  1. Tbf, telegraph is more reliable than any source i've seen saying Mourinho "will definitely" return.
  2. This will be the year Wigan finally go down.
  3. If you can't pick Ronaldo, then the answer can only be Di maria. On his day he an be a real joy to watch and something very different to what we have. Modric was good in the prem before, but i prefer Moutinho or Banega to him. And the rest of their squad is pretty meh to me - minus Ozil who we don't need - their defence is nothing close to other Jose Mourinho team's, and their strikers are so inconsistent these days.
  4. Well i personally didn't want him to make any changes in the 2nd half. I hate when we're trying to defend leads and take off Mata and Hazard - the 2 best players at keeping the ball and creating chances. This only increases the pressure we come under because not only are the other team pushing everyone forward, but we can't hold on to the ball - exactly like the Liverpool game. Against Swansea, even in the 90th minute we had a good chance, something that wouldn't have happened if Benayoun etc were brought on imo.
  5. I believe the adapting period applies less to forwards, than midfielders and defenders. Look at Aguero and Michu who scored lots of goals in la liga, they came to the PL and even scored at a better rate. Torres also did the same when he just joined Liverpool from Atleti.
  6. I liked Peace's post because he was probably right, it's a completely different style of play at Barca. But even minus the style of play, he has also been very poor in front of goal - his 7 goals this season are a testament to that - and hasn't fared any better at International level either. So 20m for him or 20m for Schurrle who's younger, and having a good year for club and country, i know which player sounds more reasonable. There's already enough risk in transfers, than to take an even bigger one and sign a player playing well below his expected level.
  7. Hazard can play anywhere and Schurrle is in better form than Sanchez who has been terrible whole of the season. I wouldn't criticize the board for not making the same mistake they did with Torres, signing an out of form player and hoping he can magically "turn it on".
  8. He takes everything from the left side, Mata can't from there and is more comfortable when it's on the right.
  9. Thank god he got a new contract, still has a lot to offer.
  10. He always has a bad day. It can't even be called a bad day anymore, just a bad player.
  11. We played 4-4-1-1, and it was probably the best i've seen us set-up in quite a while. Very good defensive play and some good stuff on the counter, just unlucky to not score more goals really. My motm = everyone minus Torres lol.
  12. The shape of the team looks really good so far, has to be said.
  13. Hazard needs to learn how to finish.
  14. Out: Torres (free, forget that 24m shit). Essien (14m). Malouda (Free). In: Moutinho (24m). Ashley Williams (5.3m). Soldado (22m). Alex Song (19m, too high lol). KDB back. Moutinho-Song Eden-Mata-Schurrle ------Soldado------- or for a quick counter attacking game: Rambo-Song-Moutinho Eden---Soldado---Schurrle
  15. Yeah we're not getting him for sure, but like Whelan keeps saying, sooner or later he will eventually land a top job. As for Moyes, yes he has done well, but i'm more concerned with the type of tactics we will be using. Everton play a lot of route one, hoof the ball to Fellaini or Anichebe stuff, as if we didn't do too much of that already lol.
  16. Martinez is more top job calibre than Moyes. Martinez is innovative, plays a formation no one else in the league uses, and his team plays good football - the problem for him is the low quality players he has at his disposal. On the other hand i don't rate Moyes at all, not to mention Martinez knocked him out of the Fa cup, at home.
  17. As long as we don't face them with this current weak midfield and Torres as striker team.
  18. All we have to do is create decent chances for him every game (shouldn't be so hard with Mata, Hazard and Oscar behind him), in the air or on the ground and he will put the ball in the back of the net. Not to mention he's capable of scoring a few screamers, unlike other poachers like Gomez and Chicarito etc.
  19. Damn, didn't know he could speak this good english.
  20. Mourinho totally outclassed. Pellegrini's Malaga did better lol.
