' lol.
  12. Yeah we're not getting him for sure, but like Whelan keeps saying, sooner or later he will eventually land a top job. As for Moyes, yes he has done well, but i'm more concerned with the type of tactics we will be using. Everton play a lot of route one, hoof the ball to Fellaini or Anichebe stuff, as if we didn't do too much of that already lol.
  13. Martinez is more top job calibre than Moyes. Martinez is innovative, plays a formation no one else in the league uses, and his team plays good football - the problem for him is the low quality players he has at his disposal. On the other hand i don't rate Moyes at all, not to mention Martinez knocked him out of the Fa cup, at home.
  14. As long as we don't face them with this current weak midfield and Torres as striker team.
  15. All we have to do is create decent chances for him every game (shouldn't be so hard with Mata, Hazard and Oscar behind him), in the air or on the ground and he will put the ball in the back of the net. Not to mention he's capable of scoring a few screamers, unlike other poachers like Gomez and Chicarito etc.
  16. Damn, didn't know he could speak this good english.
  17. Mourinho totally outclassed. Pellegrini's Malaga did better lol.
  18. We need a player like Gundogan, i know it has been said many times but just watching him now makes me jelly of BVB.
  19. How can they even complain about this? when a player does something this stupid, he deserves whatever he gets.
  20. Yeah finals coming up in a couple weeks, then free for a month or two
  21. I was always lurking, but didn't post much. Will do so more often now though
  22. I wanted him when he was at Udinese, very impressive and quick player. Now, while i don't watch fucking Barca, i hear their fans always complaining about him, so not sure. Edit: "Sanchez has scored five goals in all competitions for Barca this season" damn, that's a really poor figure for a forward at this stage of the season.
  23. People talking of playing him as false 9, well that would be great if he could actually finish. He's certainly no Messi, or even Fabregas at that position. Not to mention they have Gomez and Mandzukic who score lots of goals, so i really don't see the point of playing him there.
